4 Home... Sweet home

It was almost night, one could see in the distance how the sun was peeking out on the horizon, almost without seeing it and leaving a layer of orange and pink colors in the sky, the black of the night being seen at the top, and even some of the brightest stars could be seen.

—We are at the swamp now, we are close to Boglachville! Mirtha said excited to show her house to Zenda. Zenda was excited for the last hour of the trip to arrive, she couldn't take any more of the emotion, it was a new feeling for her to be able to have a family outside the orphanage. She was beginning to miss the children and the sisters a little but at the same time she felt that this was a new adventure, that of living in a swamp caused her fear at first, she imagined crocodiles everywhere, and the stories of ghosts and magical creatures. They did not look very attractive to want to live near them, but as the afternoon passed, Zenda realized that more than fear it was great, in her mind she wondered if it would be possible to see any of these creatures or stories that haunted the swamp, she did not believe them at all but deep down he felt that it could be reality, although not necessarily as people say it.

—We arrived! Mirtha says looking at Zenda.

—I know this is new for you but you will see that you will get used to it soon, the people here are very hospitable. They shared a smile with each other and then headed into the small town. —If you want to when we get home we go for a walk in the area, what do you think? —yes! I would love to. —Well, I'm going to show you what each thing are, there isn't much to show but you might want to know. That over there on the right half is the market-restaurant of the place, it works as a restaurant, although they have a section where they sell food and products in general, and also on the other side they have a minimarket which is where I work. —Really! And what things do you sell at the minimarket? —well I sell a lot of things, from magazines and books, to sweets and cigarettes, among other things. —Books! What books do you have? —I have books like Alice in Wonderland, a classic that you must surely know. Around the World in 80 Days, also quite well known or Moby-Dick, among others.

—Wow, I only know the one from Alice in Wonderland but the others seem to be very good. —Definitely one of my favorite books.

Zenda looked around, there were not many houses but the place was magical, although a little dark for what she was used to but it looked like a place taken from a fairy tale, there was a lake surrounded by trees with twisted branches with leaves that reached the water, and one or another pier with at least one boat that resulted, along with the orange and violet of the sky that could be seen among the trees, a beautiful landscape but not for anyone, For zenda it was, however, and she immediately fell in love with the place without knowing how much she loved the marshes, being the first one she knew and thinking in her head if they were all as beautiful as this one.

—Do you see that yellow house over there? That's our house.

"Oh, it's bigger than I thought." Zenda said, telling herself in her mind if something could turn out better than it already was.

At that point, they get out of the car and carry their bags.

Mirtha opens the house and lets zenda pass first, it was an old house but very pretty, it had old decorations everywhere but there was not even a spider's web or dirt on the floor of green and red tiles, it had high and large walls of green color, but of a different shade from the floor, and the ceiling was completely white with corners in curves, something typical of the houses before and that helped, among other things, Because the cobwebs of the spiders that abound in the swamp will not form.

After having seen the house almost in its entirety, they go up the stairs to the second floor, turn left and open the white door that was there.

—look zenda, this is your new room. It was a fairly large room, with the ceiling high like the rest of the house, a navy blue ceiling with stickers of stars shining in the darkness, the walls were a light gray, with some moisture spots on the corners, something that happened very often in the swamp. A bed with famous and white quilts that matched the curtains of the same color of the next window.

When zenda saw this she was thrilled as never before, that room seemed to have been taken out of her idea of a perfect room, the stars, the blue ceiling, the ledges and the wooden desk that was also there, the window with its translucent curtains in the same color as her quilts, everything was incredible to her.

-Leave those things there so we can go for a walk around the place, you'll love it! Mirtha said enthusiastically.

At that moment zenda leaves her things on the bed and sits down to observe the place, she still could not tell that it was real, it seemed a dream come true and tried to make sure that it was not like the case of that burning door that felt very real, she looked everywhere and looked at her hands revealing the mark that lay on her wrist.

—How did you do that?

—What? Zenda says while she is hiding the scar.

—That mark you have in your hand, will you let me see it?

— that was caused by an insect while I was sleeping and then it infected me causing me to stay that big.

—wow, it looks like an exact pattern that sounds to me from somewhere... When did you do it? Whispering a little in silence.

