12 Chapter 12. Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez

Upon hearing the statement Ichigo suggested they settle their fight elsewhere which Grimmjow agreed.

Ichigo activated his Bankai on the route to the battleground. When he arrived at the battleground Grimmjow was already there, standing on top of a large pillar.

Clash began with blades colliding in mid-air. Then they continued the fight down to the solid ground, where the force of their attacks tore up the ground around them.

Grimmjow, leaped back to avoid one of Ichigo's attacks, charged a Cero in his free hand.

Ichigo intended to approach the attack head-on, he prepared to fire a Getsuga Tensho. But as he called out the attack's name, Grimmjow threw his Zanpakuto which left his other hand free to attack him with another Cero.

As the force of their two attacks created a large explosion, separating the two combatants.

Grimmjow then retrieves his Zanpakuto, which he had previously thrown into the pillar he was initially standing on. Leaping on top of the pillar then used Sonido to flank Ichigo, he attempted to hit him, but Ichigo dodged, which led to another series of blade clashes.

Ichigo and Grimmjow were in the mid-air. Then Grimmjow culminating and fired a Cero. Though Ichigo dispersed the attack with Getsuga Tensho, part of the beam pushed through, which he narrowly dodged.

Used this chance to flank him with Sonido again, Grimmjow cut him across the chest.

Grimmjow landed on the ground where he planted his sword into the ground.

Grimmjow then proceeded to cut his index finger with his blade, charged a special Cero of Espadas named Gran Rey Cero.

Ichigo who was in the mid-air noticed Nel and Orihime was in the range of Cero, yelled at Grimmjow to stop. But Grimmjow fired anyway.

Though the massive Cero inflicted an immense amount of damage to the surrounding structures, Ichigo managed to protect Orihime and Nel by donning his Hollow mask and getting in the way of the attack.

Grimmjow saw Ichigo's Hollow mask and overjoyed at how Ichigo had finally called forth his Hollow powers. Grimmjow then started to laugh manically, said this was the moment he had been waiting for.

Thus Grimmjow released his Zanpakuto kicked up a massive amount of sand as his spiritual power was unleashed.

As the sand and smoke finally settled revealing Grimmjow's Resurreccion, Pantera.

Grimmjow let out a massive roar, which surprised Ichigo with its immense sound pressure.

Without wasting time Grimmjow leaped toward Ichigo, caught him off guard, he stroke him with his arms, launched him through two massive pillars.

While Ichigo was still hurtling through the air, Grimmjow, intercepted him with Sonido, sent him into the sky with a knee strike.

Grimmjow Intercepted Ichigo once more, he knocked him down through a pillar, caused it to collapse.

Looking down at the smoking rubble, Grimmjow stated this cannot be all that Ichigo was capable of.

Then Ichigo appeared behind Grimmjow with Shunpo, Ichigo hit him with a Getsuga Tensho.

The attack soon dissipated and revealed an unharmed Grimmjow.

As the two continued to clash, Grimmjow overpowered Ichigo, slammed him into a pillar.

Then Grimmjow proceeded to thrust his claw towards the mask which Ichigo caught his hand before the blow can connect. He then slashed Grimmjow across the chest.

In retaliation, launched several punches and kicks at Ichigo. But Ichigo dodged all of them. Then Grimmjow stroke Ichigo over the head with a lash of his tail launched him to the ground once more.

As Grimmjow dived down to give a pursuit, Ichigo, caught him off guard, cut him across his left arm.

As he landed on the ground, he, blocked Ichigo's next attack, pointed his elbow at Ichigo, and launched five dart-like projectiles at him.

Ichigo dodged them then realized they were heading straight for Orihime which led Ichigo to intercept all five darts, allowing them all to hit his back.

Ichigo returned to Grimmjow where Grimmjow expressed surprise Ichigo was still in one piece after getting hit by five of them.

Then he noticed a crack on Ichigo's mask, asked if it is reaching its limit which made Ichigo remove the cracks and Ichigo pointed out Grimmjow was also appeared to be damaged.

Upon hearing that Grimmjow denied then attacked Ichigo, resulted in a clash that threw up a large amount of sand.

As the two continued to trade blows, they each landed a blow on the other's face, broke off parts of Ichigo's mask, and scratched Grimmjow's cheek.

Landed a kick on the side of Ichigo's head, Grimmjow knocked him to the ground.

As Ichigo recovered from the attack, Grimmjow was spinning towards him, stroke him, demolished a nearby pillar. Hitting Ichigo with several successive blows, Grimmjow, broke off more and more pieces of his mask, knocked him against a pillar.

Having almost completely destroyed his mask, Grimmjow stated Ichigo has reached his limit, and the battle was over.

Hearing this Orihime's begging Ichigo, stopped Grimmjow's next attack then Ichigo slashed Grimmjow down the chest as he was wide open.

Ichigo initially thought he had won the battle, Ichigo lowered his blade. But Grimmjow grabbed onto it.

Angry at how Ichigo thought such an attack could defeat him, Grimmjow stabbed his abdomen with his claws before pulling away.

Grimmjow then attacked Ichigo once more. Blocked the first two attacks, Ichigo mockingly asked if Grimmjow is angry because a mere Human is looking at him as if he were an equal.

Grimmjow kicked Ichigo's stomach, knocked him up into the air, and declared regardless of whether somebody is a Human, Shinigami, or Arrancar, he will smash everybody who looked down at him into pieces. Then leaped towards Ichigo once more, Grimmjow, appeared behind him with Sonido, held his wrists out together, with his claws extended, and told Ichigo he will start with him. With a slashing motion, Grimmjow formed massive claws of Reishi on each of his fingers.

Regained his footing in mid-air, Ichigo asked Grimmjow what the giant energy claws are. Grimmjow told him the ability was called Desgarron, and it was his strongest technique.

He swung one set of the claws at Ichigo, who barely managed to hold back their tips with Tensa Zangetsu.

Then getting past his guard, Grimmjow, slashed him down the chest, began to laugh, proclaimed Ichigo will lose to him and he was the king.

Regained his footing once again, Ichigo, pierced one of Grimmjow's massive energy claws with his blade, completely shattered it with a single swing. Ichigo told Grimmjow he was not the only who wanted to win, and he was his first target.

Ichigo started to fly right towards Grimmjow, who swung another set of energy claws at him.

Dragging Tensa Zangetsu across one of the claws, Ichigo tore a path straight through it as he got closer to Grimmjow. Then Ichigo admitted he came to Hueco Mundo to fight and defeat Grimmjow, but he also intended to defeat Ulquiorra and Sosuke Aizen, as well as bring back Rukia Kuchiki, Sado Yasutora, Uryu Ishida, Lieutenant Renji Abarai, and Orihime. Stating Grimmjow is just one person who cannot defeat him, Ichigo, broke through the rest of the energy claws, impaled him with Tensa Zangetsu.

Then Grimmjow started to fell to the ground as he no longer was conscious.
