7 INFATUATION

As he stepped outside, he saw sunlight, bright as gold, and it was hotter than usual especially during December, and there were peacocks all around. He went towards Ananya, and both, so lost in the moment, we're about to kiss.

'Your words touch me like nothing I've ever known, Lacing around my heart, Intertwining with my fingers, They are not enough to take your place. But still, They comfort me.'

As they were about to embrace each other, a Red light flashed in Sumit's brain, and he sees Harsh holding him on the verge of falling in the well. "What the fuck are you doing, you were kissing the air, have you gone insane about Ananya's loss?"

"What, but she was right here, wasn't she?"

"Sumit get up, you need rest, all that Gopala and blue eyes have spoiled your nutcracker, get up!!!" Sumit got up and was carried by Harsh back to his room, where a worried Sanjana was looking for Sumit. When Harsh dropped Sumit, he intentionally began flirting with Sanjana in front of him, acting too brave and all, trying to show off his skills and talents to grab her attention. He ended by taking Sanjana's phone number and goes away like a warrior who conquered the world. She was totally enjoying the show put by Harsh.

Sanjana, being a mind reader realized Harsh's naughty fantasy about her, decided to talk to him clearly tomorrow, and went to sleep. She saw Sumit hearing all this nonsense, and went away, embarrassed, and slept soundly after all that.

Sumit went to sleep as well, totally aware Kanika has returned and she was close to dispose him off. And he realized that the echoes he heard in his dream, it was no one other than Kanika. And Gopala, even that's Kanika's doings. Nothing weirder happened that night.

Harsh, as soon as he reached his room, sees his phone lit, a WhatsApp message, by Sanjana.....at 2:30 PM.

Harsh was rather a sensitive chap, always enthusiastic, lively. He is an epitome of a free kid, not bounded by anything. But since the day he saw Sanjana, Sumit's elder sister, he was a Romeo for her. He always had that Oedipus effect, always!

He met Sumit at college, he is the type of guy who loves incest more than he likes himself, he always had that brother-sister fantasy. Even though he never had his own sister, but rumours were he had his first time with his cousin, who was the same age as him. He has such a collection of books which made everyone uncomfortable entering his house.

At 2:30 in the night, he receives a message from Sanjana, it read to meet him in the diamond lake, 2 km from there in an hour. Even though it was from an unknown number, and it was weird for a girl to do this at late night, he put on his tracksuit, took his bike, and hurried to the lake. He arrived there in merely half an hour, exact 3:00 AM.

On his was, Harsh was constantly thinking whether this message was a hoax, or an actual message sent by Sanjana since it was overly weird that a girl would call him this late at night. But since he was lusting her so much during the past few days, his body reacted automatically and as he increased his speed to the destination. He was constantly thinking about what she wanted to tell him so late at night and was getting more excited.

As he reaches the lake, he saw no one at first, then at a distance, he spotted Sanjana, completely naked, swimming in the pool. And as she spotted him, she gestured him to join her. Unable to control the desires and hormones, he stripped and jumped in the lake. As he approached her, the supposedly Sanjana embraced him and started to kiss him. Harsh paused for a moment and asked why she is doing this with him.

All she replied was "I noticed you staring at me, and now I want you more than anything, Harsh." Hearing this they continued with Harsh having the best time of his entire life. As they both were starting to enjoy, suddenly a flash of red ran through Harsh, and in a minute, everything to him was red.



He was conscious of the fact that his life was being sucked out, and before dying, he was able to see the beast, totally terrifying, burnt face, green slimy skin, oil dropping, and with a pair of ugly wings. He realized he was manipulated by the spirit, and also felt the pain which even Ananya felt when she died. The beast grabbed Harsh and disappeared in the bottom of the lake, into nothingness, and even more terrifying, Harsh was dragged alive, in hell!!!!!

Next day was the welcoming ceremony of this Steven. Sanjana had arrived already, Sumit ate breakfast and left in instant. While going, he knocked Harsh's door too, just like always, but this time he wasn't greeted by his usual smile.

"Probably oversleeping, sleep tight bro!!!" saying this Sumit left for the program. Little did he knew that Harsh was missing and was alive in hell!!

Before going to the ceremony Sumit stopped by the accessories store to buy a bouquet of flowers and a bunch of chocolates and headed towards Ananya's grave. While going, he was passed by a limousine, whose driver asked him for the direction of the hall. He assumed it was steven. But then as the limo passed, he heard, "I am back." Thinking he was hearing things, Sumit continued his way.

The limousine entered the college campus, and through the arena, the car stopped right in front of the auditorium. As soon as the guest showed up, the entire girl's army was staring at him. His body, looks, perfect hairs, shiny blue eyes, attracted everyone's attention. Even Sanjana was looking at him, but she felt something was out of shape.

Sumit entered the graveyard and slowly stopped before Ananya's grave.
