Fight Or Die

Alice looked at Aliyah who was standing in front of her, Elena, Trisha and Elgin. Aliyah said, "Gongamtei is a brutal and sadistic assassin and he will not think for a moment before killing any of you. So, Elgin will stay with Trisha and Elena all the time and will provide stealth to them. I will stay with Alice and provide vision to you people. Remember one thing, that he is not your friend Ryder but just his body and we have to burn the body in order to weaken Gongamtei and finish him." Elena and Trisha looked at each other and sighed. Elgin said, "Gongamtei won't be alone. His army of undead zombies must be with him." Alice asked, "But, didn't I burned them all?" Elgin smiled, "There are lots of graveyards, my dear. Gongamtei has the power to wake up dead. So, don't be scared when some skeleton with rotting flesh comes running towards you with weapons." Trisha said, "What did I got myself into? Can't we abort the mission?" All looked at her and Alice said, "It's more than saving my mother. It is about destroying that monster who is terrorizing the people and is hurting our friend." Elena said angrily, "I am going to trash that Gongamtei and show him the power of a woman."

Aliyah sighed, "That's what I'm trying to warn you people about. These unnecessary adrenaline won't help you fight him. He is far more powerful than you and you have to accept that. We have to pounce on him when he is at his weakest." Alice asked, "Why can't we use the spear and trap him like your ancestor did earlier?" Aliyah smiled, "Simple. The powerful your mind is, the more powerful your strike will be. You currently don't possess enough power to trap his dark power and also we don't have a holy scroll either." Elgin said, "We better hurry. We still have to know where did he kept your mother?" Alice said, "We should start our search from Ryder's house." Elgin asked, "Isn't it too obvious?" Aliyah smiled, "Actually that's a brilliant idea. He knows that we cannot fight him anyway, so hiding from us might be not his plan." Elgin asked, "But if he is waiting for us, then won't be going there be suicidal?" Aliyah looked at Elena and Trisha and said, "This is the part where someone has to become the bait." Trisha asked, "But, why only us?" Aliyah replied, "Because Gongamtei don't recognize you two and it will be easy for us to distract him." Elgin said, "Don't worry, I will be with you." All went inside the energy ball and appeared in front of Ryder's house.

Alice looked at Aliyah and said, "The house looks very deserted and normal." Aliyah said, "Hush. Listen to the sound of hustling in the house. Looks like someone is there." Aliyah and Alice hid behind the bush and Elena and Trisha went inside the house with Elgin who has transformed himself into a bird. Elena looked around and said, "I see two bodies moving here and there. I think we should alert Alice." Elgin flew a little farther and said, "They aren't Ryder and Alice's mother, but two men." Trisha said scared, "Must be thieves. An empty house is thief's favorite place to steal." Elgin flapped his wings hard and a strong wave of air threw the two men out of the house, breaking the glass window. As soon as they tumbled on the ground, Alice and Aliyah jumped on them and started beating them. But, one of the thief managed to escape and kicked her in the stomach.

The other thief said, "What the fuck do you think you are doing, you crazy girl?" Alice said, "I should ask the question." The thief pushed her and said, "We are from the press. We came here to find clues and news topics regarding the Church incident." Alice rose and said, "You shouldn't barge into someone's house like thieves. You press people have no decency." The man said, "Oh, really? Who would have opened the door of an empty house for us? We were just doing our job." Elena and Trisha came out of the house and looked at the two men who were standing there with dirty clothes. Elena asked, "Why were you stealing from a dead man's house? Don't you have any shame?" Trisha said angrily, "Let's hand them to the police." The man said, "I'm not a thief, I was just investigating the house for any clues." Alice asked, "Which news channel do you represent?" The man said, "New World Channel. Pretty much new, so you might not have heard of it. My name is Ralph and he is my friend, Philips. We are assigned to cover on the Church incident and we were just searching for any information." Philips looked at Alice and asked, "What are you doing here?" Alice asked, "Do I know you?" Philips smiled, "No, but everyone knows about you. Actually, you people have become quite famous after the Church incident." Alice said, "We just came to look for our friend who you know isn't very good nowadays." Ralph asked, "What do you know of the incident?" Elena said, "We are not in the mood of answering any questions. We already have much on our plates." Philips smiled, "So, do we. So, why don't we help each other in lessening the weight of the plate?"

