3 LETTER

Rakesh and Nidhi, as soon as they heard about their son's problem, along with their daughter Sanjana rushed from Lucknow to Kanpur to his aid. To their surprise, Sumit's eyes have returned normally by morning. And Sumit told them all about his last 2 days horror.

Sanjana, Sumit's elder sister, is a well-reputed psychologist, said it might have been epilepsy and maybe he was getting panic attacks. And heterochromia might have been an optical illusion since the dining room in the hostels weren't very well lit. And according to her knowledge, this kind of thing wasn't practically possible. She hypothesized that the dreams or visions Sumit had were just an indication of his inner fears of ghosts and animals, averting to the fact that he was always scared of dogs and cats since childhood, one of the reasons why they didn't have a pet.

But as soon as he mentioned about Gopala, Rakesh's cigar feel out of his mouth. Being a famous business-man and a person with a very strong personality, Rakesh was always serious, stern and hard to startle but seeing him react to name "Gopala" like this made him more suspicious.

His family stayed with him for that night, since they were really worried about their kid. Sanjana, even though she gave an unbeatable explanation of these weird things, a part of her was not concerned and doubted that this might be an oversight.

It was 12:00 clock, and Rakesh and Nidhi were in deep sleep. Sanjana was awake, as she was still wondering possible explanations about these chain of events. Unable to get any sleep, she decides to go to her brother and talk to him, since now she can get talk to him freely as their parents are asleep.

As soon as she leaves for Sumit's room, she sees Ananya spying inside. She was just looking inside and smiling from time to time. For a moment, thousands of weird thoughts ran about her. After a while, she recognized her, Sumit's childhood friend, and a possible love interest.

"Ahmm...so if it isn't Ananya? So I see you have grown enough to stalk on my brother right ?" Sanjana asked, surprising her.

"Oh my god, Sanjana, its been so long, I wasn't spying on him, I was just......just taking a look, I was wondering if he was fine after all that happened yesterday." Ananya, afraid like anything, stammered and was able to come out with an excuse.

After a while, they both got engaged in deep conversation, during which she revealed she loved Sumit and was indeed spying on him. Sanjana flushed with excitement, and continuously doted her to ask him out, but both knew Sumit was as dense as he looked.

After 2 hours of talking, both Sanjana and Ananya departed ways and called it a night. Sanjana went back to her room and fell asleep. Whereas Ananya, while walking through the dorm, decided to have a look through Sumit's room once again. She looked, and satisfied, headed back to her room.

After reaching her room, switching off the lights, as she was in bed and almost asleep, she saw a man coming near the college mailbox and dropping a letter. She felt it weird as it was very late at night, and what was more disturbing was that the mailbox started giving out blue light, the same light that she saw through the doctor's room in the hospital. Thinking it to be a dream, she went to sleep.

In the early morning, Rakesh gets a message to leave for Australia quickly as he has an important business to attend. Nidhi also had to go since she had a lot of work over there as well. Sanjana decided to stay with Sumit since she felt he might need her assistance at times. But Rakesh and Nidhi knew her real purpose, to find answers along with to keep her brother safe. She took responsibility in her hands.

Sumit came, greeted them, bid them goodbye, and got himself prepared for a regular working day. Later that day, he introduced Sanjana to all his friends, since they knew little about Sumit's family. During this, Harsh seemed to have fallen in love with Sanjana, even though he knew she was 4 years older than him.

Later that day, about 5 PM, Sumit received a mail. To his and Sanjana's horror, it was a blue envelop, with a letter. Both of them read the note together. It read:

Gopala was assassinated at the town bridge on August 13, Friday, 1988, 12:37 PM, minutes before he sent his will to the town council. He was brutally killed by 3 women named Shania, Kanika and Mona. And then his will was burned and his body was dumped in the Galol Lake in Mahabaleshwar. He wants Sumit to avenge his death, and bring him justice.

After reading this ridiculous letter, Sumit and Sanjana ran to the town post office to find out who posted this letter to IIT K campus, only to find the name of the sender Gopala. Seeing this another flash of blue light ran through Sumit. But this time Sanjana was also a victim. Both collapsed in the office and were taken in the nearby nursing home.

In their dream, both Sumit and Sanjana were present, this time, they were in some sort of mountain cliff, from where they could see the vast landscape till infinity. They were enjoying the scenic beauty when all of a sudden they were interrupted by a hazy figure of an old man, covered in a blue aura. He was flying in the air, and he came and stood in front of Sumit and Sanjana. Both encountered this man Gopala in their vision, but this time they saw him at full, and Sanjana being freaked out, Sumit tried to calm his sister. Gopala explained his situation to him, and his misery and begged for vengeance. He explained that according to the legends, a warrior was supposed to be born in the era and he was supposed to protect everyone, and Gopala believed it to be Sumit, hearing which Sanjana gave out a huge laugh, even though she couldn't as the situation was so heated. After all he said, Sumit asked, "Why will we do this for you, who are you?"

And Gopala replied, "I am your grandfather."
