Introduction to the Theme

There was once a child that walked down a certain street at a certain time of the night. Once while minding his business he passed another child walking along the same road. Their eyes met but no more. Both did not stop, continuing in their own direction. The next night at the same particular time both again crossed paths. Only to be repeated for the next few weeks. Every day each waited for the others silent stare on the bridge.

However, this child did not only leave his house at this particular time of the night. And on an average day, he left with his parents to the supermarket. Only to respond to the stare of the same child but now between aisles. He was already in shock only for his parents to introduce him to the other child's parents as they were old friends. Then came the time to be introduced to the other kid.

- "Alexander this is Henry. He is the same age as you. You guys should hang out once in a while. Maybe be as good friends as me and his father" He said awaiting my salutation "go on say hi"

- "hi," I said

- "hi," he answered.

It was done I had spoken to him and there it was revealed that he was but a normal child and not more. Not only that but their unspoken friendship had been broken. The beauty of the friendship that is communicated only through the eye had been destroyed. A beauty that cannot be achieved through words. He was no longer the spirit only shown to him under the blue light of the moon but a human with a life and problems.

Never could he see him under the same blue light of the moon but under the harsh neon yellow lights of the city.
