1 The Transformation

It's been three days since my best friend and I actually became best friends forever. Three days since my life changed forever. On that day my best friend and I became friends for eternity and this is our story.

Last Friday night,

Kaden and Carter went to their first ever high school party. “I don't know if we should go Carter, I was told that the seniors are in some weird blood cult.” he says as Carter was picking out her outfit.”Come on Kaden it’ll be fun plus it’s our first time going to a High School party so it's kinda like our initiation into adulthood”she said Kaden looks at her and smiles she was his best friend their whole lives and from the day they met she was always pushing him beyond his comfort zone making him a better person.”Fair point” he said agreeing as he got up and started to pick out his outfit for the party as Carter started doing her makeup.” I just have a bad feeling about this”he says as Carter continues to do her makeup. She smiles”That's normal” she says as Kaden shrugged and got dressed and soon enough they were at the party.”This place is amazing” he said to Carter as they walked in. Little did they know what they were getting themselves into.As the night went on Kaden and Cater had their fun.But, when the party started to calm down and everyone started to leave the remaining people started to branch off. Kaden and Carter were separated about halfway through the night. Kaden looked at Jace as he breathed. Kaden hadn’t really had a full conversation with him before but, ever since he met Jace in eighth grade he had a crush on him ever since the day they met.He was a junior now. As Jace came closer to Kaden, he stepped back as he saw his eyes flash blood red. Jace stepped closer then bit Kadens neck softly. As the venom sank into Kadens blood Kaden began to feel strength and power flow through his body. Kaden snapped back into reality then pushed Jace off then punched him.He then left the room and walked towards the front door. As he started to walk himself home he started to feel an overwhelming hunger not for food but for something else. He started walking home as the hunger grew stronger every time he passed someone. As he neared his house the street was empty as he walked past someone he snapped and went behind someone and sank his teeth deep inside their neck slowly draining the blood and life out of them.

The following monday kaden woke up gasping for air then sighed in relief”It was just a dream” he said to himself. Carter and Kaden had always wanted to become vampires but, not now not like this. As Kaden started to get ready he got dressed and looked in the mirror “ You can do better” he said to himself as he got changed into a pair of black ripped jeans, a white v neck, his leather jacket and his black combat boots. “ much better” he said as he put on some jewelry. He got his things for school then went outside “ Good morning” he said to Carter as she was waiting “You look great” he says Carter dyed her hair red over the weekend. She smiles’”You too” she says as they drove to school together.That day everyone had changed. The day Kaden was turned was the week after Jace the most popular kid was turned and the same day most of his friends were turned as well. As they walked into the school all eyes were on them.``What is everyone looking at?”he asked Victoria, one of the many people who were turned on that night. “Everyone is looking at you two” she says as they walked down the hallway with confidence and for the first time in their highschool career they were seen. AS they walked to their lockers Kaden saw Kyle, one of their friends running down the hallway to them.” Kaden and Carter I need help with something” he said as they walked down the hallway, his voice and body shaking.``What happened ?”Kaden asked Kyle. “I couldn’t fight them off,” Kyle says as they arrive at a fight. The school bullies James and Charlie were kicking Alex who was on the floor trying to protect his head. “Charlie and James that's enough” he said sternly as they stopped for a second then continued to kick him. Kaden sighed then pulled them both back hard and let Alex get up. “Back off” Kaden said to the boys as he looked at them. As Kaden said that James slowly got up then swung at kaden.Kaden ducked under his arm,then grabbed his arm and flipped James hard on the ground.Kaden looked as Charlie looked at him and just stood there peralized with fear. Kaden looked at Alex to make sure he was ok as James and Charlie got up and Kaden smiled.

Ever since Kaden was a little boy his parents and him knew he was different from all the other kids.His parents always told him the stories about his ancient ancestors and how they were different like him. But, Kaden nearly never listened until one day his parents told him about one of his ancestors who really stood out to him. They called him Morpheus,one of the people who were involved in the Salem Witch Trials. But, during the Witch Trials the town of Salem called him”Hell’s Ring Master” because they believed he was sent from hell to do the devil's bidding.People believed this because everyone in the ratchet town of Salem knew he was gifted and that he used his gifts to cast a spell over the people of Salem that made everyone know he was a warlock but that they were incapable of hurting him. Their family's magic was hereditary but only one person was gifted with powers like Morpheus. However every other generation of his family tree was gifted with normal powers. But, Kaden like Morpheus was gifted with normal spell casting along with being gifted with the ability to control nature and manipulate earth's vibrations.

Kaden looked at the other boys as they got up and charged towards him.KAden flinched putting his hands up as something powerful was released from his hands and it sent Charlie and James flying hard against the wall.Kaden smiles as they scurried off, but kaden walked away fast in the opposite direction not know how he did that.As he saw Carter he started walking to her and caught her up on what just happened.She smiles and looked at him”That’s kinda badass”she says. Kaden giggles nervously”That's true, but what if next time I use the I hurt someone badly?” he asked her. She smiles at him” Let's make sure there is not a next time. Meet me in Firecross forest after school,we are going to figure out how to control your powers “she says “I’ll do some research on my off period”she tells him as kaden nods ``Thank you,what would I do without you?”he asked her. She smiles slightly “Probably die again” she says as they both laugh.As the day quickly came to an end Kaden got his stuff from his locker and started walking to the forest where Carter would help him learn to control his powers. As he walked deeper into the woods he heard Carter and sped over to her using his vampire speed. “ Ready”she asked Kaden and Kaden nodded. “So what were you feeling when you first used these new powers?”She asked him as she had done her research and found the controlling powers and vampire urges are all emotionally based” I was mad at them and scared they were gonna hurt me”Kaden said to her. She nods '' alright I need you to Channel your darkest memory in your life and use it to break this tree”she says moving over to him. Kaden nodded as he started thinking of everything that had been happening the past couple of days he breathes as he started to tear up he screams and used his powers to shatter almost half of the forests trees'' that's a start”she says '' maybe try thing about one moment so that you can do more concentrated waves”she said and he nodded thinking about the moment jace bit him. He used his shockwaves concentrating it onto a rock and shattered the rock” that was awesome “she says “ Also my research showed that because of your family tree you are the one has the same powers as Morpheus “she says and Kaden nods “ so that means I’m a vampire and a witch”he says to himself. Carter nodded “so technically you’re a hybrid”she says

The next day, Kaden woke up thinking about the word that Carter called him a hybrid. That was weird but cool to him at the same time but he knew it wasn't going to be easy none of it was. Carter waited for Kaden outside then Kaden walked outside and got in the car”what’s wrong?”He asked her”I’m Moving”she says in tears
