2 The Park Of Dreams

"It's pretty nice I guess"

Stretching down his head, Ren thought about what to do for today. After this it was over the school was about to start and 3 years in a dorm wasn't by choice.

"I just hope we have a single room," I swallowed my saliva "Calm down, it's one of the best in the country so of course, it's gonna have a room for each person!"

Loosening his shoulders and ankles he became one with the oak bench, Ren smelled the fresh flower-filled hair giving a sense of relief to his clouded mind.

Turning his head to the right he saw a few kids running through the garden with 2 women talking about how fast they were and stuff like that.

"Being a kid was awesome"

Ren was not nearly old enough to worry about that but the school had already started adding weight to his mental health, and 3 years away from family just added to the many worries he had.

It was almost like a new rock was being added each time, Ren's father always comes back late even though he's extremely loyal to my mom. Because thanks to his work he has a lot of trips but since the pay is good he can't say no.

But Ren doesn't know any of this and thinks he just left them to do whatever, since he wasn't even able to show up for his last birthday he resented his father.

"This stupid..." I crunched a piece of leaf over my shoulder, my hands trembling with boiling water.

He sighed, calming down after a good 10 minutes or so. He raged more than normal these days- Maybe because of the fact the day was getting closer, but his anger seemed abnormal. Maybe everything he bottled up was coming up at once.

"This is relaxing" He toppled down his head, thinking if he could sleep here.

Normally He would already have left for home, but the relaxing warm sun waves and the wavy breeze kept him locked up on the bench. Even if he was drawn on by children by a marker while asleep it would be worth it.

He closed his eyes that was darker than black, breathing out a mist of moisture. He took on a little grin before entering his dream world... But today was a different case

...

"...?"

Ren Looked around his dream world: It was the park where he slept at the coconut trees surrounding it in a circle the children that were running stopped in place almost like time had stopped. Bushes cut to be a cube surrounded by 4 benches.

The boy looked at his hand with his eyes swirling. A golden-handled and cyan-blue blade was on his hand. On the blade aside from the shiny glow, it was inscribed with words, Ren cannot understand written on it "CyreG Pkxge Grocx"

Now with his spine sweating the ghost-quiet area felt darker and mistier, the boy looked back at the cyan blade the glow seemed to have become shinier. Ren stood there in silence carefully inspecting the sword as his mind started making up voices.

Bam, Bam

Tip, toe

Drip, tap

"Hu..h what is going on?"

Glancing over his shoulder a figure stood with a red halo on his head, its proportions were all the same as Ren but its body was covered with a dark mist that made it impossible to identify his look. With glowing eyes, he gazed at him pulling out a dark sword from thin air.

"What the f*ck are you" Pointing his sword at the creature, his legs and arms trembled "Don't you dare"

The creature rushed with a slash, at the last minute Ren pulled it at his right blocking his attack but flinging him into some plants in the process. The creature didn't wait and slashed at Ren's head, he flunked his head back hardly avoiding the creature's attack.

Who is this man, and what is he trying to do?

"Who are you!!" The monster rushed back swinging like a madman, Ren knew if he didn't attack like a beast he was gonna be long gone- But since he had been forced to train in the sword he was able to block and avoid.

But... The strength difference was overwhelming he couldn't even take a swing or he was dead. He felt lightheaded and could feel his legs shaking and his body wobbling around.

"Now or never"

Monsters' attacks were getting lousier that was obvious it was a perfect time, He gained the strength in his legs and jumped going for an uppercut swinging with his full power. His eyes emitted red like a small sun. He jumped at the halo mustering all his strength at the glowing halo.

"Anything that glows red IS A WEAKPOINT"

Right before the attack made contact, a woosh sound came. Ren found himself throwing up blood 2 meters away from where he was. The monster stabbed him and then kicked him afterward with overwhelming 'power'.

"HEUGH" Another large pool of blood came out of his mouth, his eyes getting dimmer.

Across the rubble the creatures made a mouth of white glow showing a sinister smile, making Ren seem even more pathetic by the monster's taunt to death.

He was no match.

...

Stretching his arms and legs he yawned like a baby elephant, opening his eyes back at the park as if nothing had happened. A dream is mostly forgotten a few seconds after you wake up but Ren could remember every detail perfectly.

"What kind of dream is that" It felt like his heart had stopped "I should just go home and not worry about it"

With the sun setting down he found the perfect excuse to escape from his problems, but he seemingly didn't realize he had been sleeping for a whole day... And tomorrow was the day of his departure.
