14 Chapter 14. Nnoitora Gilga(2): Arrival of Zaraki Kenpachi

The source of the voice was a man who defended Tesla's attack before it came to contact with Ichigo.

Ichigo visually surprised by this, asked "Are you really Kenpachi?" which Zaraki replied casually then proceeded to kill Tesla.

After finishing off Tesla, Kenpachi moved to Nnoitora.

Nnoitora attacked exchanging blows, ranks, and names with Kenpachi.

Nnoitora taunted Kenpachi, saying Kenpachi will never be able to cut through his Hierro. Kenpachi, undeterred, continued to fight Nnoitora with even more ferocity, much to the Espada's surprise.

Nnoitora attacked as Kenpachi counters, forced Nnoitora to dodge. Kenpachi questioned why he dodged his attack, deducing that if he moved, it must mean the attack was dangerous. Kenpachi stated that though Nnoitora claimed that he can't be cut by Shinigami swords, he still seems to have some soft spots on him.

Dismissing it entirely, Nnoitora jumped up and attacked him from above, though Kenpachi caught his blade with his bare hands, then stated that he has met a lot of annoying people and they all said that his sword can't cut them. He further stated that he has never met anyone whose eyes and throat couldn't be cut and he stabbed his sword into Nnoitora's covered left eye and out the back of his head.

Unaffected by this attack Nnoitora grabbed Kenpachi's wrist, much to his surprise, as the Espada moved himself in closer and thrusted his hand into Kenpachi's chest.

Nnoitora retracted his hand and used the tip of Kenpachi's Zanpakuto to lift his eyepatch up, revealing his Hollow hole and mask remnants.

Nnoitora explained Kenpachi's attack went right through him. When Kenpachi started to laugh, which made Nnoitora enrage and attempted to kick Kenpachi but Kenpachi grabbed his ankle and apologized for laughing.

Kenpachi began to take joy in the fact that Nnoitora could be cut and thus die.

The two then clashed and Kenpachi finally succeeded in cutting Nnoitora's forearm.

They continued fighting on, fiercer than before, until Kenpachi cut him again, as well as taking off a piece of the Espada's sword.

Kenpachi then stated he has warmed up to Nnoitora's Hierro and thanked him for the practice.

The two continued and Nnoitora managed only to rip off Kenpachi's eyepatch which left himself open to be cut across the chest.

Kenpachi then explained what his eyepatch does. Infuriated by this Nnoitora finally released his Zanpakuto.

Upon release, he grew a pair of extra arms and each of the arms had a scythe.

Nanoitora then asked how it feels seeing an Espada release their Zanpakuto for the first time, though all he got in response to his question was a smile from Kenpachi, who told him that he had nice Reiatsu and that it had been a long time, as it was like the Reiatsu itself was sharpening his blade.

Undeterred, Nnoitora told Kenpachi to come at him. Kenpachi complied only to be dealt a grievous wound across his chest, for which Nnoitora mocked him.

Noticing that there was no movement from an unresponsive Kenpachi, Nnoitora set his sights on Yachiru Kusajishi, but Kenpachi recovered and managed to cut off one of Nnoitora's arms.

When Nnoitora commented on Kenpachi playing dead, Kenpachi started he was just thinking about how to deal with Nnoitora's arms.

Nnoitora called Kenpachi crazy and regenerated the lost arm. Continuing, Kenpachi managed to pin Nnoitora down, but Nnoitora revealed his two hidden arms and pierced Kenpachi's abdomen. Nnoitora then told Kenpachi that he was going to use all six of his arms to take him out.

Nnoitora generated another weapon, but Kenpachi only laughed, saying he was enjoying their battle.

The two went at it again with Kenpachi continuously being cut. Kenpachi realized that if this continues, he would die and stated he does not want to die. He then reluctantly decided to use kendo.

When Nnoitora expressed confusion, Kenpachi explained that the Captain-Commander made him learn it when he first joined the Gotei 13, but he never liked it, and asked Nnoitora if he knew a sword is more powerful when you use two hands instead of one.

Nnoitra became bored with the conversation and charged at Kenpachi, who gripped his sword with both hands and swung it down.

Kenpachi managed to land a powerful blow, dealt Nnoitora a fatal wound to his chest, almost severing him in half.

He was surprised that the Espada was still alive and then turned to walk away.

Nnoitora yelled at him, asked where he is going as the fight isn't over. Kenpachi explained he doesn't know what he was talking about, as the blow finished him and he was not about to be bothered with finishing off someone who can't even fight back.

Undeterred, Nnoitora got up and told him the fight wasn't over and taunted him to come back and continue fighting.

Finally, Kenpachi gave in as Nnoitora moved to attack him, but Kenpachi landed another blow to his chest and Nnoitora fell to the ground. He had a painful expression on his face as he looked at the Nelliel who was woking up.
