14 CHAPTER 13

After the incident with the bandits, Ariel and his Guards did not encounter anything special on their way to The Elf kingdom, so he had to spend the next few weeks by cultivating and occasionally hunting beasts.

Silias was also observing the Crown prince and was honestly a bit frightened and happy, happy because their future king was already this powerful and frightened because he was too indifferent about killing in general, Silias even felt that he enjoyed killing like second nature to him. *After 2 weeks*

Ariel had Arrived in the capital of the Elf Kingdom, The Royal village.

As soon as he arrived the first thing he observed was that all the elves were extremely beautiful, women had an extremely seductive figure and a charming face while men looked handsome.

All of them could become huge stars if they were on earth, soon servants came to inform that he could rest for a few minutes and after that, he would attend the Family banquet.

Ariel preferred to explore the village as it was totally different from what he imagined, instead of stone houses the Elves preferred living in trees that were modified from inside. The entire Village looked so natural and beautiful that even Ariel was excited after seeing it for the first time.

*Knock-Knock*

A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts

"Come in"

The door opened and revealed a middle-aged woman she came inside and said respectfully "I came here to guide the prince to the dining hall", Ariel nodded and got up from his chair and said, "Lead the way".

Ariel followed her to the dining hall, after arriving there the woman turned to him and said: "His majesty is waiting for you inside".

Ariel replied with a "Hmm" and went inside. He saw a handsome middle-aged man seated on what looked like a throne made of tree branches. After he reached the middle of the hall he stopped and said politely "Greetings your majesty, My name is Ariel".

The man on the throne did not reply he simply looked at him and suddenly his eyes turned cold and he released his aura.

Ariel was dumbfounded 'Wha-' he didn't know why he attacked him suddenly. The Aura was too powerful and Ariel knew that the man in front of him was at least on the level of his uncle, He could not endure the pressure for long and his knees started to bend.

Ariel's eyes went cold, though he did not say it he swore in his mind that he will end this guy in the future and the death will not be painless.

The man looked in his eyes and laughed "Whoa there, you should not show your emotions on your face too easily. If it was someone else he might have killed you by now" as he said this the pressure around Ariel disappeared.

Ariel sighed in relief, He asked softly with a hint of coldness "Why did your majesty attack me just now".

The man replied "I simply wanted to test you.", Ariel asked, "May I know why you wanted to test me".

The man simply said "Your grandfather did not send you here for an escort mission, he sent you here for the inheritance of a supreme level cultivator. That's why I needed to test you, If you simply kneeled without any resistance I would've made you return to Azael. But now you can try your luck with the inheritance".

Ariel understood everything now 'So this is why grandfather sent me here', he was confused when his grandfather asked him fir this. now he understood the reason.

"I apologize for behaving rudely"

"It's not a problem, besides you can call me Uncle Steyn"

"Alright Uncle Steyn"

"Now, complicated things aside. You just came to the Royal village right, so you can explore it and have fun for the next few days until we prepare for the inheritance test"

Ariel nodded and said "Alright, But I don't know my way around here. So can uncle help me by arranging a guide"

Steyn laughed and said "Don't worry you will meet your guide tomorrow, Now let's have dinner"

After that, both of them went to the dining hall and sat on a table filled with different kinds of dishes. Ariel and Steyn had a casual talk amongst themselves, Ariel asked many questions and Steyn answered all of them. After the dinner, Ariel said goodbye to Steyn and was escorted back to his room.

*somewhere in the royal village*

Two men were in a room one was an old man in green clothing and the other was Steyn. The old man sat on a chair while Steyn was standing to his side respectfully

"So how was your impression of the boy"

"Pretty good, He has a strong willpower. Besides based on his age and his cultivating level the boy is an absolute genius"

"Ha ha ha ha, That old bastard was right. His grandson is truly special, well this solves our worries"

"fa-"

"By the way how is the plan going"

Steyn sighed and said "It's going alright, but don't you think it's unfair for little Rose"

The old man rebuked him harshly and said "Shut up, I know what I am doing. If things go wrong we can always cancel the engagement"

Steyn did not dare Question him again and said "Sure I will keep that in mind father "

*In the morning*

Ariel did not know why but he was feeling very excited today. he thought of a reason and suddenly realized that after coming to this world he did not explore much of this world, not even Azael, due to his training, and today he had a chance to go around and experience the culture of Elfs.

'Yes that must be the case' he thought.

Although most of the time he acted cold and aloof but deep inside due to his soul merging with the child's soul he somehow retained some of the boy's traits. he just has not realized this yet .

Ariel hurriedly got ready and waited for the guide to arrive.

An hour passed but the guide still did not arrive, just as he was about to get up and ask about the guide, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in"

The door slowly opened, as it was halfway opened a small figure came in.

"Ummmm, He-he-Hello, Big brother my name is Rose. Father sent me to take you around the city"
