A bonding is an essence in a ring or necklace that any average person receives from their Grandparents on his/her twentieth birthday. The way bonding works, is that some random person on the Earth receives a necklace/ring identical to yours. You can meet your partner at anytime after your twentieth birthday, though it's most common after the twenty-first.
