16 Chapter 16. Szayelaporro Granz
While Rukia was fighting the 9th Espada, Renji was about to face Szayelaporro Granz the 8th Espada who just woke up after getting knocked out by an unknown person.
Szayelaporro's mood was foul as he recalled about that moment. He felt his pride was being torn apart.
Renji after learning about Espada's initiated the fight.
Renji activated his Bankai, Hihio Zabimaru, but it ended up vanishing immediately.
Szayelaporro explained that in this room he can't use his Bankai because he knows everything about it, and because of that he was able to make a device in this room to nullify it.
Renji was confused by this as only people who fought against him would know his Bankai, but Szayelaporro explained that his brother is Yylfordt Granz, which shocked Renji. Szayelaporro thanked him for remembering his brother but then went on to explain that the reason he targeted him isn't for revenge. He stated that he put spirit recording insects on Yylfordt, allowing him to know everything that he knew. He then told Renji that he has no way to win and he unsheathed his Zanpakuto, explaining that he was excited since this was the first time he has fought a Bankai user and he told him to keep his body as intact as possible.
After battling a bit, with Renji released his Zanpakuto, Lumina and Verona entered the room yelling that Aaroniero Arruruerie was killed.
Szayelaporro said that he was so preoccupied with his battle that he didn't notice. He then told Renji the news that an Espada and Rukia both killed each other in battle.
This angered Renji, causing him to swing his Zanpakuto at Szayelaporro, but it was easily blocked. Szayelaporro told him that he can't beat him by only using Shikai, but Renji put more force behind his attack, lightly injuring him. Renji swung his Zanpakuto again, but as it hit the ground, Szayelaporro stepped on it, breaking a small piece off.
He threw it for Lumina and Verona to play with and went up to Renji, told him that he lost interest in his abilities. He then sent his Fraccion out and explained that he modified them. He then decided to kill Renji.
Medazeppi decided to attack Renji, and ended up sending him flying across the room. He then grabbed Renji and smashed him onto the floor of the room.
As this was happening, Lumina and Verona wanted to join in but Szayelaporro told them not to interfere and that he wanted to see a nice epilogue to this battle.
Medazeppi went to grab Renji again but this time Renji brought his Zanpakuto to his hand and made a minor cut across it.
Medazeppi began screaming in pain and Szayelaporro commended Renji for lasting this long, but stated that now things were going to be problematic as there was no controlling Medazeppi now.
Medazeppi began smashing everything around him and Renji began to desperately dodge his attacks.
As this was happening, Szayelaporro stated that it's a shame that by the end of this Renji's body won't be in perfect condition.
All of a sudden, Medazeppi was attacked and killed by someone. This person stated that it was unfortunate that the walls weren't made of Sekkiseki and as the dust clears, Uryu Ishida was shown, and he told Renji that he was looking bad right now.
The Fraccion started cursing Uryu for killing Medazeppi and Uryū wondered how powerful they were.
Pesche Guatiche, who came with Uryū as well, asked him if they were scared by his entrance but Uryu told him to be quiet or the tension would be lost.
All of a sudden, Szayelaporro yelled at his Fracciin to stop talking and stated that his new guest would like to say something.
Uryu thanked him for his consideration and asked Szayelaporro if he was an Espada.
Szayelaporro narrated his full name and rank to him, but because of this Uryu didn't believe he was a threat due to his low number.
Szayelaporro countered by saying that he was still stronger than him, but then asked Uryu who he was. Uryu stated that he was a Quincy, which caused Szayelaporro to laugh madly at the fact that he has now gotten to meet both a Bankai user and a Quincy in the same day.
As this was happening Uryu immediately appeared behind Szayelaporro.
He then shot an arrow straight at Szayelaporro, which ended up piercing his throat and causing Szayelaporro to fall onto his knees.
As his Fraccion go to his aid, the arrow piercing Szayelaporro disappeared and he began laughing madly again.
Szayelaporro told him that he was foolish in thinking that his arrow had pierced him and explained that he knew about his fight with Cirucci Sanderwicci, allowed him to analyze all of his abilities.