Alice smiled, "Okay, ask what you wanna ask." Philips took out a pen and a note and asked, "Why do you think Ryder turned into something like this? Is it some ungodly force or he is just acting?" Alice said grimly, "We are also trying to find the answer too. Things that are outside of human's cognitive abilities have always raise anarchy among them. This case is no different. I just request to all the people to faith in their deities and try not to come to unworthy conclusions or try to bring any external angles in the incident." Elena pinched her and whispered, "Let's go. We have more important things than answering questions." Alice said, "I'm extremely regretful but I have to go as some personal calamities have started to encircle my life." Elgin chanted a spell and suddenly lots of clouds started encircling all of them as they slowly disappeared. After sometime when the clouds disappeared, Ralph looked at Phantom and raised his eyebrows. Phantom smiled, "Rachel taught her good manners and sense of righteousness even in tight times." Ralph said, "You are looking at her manners? She literally threw me to the ground. From where did she got such enormous power?" Phantom pouted his lips and said, "I know what you are trying to say and I hope you are wrong." Ralph asked, "What if it right?" Phantom sighed, "I don't even want to think of it."

Ralph chuckled, "And people they say that demons have no heart." Phantom smiled, "And that it true. Most of us don't have a heart." Ralph smiled, "Poetic as always." Phantom asked, "She was talking about some personal calamities, wasn't she?" Ralph said, "We should focus on finding the spear. The less time you spend with her, the more safer she will be." Phantom said with deeply, "I don't know why but my intuition says that our paths leads to the same destination." Ralph said, "Okay, if you think so." They went inside their car and rode towards the city.

Aliyah sighed, "Where can that scum keep your mother?" Alice replied, "There are lots of empty warehouses in this city. He must have kept her in some warehouse." Elgin said grimly, "That will take time. There are almost fifty factories in this city of which almost thirty are old and abandoned. It will take almost dawn and we can't risk one more day." Trisha said, "I think we should do something that will attract Gongamtei to us." Alice hugged her and said, "For the first time in your life, you have talked sensible." Trisha gave a weak smile. Aliyah said, "Though it sounds good, it will draw a lot of attention." Alice said, "We have to take the risk." Aliyah looked at Elgin and said, "Give me the flame scroll." Elgin asked, "Are you sure? It may not be the appropriate time to use it."

Aliyah said, "This is not an appropriate time to think about appropriate times." Elgin gave her an orange scroll and she started chanting some mantra, "Hasta la eglas to me jaya." An orange flame erupted from the sky and started accumulating in her hands and she pushed the flame in the sky and a huge heat wave flew all over the city. Though, the heat was far more warm for a human to bear, but it was so fast that everyone felt that like someone threw hot water on them. Gongamtei felt the heat too and looked at the sky. He smiled, "So, finally we meet." He flew up in the sky and stood before Alice, Elena and Trisha. He smiled, "You mortals don't value time, I have been waiting for two days. But, I have to say that I really enjoyed the time with the lady. She will have difficulty walking for some days." Alice fumed in anger and jumped towards him, but the wall of the ball stopped her. Gongamtei smiled, "A traveling sphere. Do you think you will be safe in it? Let's test." He punched on the wall of the sphere and the whole sphere started to tremble. Alice said, "This guy is way too much powerful." Aliyah said, "We have to take him somewhere where we can fight him." They turned and moved towards the mountains. Gongamtei smiled, "Why are you running now?" Aliyah stopped the ball deep inside the forest and said, "Scatter around. We shouldn't be spotted in one place at a time."

All scattered and started running here and there. Gongamtei landed on the forest ground and started looking for them. He took out his sword and started cutting the fog and soon most of the fog vanished and Trisha came in her sight. Gongamtei smiled, "You know this guy, whatever his name was loved you so much that every fragment of his mind is filled with a memory of yours. But, in the last moments of his worthless life, I saw intense hate and anger. A vulnerability that I readily exploited." He took out his sword and was about to slay her, when a spear stopped his sword. Gongamtei looked at the spear and Alice kicked him on the stomach. Gongamtei moved a little far, but didn't fall. He said, "The spear. The bloody spear. It has always defeated me, but today the victory will be mine." Alice said, "No, monster. Today, today will be the day your evil shadow will be eliminated." Gongamtei smiled and waved his sword towards her. She dodged the attack and swinged the spear at Gongamtei, but easily caught her and threw her on the ground. Alice rolled and looked at Elgin who transformed into a rhino and sprinted towards Gongamtei, who easily pushed him away and kicked him on his mouth. Elena and Trisha looked at each other and Elena threw a stone on Gongamtei's head. Gongamtei looked at their direction furiously and started running towards them. Alice took the chance and threw the spear towards Gongamtei which fortunately impaled his leg and Elgin impaled his other leg with his horn. Gongamtei fell on the ground and started laughing, "Fools. Certified fools you are. Do you think it will stop me?" He slowly exited Ryder's body and appeared in his ghost form. He waved his hand and a large army of undead zombies emerged from the ground. Dead insects, birds and some small animals, all surrounded them and started coming towards them. Gongamtei smiled, "Now."

