10 Chap. 9 Meeting the Pack

(Rain POV)

It has been a few months now since I had joined the pack and I was currently having a small freak out session in our room. Yoru had just told me a few moments ago that in the next few days I have to meet the rest of the pack. They all knew by now that I was here and they were excited to meet their new co-Alpha. Yoru had also told me about the ceremony that has to be preformed in order for me to officially become his mate and co-Alpha. I have been working really hard to stay in my human form more. I wasn't sure if it was safe but Yoru said that if he can't be around then he will make sure Sabastion or one of the others that I have gotten use to is around.

'I suppose it's not all bad though.' I think to myself as I feel my face heat up at the thought of what had happened a few days ago. I had been walking around the house and had managed not to be scared into my wolf for for a good three hours and Yoru was so proud of me. When we had gotten back to our room he had pulled me into his arms and kissed me. At first it was soft and passionate but then it turned way more heated and we ended up on the bed with him over me, both of us out of breath and knowing we can't go any further. I shake my head to rid me of my thoughts when I hear footsteps outside the door. I listen for a moment then sigh in relief when I realized that it was only Yoru.

I sit on the bed and wait for him to come into the room. 'Hey Yoru.' I say happy as he walks towards me. "Hey Rain." He says back to me. "Tomorrow we are gonna have a practice for the ceremony, ok?" He tells me getting right into what he wants to talk about. I nod slowly, not sure I'll be ready for all of this so soon. "Don't worry mate, it'll be a peace of cake." He said and pulled me into his lap. I give a soft smile and lean back into him, loving the peaceful feeling that he always gives me. The moment just had to be ruined though by none other then my own stomach growling in hunger. Yoru laughs softly and stands us both up before taking my hand and leading me out of the room. "Let's get you something to eat." He says.

Once we get to the kitchen I smell someone in there already and pull on Yoru's hand. He feel him stop beside me and I put a finger to my lips, singling him to stay quiet. He stands still behind me as I moved further towards the kitchen and stick my head around the corner. I sigh when I catch the scents of Sabastian and Karasu, the pack's Delta. I look back to Yoru to see him standing there with an amused smile. I huff at him and pull him into the kitchen since I knew it was safe. "Hey you two." Sabastian says as we walk in and Karasu says a mumbled hello. I just give a small wave and continue to the fridge and, with Yoru's help, get what I want to eat.

After we had eaten we went back the room to get ready for bed since it was getting late. I sit on the bed. waiting for Yoru to finish his shower and by the time he had finished I was almost asleep. I heard Yoru chuckle to himself and felt the bed dip as he laid down next to me, pulling me into his chest. "I like it better when you sleep in your human form. I can hold you in my arms like this." I heard him murmur as I snuggled closer to him and happily fall asleep.

I was so nervous. It is the day of the ceremony and I am waiting for Yoru to call me up onto the stage. We had a practicing run yesterday and it had gone well. I shake my head to clear it as I hear my name being called. I walk up the stairs then freeze as all the different scents hit me at once. I turn toward the source of all the scents and feel the stares of tons of people looking at me. I feel frozen, like I if I move a single muscle something bad might happen. "Rain." I turn to the sound of the person who said my name. 'Just focus on my scent mate.' He tells me through our mate link. I smile softly and go to him, taking his hand happily. He then pulls me into his side and turns to face the crowd. "Now we will perform the marking and Buraindo will officially be my mate and the Co-Alpha of this pack." He says to the crowd who cheer in response.

Yoru moves behind me and starts to kiss down my neck. I tip my head to the side to give him more access. 'It feels so good...' I think to myself as he find my sweet spot and I have to bite my lip to stifle a moan. I feel Yoru smile against my skin before I feel his fang teeth on my skin. He gives the spot one more kiss before he bites down, digging his teeth into my exposed skin. I feel a rush of pleasure rich through me and feel my eyes close as my head tips back. To soon though the feeling ends and Yoru runs his tongue over the spot to stop the bleeding. I suddenly feel really sleepy as if the him marking me took all my strength away and, if not for Yoru's hold on me, I would have probably fallen by now. "Your new Co-Alpha Buraindo!" I hear Sabastian yell to the crowd who cheer even louder. 'Can't stay...awake.' I tell Yoru. 'Almost done love, then you can sleep.' He tells me gently. "Thank you all for coming to the ceremony now everyone must go now and prepare for the midnight run tonight." He says and dismisses the pack before picking me up bridal style. "Sleep now Rain." He tells me. "You will need your strength for tonight's run.

I snuggle into him and fell asleep. It felt like I had just fallen asleep when I start to hear someone calling my name, drawing me out of the soft blackness know as sleep. I give a small growl and pull the blanket over my head. "Come on, it's time to get up now." I hear someone say and realize it was Yoru who had woken me. 'What now?' I ask him grumpily. "It's time for the midnight run." He says, amusement is his voice. I sigh but get up and stretch. 'Finally back to my wolf!' I tell him in excitement. I don't even wait for him to answer and shift into my wolf, wagging my tail happily. I wait for him to open the door then run down the stairs to the front door. 'Hurry up!' I tell him as I hear his footsteps on the stairs. I hear him chuckle as he finally get to the door, opening it for me.

I walk out the door and am greeted by all the scents from before. 'So everyone is here for the run.' I think to myself as I feel Yoru shift into his wolf. 'Tonight we run together in our wolf forms as a completed pack. Rain and I in the lead with each perspective rank following after.' He said. 'But Yoru...' I start but he interrupts me. 'Just stay close enough for our fur to brush.' He tells me through our own link. At Yoru's command we begin running around the perimeter of our territory. We run around the entire thing tans end our run in front of the house. I hear the snapping and breaking of bones then the rustling of clothes next to as Yoru shifts and put on some basketball shorts. "Alright everyone shift back, get changed and meet back here behind the house and we can eat some barbecue!" Yoru told the pack excitedly. I was listening as everyone ran off in different directions to do as told when I feel a light tug on my left ear. "That means you to Rain." Yoru says with laughter in his voice.

I huff at him but do as he says, going inside to change and get ready. Yoru helps me pick some clothes out then we are back downstairs and heading outside. Stepping through the door the scent of cooking meat fills my nose as well as other people who were arriving. I make sure to stay next to Yoru or Sabastian throughout the night as pack members came up to me to say hello and introduce themselves. After what seemed like forever, people started going home and about an hour later the last few members went home leaving me, Yoru, Sabastian, Karasu, and a few others that live in the large house that stood apart from the other pack houses. I yawn tiredly as we tell everyone else goodnight and go up to about room. "Well what did you think?" Yoru asks me as we get ready for bed. 'It turned out to be more fun then I thought meeting the pack.' I tell him as I climb into bed. "I'm glad you had fun." He murmurs as I curl up against him falling asleep. 'Yes...' I think to myself as I am slowly consumed by the darkness of sleep, 'It was fun to meet the pack.'