Uryu began fighting against Szayelaporro's Fraccion but his arrows didn't do any damage to them. His bow eventually disappeared and one of the Fraccion took this opportunity to punch Uryū but his blow was blocked by Renji, who asked Uryu if he knows any way of beating this guy.
Uryu told him that he does and the two of them decided to team up. Uryu asked Renji how long he can hold him, Renji replied that it's 20 seconds maximum.
However, Uryu told him that that's more than enough time and the two of them began their plan.
Szayelaporro told his Fraccion not to get involved as he was curious as to what they can do in their current state.
Renji swung his Zanpakuto around his head and then swung it directly at Szayelaporro.
Szayelaporro stated that this was nothing more than brute force and easily deflected the Zanpakuto.
However, Renji run-up to Szayelaporro and grabbed him by the neck while at the same time having his Zanpakuto surround and trapped them. Renji admitted to him that there was no chance of him winning with his current strength, but despite that fact, if he were to take damage from this close, it would hurt even him. Renji then began using Hado #31. Shakkaho and stated that he was always been bad at using Kido as his spells would always end up exploding. He then told Szayelaporro that their going to have a contest to see who's tougher and the Kido spell blew up, damaging the both of them.
Renji fell to the ground and Szayelaporro formed a distance between the two of them, got mad at the fact that a Shinigami was trying to make a fool out of him.
However, Uryu appeared behind him and told him that he knew he would form a distance between himself and Renji, whether the attack succeeded or not. He told him that he has a habit of going just far enough from his opponents that he can't be attacked, but Szayelaporro countered him, saying that Uryu has a habit of attacking people from behind. Szayelaporro then asked him if he thinks he's won and Uryū told him he has 5 Seele Schneiders surrounding Szayelaporro. Szayelaporro stated that this is impossible as the Reiatsu of his weapons should have been sealed and Uryu tells him that it just shows that there are things in this world that he doesn't know about.
Uryu then poured a drop of spiritual particles where Szayelaporro was and a huge explosion engulfed him.
All of a sudden, the dust from the explosion cleared up and Szayelaporro was shown to still be alive, but with major injuries.
Uryu told him that he was shocked that he was still standing, but Szayelaporro explained that because it was still his reiatsu from the attack, he was able to minimize the damage.
Szayelaporro then picked up Lumina and began eating him, which ended up recovering him. Verona complained about this but Szayelaporro told him to be quiet as he can always make another one. Szayelaporro then explained that his Fraccion were unique, because if he eats any of them his injuries will be healed.
Uryu called him a monster, but Szayelaporro told him that he would prefer to be called a genius and began walking away.
Uryu asked him where he was going and Szayelaporro stated that he was going to change his clothes, which angered him. But Uryu just run opposite with others.
While they were running they saw a door which led to outside and entered a room, but it ended up being the same room they were just in.
Szayelaporro asked them if they had a nice walk and stated that they will now begin the second act of this battle.
Szayelaporro explained to them that they should think of this area as his body since he can control the corridors, which was what led them back to this room. He then noted that their expressions were as if this is all a bad joke, but he explained that a bad joke is akin to inferior beings such as themselves, forcing him to use his full power. Szayelaporro unsheathed his Zanpakuto and swallows the blade, causing his body to expand. His body then goes into its true form, his Resurreccion Fornicaras.
Szayelaporro apologized for making them wait and said that the long-awaited second act can begin.
Black liquid came out of Szayelaporro's back and spread around the room.
Uryu told everyone not to touch it, but Dondochakka got hit by it, causing another Dondochakka to form. Uryu and Renji got hit by it as well, causing clones of them to form too.
Szayelaporro explained that these clones contain all of their abilities, but he told them not to worry as he has now removed the seal on their powers. He then told them to fight all out and Uryu notes that this truly is a "bad joke".
Renji, Pesche, and Dondochakka continued battling the clones, but they ended up getting confused as to who's who.
Uryu asked them what they were doing and explained the differences between them and the clones. The Renji and Uryu clones had a different type of skin around their eyes as well as a difference in the quantity of hair, the Dondochakka clone had a different type of dots on its back, and the Pesche clone had counterfeit trousers on. Renji stated that this was a pretty big mistake for Szayelaporro to make, but Szayelaporro explained that he purposely made them that way because he doesn't like the style any of them have.