—It happened to me last night while I was sleeping, what does it sound like to you?

Mirtha made an impression and thought in her mind - last night it was full moon which may indicate that... No, she cannot be or be able... I think I've seen this symbol but where from? Mirtha, to simulate her amazement, tells zenda that she is impressed that an insect has caused her such a mark, but that it was a possibility she did not rule out.

Zenda was confused but did not go over the issue any further so she stands up and tells her that she is ready to go around town.

When they go out into the street a man, about 50 years old, interrupts them and tells them.

—hello! My name is marck gould, although I'm often called gold because of my old golden curls that disappeared over time, a long history. I see you are new here! You will love the place, if you want some day to pass by my workshop, I do crafts and sculptures very good, also you could meet my daughter, they could be very good friends, also... "Well, if we've already understood Marck, I was about to show zenda the place because it's her first time here," said Mirtha, a little frustrated that this gentleman spoke so much.

—with that new around here, well the truth is not surprising, not many new people come to the place although it is a swamp quite popular in the area.

—Good to see you Marck, we'll be seeing the place so I'd better say goodbye, otherwise it's getting very late and dark.

—Well, Zenda good to see you here, it's always good to see someone new in old boglachville.

Zenda a little strange returns her taste and keeps walking, did not know that they were so hospitable, it was not a bad thing but a little strange as it seemed as if they knew each other before.

—Well zenda, that big building is the hotel glas, there are several people from the swamp but there are several empty rooms that are only occupied by some tourists who want to experience the "paranormal" of the swamp as much is said outside thanks to the thousands of legends that surround the place and make ita mystical place for some.

—nice hotel although a little... —A little broken? Yes, it's not very neat on the outside, but on the inside it's another world that teleports you to another time.

—I want to know what is like inside! Although of course not now haha.

—Tomorrow we shall see if thou want.

—yes! I would like it very much.

They kept walking, there wasn't much to see other than the houses and gardens of some. -where the pink house is located is a small place where a lady lives who cooks for outside, cooks exquisite and everyone around here buys her. There is a bar there and then the town ends here. —And what's on that road over there? —There is the road to the graveyard , it is not very far but for some reason the founders of Boglachville decided that it is further from the town, it is said that it is so that on full moon nights the spirits will not find Liam anymore the few that were left, since at that time there were only people of the family buried there and they were afraid to see their faces again and remember what happened, clearly the few members that were left were a bit, how to say ... Traumatized by what it is said that it happened. —That doesn't make me want to go. Zenda said a little terrified about that. —They are just fairy tales but I still do not think it is good to go, although it is a quite peaceful place and connected with nature, you are small and the graveyard with the trees in the swamp could scare you, although I better not give more details. — Yes, I don't know maybe another day we'll see it but for now it scares me a bit. Zenda laughed.

Then Mirtha offered to see the village market, to which zenda happily nodded.

Zenda was impressed, despite not being very large the place was quite complete, quite neat and clean, and smelled rich, as a lavender aroma or something like that, thought Zenda though without much sense as she did not have in his head much idea of even how a lavender looked and much less how its smell, just reading it in some aromatic bags of a shelf.

After seeing everything, they approached the mini wooden pier that was a few meters from where they were, it had already fallen into night but the water gave a small glow of brightness around it that looked very picturesque to view, it seemed another world completely different from what Zenda was used to. That view looked beautiful and it made her want to spend several hours just watching the small ripples of water that formed with the summer wind breeze.

—What did you think of the place? —mirtha said smiling.

—I love it, can I spend some more time on the pier?

It's late zenda we have to come back for dinner.

Just a while, please please... —okay, it's your first time here, but not much longer than I have a special dinner to celebrate.

—A special dinner? Zenda said, spilling a noticeably large smile on her face.

—Yes! but it's a surprise.

Zenda, extremely content, watches hypnotized until she hears a noise coming from a little way out in the water.

—what was that?

—It must have been some frog or some branch that slipped into the water.

Zenda tried to look far away if she could see anything but couldn't, it had been heard as something bigger than a simple frog or branch, but she didn't pay much attention and went with her mother straight to her new home to celebrate the day.
