6 CHAPTER 5

*In the room*

The old man looked at the boy and his eyes were wet, with tears threatening to come out. If anyone in Azael saw him like this they would be shocked to death cuz the man who was so emotional now didn't bat an eye when he slaughtered an empire leaving everyone there to rot. The boy still confused asked, "Who are you?".

The old man felt something hit his chest he felt some pain in the chest he was somewhat hopeful that his grandson would recognize him but alas he was too little back when they met, he cleared his throat and said in a soft voice "Ariel, I am your grandfather ".

Ronin tried to search Ariel's memory for this old man to see if he could find something and he then recalled that this old man was the King of demons and the boy's grandfather. Ronin was still feeling exhausted due to the boy's injuries and he wanted to figure some things so he said weakly "grandfather I'd like to rest", when the old man heard it, he was ecstatic he replied hastily "Ok, I would meet you tomorrow. Now you take a good rest. Don't worry about anything, because your grandfather will never let you get hurt, NEVER".

The boy nodded, the old man got up took a good look at him and left the room. As he came out of the room, he saw the knight standing there, He ordered "If you see anyone suspicious or anyone doing something suspicious ELIMINATE them, no need to notify me" the knight replied, "Yes your majesty".

After he left Ronin started assessing the situation 'The bastard of a master sent me here without any explanation, damm him'. As he recalled the memories of the child, he did feel bad for him 'he was the same as me the people whom we trusted betrayed us, our mothers died and as for father well f**k them' thought Ronin.

After coming to terms with his reality Ronin thought to himself 'It's not like I can't live on my own, if I escape from here I can survive but with this weak body I will die in no time, even if I have the best cultivation manuals from this boys memories, one fact is clear that in this world if you need to survive, you need strength and that's what I don't have right now ' he knew that if he were to leave today he would be thrown in an unknown world with unknown dangers, and then there is the old man, he helped him and from his eyes, he could feel the love and care for the boy 'but that's for Ariel, not me, I'm an intruder, I don't deserve his love', his mind was a mess right now, then he remembered a piece of advice his master gave him.

He said "Remember boy, every person has a path in life, some follow other's path' while some make their own but as long as you have faith in your path, it will never go wrong, so whether you choose to folly someone's path or make your own path as long as you chose never stop believing in it you will succeed, because if one stops believing in the path they chose, most of the time they end up in a pit which means DEAD", then he contemplated what he wanted to do leave or stay.

After a lot of thinking, Ronin said to himself 'From today My name is Ariel and I will live in place of you little guy and I will resolve both of ours regrets' as he said this to himself he felt a weight lifted from his chest.

Now all he wanted to do was become strong, so he started to think what to do next, according to Ariel's memory this planet was inhabited by many races but notable among them were Humans, Demons, Elfs, Beastkin, Orcs and Goblins. This continent was called Star continent with the northern side was occupied by humans, eastern by Demons, western shared by orcs and southern by beast kin. The central part of the continent was covered in Large forest Area Somewhere there on the outer edge of the Eastern side resided the Elfs and the central part was run over by Divine beasts.

The Humans Had the Largest population and The Northern part of the continent was shared by the 4 Holy Emperors, Elfs were allied with the demons, beastkin stayed alone and as for orcs and goblins they were allied with goblins.

Star continent was one of the main Powers of this world, it was ranked in the top 3, the other top powers were the Supreme Institute and Moon continent. The Moon continent was similarly occupied with different races but Supreme Institute was the place where every big power sent their younger generation to study after they turned 16.

Ariel was a genius in cultivation but he never truly revealed his talents, at the age of 8 he was at the peak of the 5th layer of true body realm. After feeling the power in his body he thought 'how weak', so tonight he wanted to build a solid foundation for his future. So he opened his soul space and took out 2 pills his master gave him, one was a True pill which will destroy the cultivation of the boy but will enhance all the aspects of his body and will serve as a solid foundation for him boosting his natural talents, as he took the pill, he felt the Qi in his body vanish like it was never there and an extreme pain assaulted him, but he ignored the pain and quickly took the Astral pill which contained qi, a lot of qi. If someone consumed an astral pill right after consuming True pill, it was a plain suicide as the body will explode due to excess qi but Ariel's(RONIN's) master taught him a technique to handle excess qi.

As soon as he consumed the pill he felt his body was filled with a ridiculous amount of Qi, his body started burning up but he quickly put the technique to use and started cultivating. he felt himself advancing through the 1st level of Qi layer then 2nd and so on till 9th and soon he broke through to True body layer. But it did not stop there, he finally came to a stop at peak of 2nd layer of the star mortal realm.

'Whew, that was easy' thought Ariel but he knew it will not be easy from now on, he then realized that it was still midnight so he went to sleep.

*Next day*

Ariel woke up, he then looked around for a bit and then got out of the bed. He then went towards the gate, before he could open it he heard a voice "Good morning young master" Ariel was startled but he calmed himself and turned around, he saw the Knight who was standing with his grandfather yesterday. He replied "Good morning-" the Knight cut him and said "Robin, you can call me Robin" to which he nodded in confirmation.

Robin said "We have an audience with the demon king soon. He will announce your coronation as the crown prince of Azael, so you should get ready" and then he disappeared but soon reappeared, but this time with 2 beautiful women in maid's clothing and said, "They will help you bathe and get ready". Although he had his fair share of experience with women in the past, he still felt shy as getting a hardon as an 8-year-old would be awkward. He hurriedly said, "No need, just ask them to help me wear the clothes".

Robin laughed a bit and said, "Ok, now go and get ready. I'll be waiting outside".

*After some time*

Robin and Ariel were walking in the hallways, Robin was wearing a Red and Black armor but the usual aura of death was missing and Ariel was wearing a black overcoat and with a sword on his waist, he could not be called a handsome man as he was just 8 years old but could be called an extremely cute child. if not for his expressionless face everyone who sees him would want to pinch his cheeks.

Ariel asked "Uncle Robin won't the nobles be opposed to seeing a halfbreed like me as their crown prince" Ronin looked at him, smiled, and said, "I'll persuade them so don't worry".

Soon they reached a big gate where knights clad in black stood guard, and as they entered, Ariel could see various people in luxurious clothing standing in the huge hall facing his grandfather, who was sitting on a throne. His grandfather looked at them as if sensing their arrival and he smiled at Robin and said "thank you", Robin got down on his knee and said "It's my duty, Your majesty". He then can ed Ariel to come and stand beside his throne.

The nobles also saw Ariel, some were giving him cold looks, some were smiling while others were indifferent. Ariel's grandfather stood up from his throne.

He said "Today, I have called all of you here to announce something, which will be important to the future of everyone here as well as for the demon's" he turned to a man and said "announce it" and then he sat down, as he sat a scholarly looking man came forward and announced "BY THE BLESSINGS OF THE DEMON GOD, FROM TODAY ONWARDS HIS MAJESTY ARIEL, GRANDSON OF THE GREAT DEMON KING KRETOS WILL BE THE CROWN PRINCE OF AZAEL AND THE FUTURE KING OF DEMONS" as soon as he said that some people among the nobles were startled while others were chatting in quiet voices as if they already knew this, but it all stopped as the Demon king once again stood up.

He said "Now that the announcement is done" he paused for a bit released his powerful aura and said "any objections".

As soon as he said that some nobles yelled "WE OBJECT-"