Renji decided that he had to escape so he decided on a plan and activated his Bankai, Hihio Zabimaru, but this ended up causing all of the clones to activate their Bankai as well.
However, the room they were in is destroyed in the process.
Szayelaporro appeared and told them that the person who has to report this to Sosuke Aizen was going to be unhappy. He then got rid of the clones and stated that he was going to show them the true power of his Resurrección.
One of the clones of Renji was still around so Szayelaporro destroyed him as well. He then reiterated that he was going to show them his true power, but Uryu and Renji had different ideas. They both attacked him with their full power at the same time, but two large Hollows appeared in front of Szayelaporro, guarded him from the blows.
Szayelaporro told them that he was forcing them to participate in this and had one of his wings "eat" Uryu, but he was immediately spat out. He then thanked him for the meal and one of the strands of his wings became engorged and bursted with purple liquid, creating a small doll of Uryu.
Szayelaporro held up the doll and stated that this will now be Uryu. He then touched the dolls head, which Uryu felt, and Szayelaporro explained that he has control over all of his senses now.
He then flicked the dolls head, slightly injuring Uryu. Szayelaporro decided to rip the doll in half and Renji begged him to stop. However, he did so anyway but nothing happened to Uryu.
Szayelaporro told him that he was foolish in thinking that something would happen if he ripped the doll in half and showed that what he really wanted to do was to get to the body parts inside the doll.
He took out something that had written 'stomach' on it and broke it, causing Uryu to cough up blood.
As Renji angrily attacked him for what he did, he too got 'eaten' by one of Szayelaporro's wings. Szayelaporro stated that everyone got surprised from just a small thing and stated that Humans, Shinigami, and Quincy were all the same, and if there's any reason for them to be killed by Aizen, it would be because of their inferiority.
After making a doll of him as well, Renji desperately battled his opponent, who told him that he should just give up.
Renji charged at him, but Szayelaporro took out his left Achilles tendon organ and destroyed it, causing Renji to collapse.
Szayelaporro decided that he was going to continue destroying his tendons and told Renji not to move as he destroyed another body part.
Renji screamed in pain and he reiterated that he shouldn't move as he didn't want to hurt the two of them too much.
All of a sudden, Pesche attacked Szayelaporro with his Infinite Slick, which caused him to drop the two dolls allowing Pesche to easily grab them. Dondochakka then arrived and brought out Bawabawa from his mouth, allowing Pesche to jump on top of him.
Uryu asked him why Bawabawa came out of his mouth and Pesche explained that he's one of the combat insect spirits that Dondochakka keeps in his body, but they never told Nel because of the possibility that her memories would return. He explained that they didn't want her memories to return because then she would be forced into combat again, but because she had regained her will to fight they decided that they would assist her anyway they can. Pesche then told Szayelaporro that they didn't have time to deal with him and he got ready for battle.
Szayelaporro told Pesche that his attitude is unfitting for a Fraccion but was caught off guard when Pesche took out his Zanpakuto and made a minor cut across Szayelaporro's arm.
Pesche explained that his Zanpakuto is called Ultima and that it was made from overflowing spirit particles. He told Uryu that it's just like his weapon, but he didn't spot the similarity.
Szayelaporro decided to have his minions take care of Bawabawa while he himself takes care of Pesche and Dondochakka.
The minions went to attack, but Dondochakka took out his own Zanpakuto from his mouth and easily defeated the minions.
Pesche explained to Szayelaporro that he made one fatal error, which was looking down on them because they were opponents he had defeated before. He then stated that they were worlds apart from the level they were at before and Pesche gets on top of Dondochakka to do an original Cero that they created called Cero Sincretico.
However, their attack failed and they wondered why it didn't work.
Szayelaporro explained that they allowed him too much time, and that because he knew that they were Nel's Fraccion, he was able to analyze their reiatsu easily. He stated that while their Cero Sincretico is powerful, he already knew that from the start and told them that the only reason they lost was because they didn't use that technique from the beginning. Szayelaporro then assumed that they have nothing else left and he decided to put an end to this battle.
