11 The Knight vs the Cavalier

At one of the old castles within Switzerland.

Stood the last two Maestros and their Attendants.

Elaine and Yangdai did not break their last gemstones, just yet, for their Attendants had asked them not to.

Instead.

Lancelot and Subutai both called forth their chariots, and a race/duel began.

Each warrior had extraordinary skills with their chariot.

Even Gaius Appuleius Diocles would feel envious.

Both warriors now crashed into one another, destroying their chariots. A battle of swords now followed.

Whenever Lancelot felt a blow from Subutai, he would compare the blows with the once he received from Sir Gawain- during the siege of France- but. Sir Lancelot was the renowned and unrivaled knight. He now forced Subutai back.

Lancelot noticed the grin on Subutai's face.

" Mad dog " said Lancelot with a smile.

Both Lancelot and Elaine now heard the crushing of glass.

It was Yangdai, who broke her final gemstone, which now gave a demonic appearance to Subutai.

Elaine quickly broke her final gemstone, but she was not fast enough. For Subutai had cleared the distance, and had now punched a hole in Lancelot's chest.

Sir Lancelot flew back, and he then fell on his knees, while supporting himself with his sword. He now coughed up some blood, and felt that he had few seconds left, but Lancelot would be damned if he did not make those seconds count.

He gave a look to Elaine, which she knew meant; that she had to get to a safe distance- Yangdai sensing something big was coming, also ran away- Sir Lancelot now forced himself back on his feet, while Subutai; now in a demonic-like-berserker state, glared at Lancelot; with a smile.

Lancelot tightened his grip on the hilt of his sword, as Subutai charged; like a dog.

Lancelot took a deep breath, ignored the pain, and calmed his heart, as his sword gave a holy glow.

Lancelot now held Arondight high above his head, and he then yelled;

" Joyeuse-Arondight! "

From Lancelot's sword, a beam sprang forth, which Lancelot brought down on the ground, leaving a cross-like-crater, and no sign of Subutai.

Elaine rushed to Lancelot's aid, while Yangdai accepted her defeat.

Lancelot could feel his life fading away, but that was when he and Elaine noticed Khidr with the Chalice.

" Congratulations, you two have won. Tell now of your desires, " said Khidr.

Elaine looked at Lancelot.

" I… have only one desire… to meet my friends and family… in Avalon " uttered Lancelot.

The Chalice granted Lancelot's desire, and Elaine's desire was rather simpel, she only wanted for Lancelot to find peace.

And that concludes this crusade.
