In his deep sleep, Brett Youngshaper went through his past life as a werewolf in a flurry of images.

He remembered the time when he was a child.

His parents moved from North America to England and brought him along.

Having been born and raised in a pack full of other pups to play with, little Brett was initially very unhappy.

His adventurous parents had taken him away from his friends and made him adapt to a foreign environment with no one to depend on.

The little werewolf family lived without a pack, mingling with human beings and vampires alike in Dominion while taking their places in society as part of the workforce.

Little Brett was used to attending school with human children who knew of his identity as a werewolf.

The first time Brett met Zane was at Dominion Central University. To be exact, it was the third day of his freshman year. That semester, they both took the same course -- Math For Chemists I.
