14 14. Be Preyed Upon

"Take your weapons! Kill them!" Arseni ordered his guards.

They immediately took out their weapons, preparing to fire bullets at the werewolves who had begun to surround them. Even though the guns were already in hand, it was clear that their eyes were filled with fear.

Arseni did not think that he would meet a werewolf. Because all this time, he had never believed in people talking about the existence of werewolves.

He also took out a firearm, and then he aimed the gun forward. Arseni tried not to be afraid, but his hands began to tremble.

A gunshot was heard, Arseni's bodyguard fired his gun right at the werewolf's body. However, the werewolf did not die. The werewolves started attacking them heartlessly.

All of Arseni's guards fired their weapons at the werewolves. They were even more desperate because none of the werewolves had died.

They did not know if the weaknesses of werewolves were bullets or sharp objects made of silver. No matter how many shots they shoot at the werewolves, it will not kill them.

The snow slowly started to fall, and the cold air began to make them tremble even more. Blood dripped on the snowflakes that had covered the ground.

The screams of death began to be heard when Arseni's bodyguards began to be killed. Their bodies were torn apart. Not a single one of their bodies was intact.

Arseni ran with all his might into the forest, hoping to arrive at Sergei's castle. He didn't care about the bodyguards who were being eaten so viciously.

He didn't realize that one of the werewolves had started chasing him. The werewolf grinned. He wanted to play with the scared-looking human.

There was a howl that made Arseni even more scared. He tried to run with the strength he had at this time.

"You go ...," shouted Arseni while firing bullets at the werewolves who had begun to approach him.

The werewolf howled again, which indicated that he would start a game with the human in front of him. He attacked Arseni, and fresh blood started flowing from his scratched arm.

The weapon in his hand just slipped off when the werewolf's claw hit him. He held his arm, which a werewolf claw had wounded. What Arseni has in mind right now is running up to Sergei castle.

Arseni's blood droplets fell on the snow, which made it difficult for him to run. The cold started to make him feel freezing, but he didn't want to die and kept trying to run towards Sergei's castle.

The werewolf had had enough fun, and he started running fast. He didn't let his prey getaway. The werewolf howled again to signal his target that he was continuing to chase it.

Arseni has started to weaken, and his strength has run out. He was no longer able to run in the middle of the snowy forest. The wound on his hand continued to bleed, even though he had tied it with his scarf.

He leaned against the big tree and was out of breath. The chill had frozen his body. Arseni saw the werewolf getting closer.

The werewolf was so creepy, and he was like a monster with thick fur. So that it can protect itself from the cold and snow, which they look like at night.

However, no one knew their form during that whole moon night was more sinister than monsters. With two horns, protruding ears, thinning hair. With very pointed and sharp nails.

"You monsters ...," Arseni said in a low voice.

The werewolf grinned, showing his sharp teeth. He stood up and offered his tapered fingernails and then attacked Arseni.

He tore Arseni's body, and there was a heartbreaking scream of death. The werewolves didn't kill their prey just yet because they want to hear the cries of death that make them satisfied.

Fresh blood started to drip on the white snow, and the werewolf began to eat every flesh of its prey, although Arseni still had a weak breath. He doesn't care if the target is still alive. The most important thing is that tonight he can fill his stomach.

Edik and Ivan had just arrived at the castle, and he immediately walked to Sergei's room to report that did all his work. However, he did not find his lord's whereabouts.

"He's not in the castle," Ivan said to Edik.

Edik nodded. He closed the door again and walked towards the room where the vampires enjoyed a glass of blood that made them feel full.

"Some stupid humans walking in the forest, looks like their luck ran out and was chased by werewolves." The answer.

Ivan thought that the stupid human would be Arseni Monov because he knows what kind of human nature doesn't accept his business's destruction and goes to this forest to meet Sergei.

"Do you know who they are, Ivan?" Edik asked Ivan because Ivan has strong instincts.

"Arseni Monov ...," he replied.

Edik's gaze fixed on a vampire woman who had just arrived in the room. The vampire woman is none other than Laika.

"Laika ...," Ivan said when he saw Laika.

"How is your job?" Edik asked Laika.

"I haven't found it yet," She replied as she took a glass of blood that was on the tray.

Ivan told Laika to keep looking for her because the lord wanted Igor Kraynov's existence. It has been hundreds of years for the lord to search for the werewolf.

"Even without you saying I will continue to look for it," said Laika, then walked away, leaving Ivan and Edik.

Laika and Sergei want to find a rotten werewolf named Igor Kraynov because Laika grudge that she wants to get revenge on the werewolves.

Laika walked to the garden, and she remembered the cruelty of Igor Kraynov again. The werewolves had killed his entire family and had eaten them very cruelly.

"Even to the end of the world and it will take hundreds of times. I Laika will continue to hunt you down, Igor Kraynov!" Laika retorted while shattering the glass in her hand.

"Plant it in your heart and mind," said Sergei as he walked closer to Laika.

Laika bowed and saluted, then said, "Yes, my lord. I will put it in my heart and mind. "

Sergei told Laika to stand up, and he gave her a new assignment because he got information about Igor Kraynov's whereabouts.

"Where's the werewolf?" asked Laika.
