48 Uncertainty

Fearful, anxious and drenched in her sweat, Dahila sat up in bed, completely puzzle and a bit in shock of the terror she was just out through. "What the hell was that?!" Dahlia gasped out.

Before she could get out of bed, a loud bang startles her once again as Jackson comes crashing through her bedroom door. "Luna!" he shouts, tripping over the mangled door. Without an ounce of grace, Jackson face plants in front of Dahlia's bed. Dahlia couldn't help but chuckle at his shenanigans.

"Ah Jackson, you okay?" Dahlia tries to ask through laughs, trying to empathize with his misfortune. Jackson, hurried to his feet to try and seem professional once again. "Yes Luna!" he nearly shouts. Dahlia simply stared at him, waiting for him to explain himself.

"Right! I'm sure you're wondering why I came rushing in. Well, you see, I was sleeping and you scream through mindlink. It scared the crap out of me. You didn't answer any of my mindlinks to see if you were okay, so I came rushing in" Jackson said with concern. All Dahila could do was sit there quietly. "You could hear my scream?" Dahlia asked. Jackson looked confused. "Yes, it was clear as day" Jackson insisted.

Dahlia had many emotions wash over her face; fear, concern, curiosity before she spoke again. "I was stuck in a terrible nightmare. It felt so real. I wouldn't of been able to tell the difference, if the images didn't keep changing. Sequence after sequence, I kept falling into darker and darker despair" Dahila said as a cheek left her face. Jackson, stood before his Luna, not only concerned by confused. "So, what do you do now?" Jackson asked. Dahlia looked at him with determination before she replied. "I have to go seek the answers to the riddles" Dahlia said. "I have to go see Amelia right away" Dahlia said once more.

Dahlia rushed to her feet, grabbed her shoes, jumped over the broken door and rushed out of her room, leaving Jackson standing in the same spot. A few seconds went by before she ran out behind her. "Dahlia wait! I'll go with you, you shouldn't be alone right now" Jackson shouted as he tried to catch up. Dahlia simply continue her pursuit of Amelia. "Can you at least tell me what happened?!" Jackson pleaded.

Dahlia let out a growl. It wasn't a growl that she was displeased with Jackson making demands of her. she'd rather not relive the whole ordeal again. "Okay. I'll tell you but we must hurry to Amelia, I don't want to forget anything!" Dahlia snapped. "Understood" Jackson replied. As the duo made their way to Amelia's home, Dahlia, step by step told her dream, without missing a detail to Jackson. "What?!" Jackson said as he grabbed his Lunas arm to make her stop running.

Jackson wasn't thinking and his simple action, worked against him this time. Dahlia grabbed Jackson by the arm and tossed him to his back. "Don't ever do that again Jackson! I'm already on edge!" Dahlia said with tears streaming down her face. "I'm...I'm sorry Luna, I was just trying to be a supportive friend" as Jackson struggled to gain back his oxygen. "I know...I know! Dahlia replied back. "I have to get to Amelia and see what it could mean. I need to be prepared" Dahlia said through a sob. Jackson could tell his Luna was extremely distraught. "Come here" Jackson said as he gave his friend a huge. "It will be okay, we will find the answers" Jackson said reassuringly.

"You're right. I'm sorry I'm so crazy right now" Dahlia stated. Jackson broke the tension with a laugh. "Oh come on, we've definitely been through worst" Jackson said with a smile. Dahlia smiled back as she wiped her last tear from her eye. The two walked the rest of the way to see Amelia. A lot of Dahlia's worries, were lessened with the presence of her royal guard. Jackson was a great person, Amelia is a lucky girl.

The pair made it to Amelia's little cottage. It seems like forever since Dahlia has visited last. Amelia has done a great job decorating and making it into the perfect witches lair. Dahlia went to knock on the door but mid knock she was met by Amelia swinging the door open. "Dahlia! are you okay?" Amelia asked. Dahlia was a little suprised. "I saw everything in a vision, come on in and let's talk about it" Amelia said as she waved them inside. Amelia lingered behind Jackson, to take in his scent.

They're not a mated pair yet, but the mate bond is still drawing Amelia closer and closer to breaking and letting Jackson compete the ritual. Jackson, seemed to be feeling the same way, because he let out a low growl of approval as he walked passed Amelia. Dahlia chuckled. "Will you two just complete the ritual already. I can barely get through all the sexual tension that's built up between you two" Dahlia said with a chuckle. It definitely wasn't Dahlia's best moment because she didn't even realize she has said it out loud and her two friends stood before her beet red and embarrassed.