All the creatures jumped on them and started biting them. Aliyah came out of Alice's body and said, "We have to take Ryder's body somewhere far before Gongamtei snatches it again." Elgin created a blue sphere and started running towards Ryder's dead body. Gongamtei appeared before him and punched him on the chin. He laughed, "You cannot distract an assassin like me so easily." He took the spear thrusted in Ryder's leg and said, "Finally. Now, no can stop me from making you my slave." Gongamtei started pulling the red stone on the tip of the spear and louds lightening started to crash it the sky. Aliyah cried, "We have to stop him. Alice, you are our only hope. Gather all your willpower and attack Gongamtei with it." Alice said, "But, I can't. I'm not well trained." Aliyah said, "You don't have to be. This is something that you born with." Alice closed her eyes and slowly folded her hands and pushed the air towards Gongamtei, but she couldn't produce enough power." Aliyah cried, "I know you can do it. Think about your mother, your friends and about the future of all the people on the Earth." Alice put all her willpower in her hands and screamed, "I WILL DESTROY YOU!!"

A large wave of red energy flew from her hand and Aliyah and Elgin combined their power with it and a powerful wave hitted Gongamtei who fell a mile away, breaking trees. He said scared, "It can't be possible. A mortal cannot defeat me." Alice called the spear and it came in her and Alice threw the spear at Gongamtei, who had plain fear in her eyes. The spear went straight through his throat and he fell on the ground. He looked at Alice and said, "The battle is not over. I will return." He turned into ashes and slowly disappeared in red mist.

As soon as Gongamtei disappeared, the army of undead creatures slowly fade away. Elena ran towards Ryder's body and hugged it and started sobbing. Trisha fell on her knees and looked at Ryder's dead body, which was slowly rotting. The words of Gongamtei were still circling around in her head and she could now clearly see and feel Ryder's pain. She started crying too. Aliyah and Elgin went towards Alice who was breathing heavily as the attack has drained half of her energy. Aliyah said, "Don't worry. You did great today. Defeating a demon like Gongamtei is a big achievement." Alice asked weakly, "Is he dead now?" Aliyah said grimly, "I'm afraid, not. He will return someday again, but that time he won't be as powerful as now as you have injured him critically." Alice looked at Elena and Trisha and said, "We have to burn Ryder's body." Aliyah said grimly, "I know it's hard for you, but I have to tell you that a lot more pain will come in your life and you should be able to withstand it." Alice went towards Elena and Trisha and said, "We have to burn Ryder's body before it gets too late." Elena and Trisha slowly moved away from the body as Elgin chanted a spell and Ryder's body lit up in flames. Aliyah took them inside her energy ball and slowly disappeared.

Rachel slowly woke up and saw that there was nobody in the dark room. She cried for help but no one listened. She slowly opened the door and peeped outside and saw that she was on a cargo ship, sailing in the South Pacific Ocean. She could heard a familiar voice saying, "We have to transport these containers before dawn to Peru. Mr. Watwell said that the local police isn't very cooperative in these matters." The other man said, "But, Mr. Lloyd. Robin and Robert have spoken with the Underworld and they say we should land our containers in Argentina." Mr. Lloyd slapped him and said, "We are not going to Robin and Robert. We will sell these young ladies and kids to their rival, Mr. Lee. He is offering as a much luxurious offer of worth thirty billion dollars." The man asked, "What if Robin and Robert get to know about this?" Mr. Lloyd smiled, "Mr. Lee will handle that matter." Rachel, understanding her situation decided to crawl back into the darkest corner and closed her eyes as the ship slowly moved towards Peru.....
