2 Ch-2 From glass to sands

In a dark space, you can see a boy floating in deep darkness, medium-length greenish-blue hair, which covers his forehead and run down to his nape, and olive like skin tone.

"Where am I and why it is so cold in here?" This boy is not other than Selby, he looks at his surroundings to at least find a clue. In the end, he found darkness, the more he floats in, this impenetrable darkness the colder and scare he felt. We can see him in a fetal position.

"Maybe it is for the best to just." Just when he was about to close his eyes, a sound could be heard, he decided to find the source of where the noise was coming from Selby felt less tire and colder the more he got closer to the sound the louder it got.

The door was open by, William and behind him, was Melissa and Gregory. They were surprised to see their son in this state, worry for Selby wellbeing. Selby slowly opens, his eyes they were baby blue and a crystal-like white tint in the very center of his eyes.

Melissa sat beside to Selby she grabs his small hands "My son, how are you?"

Selby, felt less scared when he felt his mother hands, he felt less lost safer he still can't see no matter how Selby, tries to focus his thought was interrupted by an unknown voice.

"My name is William, and I am your doctor all your questions will be answered before that I will need to do some short examinations' he got close to Selby checking his pulse, heart, ears, mouth and finally his eyes. 'How many fingers am I showing you?"

Selby forces his sight to its limits; in the end, he could not see he felt scared Selby, fumble the covers of his bed. "Is okay, you can stop, it seems you are having trouble with your sight,' he looks at the parents and then at the small child, he didn't know how to tell them, both the parents and the child where either shock, confuse or panicking. 'Mind if both parents accompany me to my office, there is something I will need to tell you both."

"Why can't I see? Selby in panic while holding his head, he was consumed by fear, Melissa and Gregory try to keep him calm. 'Listen to me my son your father is here for you, don't worry, by anything, let me take care of it."

Selby felt heartbroken, "Am I blind? Melissa felt crushed to see her son like this everyone was silent. 'Selby let me help you calm down, we can talk this let me... NO! - Let me go." William saw Selby grab toward his heart, fear, and sweating.

"NURSE! Different people enter the room while following the orders of the doctor, 'We need to calm him down, or his heart will stop."

"What is happening to our son? You need to calm down Selby if not healthy for you to be like this as long you are with us, you will be safe and protected.'

A nurse got closer to Melissa, "Miss, you need to leave and let so we can do our job,' Melissa wasn't convinced she wanted to be, beside Selby.

Greg grabs her by the hand and comforts her, "Let us wait outside let them do their job we are just getting in their way,' She looked at him and then to where her son was she felt grief she just, nod and both left the room. William exited the room, 'Will you follow me to my office, we can continue our conversation there." Both parents follow the doctor to their destination.

They arrive at the office, a well-organized with many bookshelves filled with medical books, many certifications hanging on the wall, here we can find William sitting on his chair while both Melissa and Gregory were sitting in front of him. "Let us talk about the patient, we were able to calm him down he suffered a minor panic attack.' Melissa asked, 'Can we see our son? William shook his head while saying no, 'The patient has been put to sleep, maybe tomorrow."

Gregory asked, "What about his blindness? While he grabs his wife's hands to try and calm her down. 'After all the test we have done all injury from the accident were minor at best, on the other hand, his sight is in a state where he can't, see at the moment."

Both parents ask, "What do you mean by that? 'His sight is trying to adapt itself, in the end, he will still be blind to explain it more easily; When you take a hot shower, and after you're done, you try to look yourself in the mirror, what happens to the mirror?"

"The mirror is covered in fog, and it gets tough to see yourself." Melissa answer, both parents were surprised at their findings.

William took a sip of his coffee, he looks at, both them and continues, explaining. "If you ask me is what we could call partially blind, your son will need to learn how to read, write, and how to use the stick( cane )."

"What about his state of mind of our son? 'Your son is in an unstable state, and that is my recommendation the patient needs to be in a controlled environment, there need to come to future test also he will need to visit a psychologist, while we heal his body they heal his mind."

As both parents look to each other, then they look back toward William, "We will do everything for our son, we will be in your care." Said, Greg with determination William look at both parents even the mother looks more resolute more active. He stretches his hand toward the parents and said with conviction.

"We wear the white coat with dignity, pride, honor, and privilege to serve the public we will, not let you down."
