9 Ares dies and Chi balance.

I felt a twinge of regret for not being fast enough to save Steve. Although, the one indirectly responsible for his death was getting his ass handed to him by a furious goddess. Yes, Diana's grief had caused her to activate her godly heritage. Ares tried to throw lightning at her, but, she absorbed it and sent it back to him multiplied.

The god of war had a shocked look on his face as his chest was destroyed by his own attack. I didn't want to stick around anymore, hoping to avoid getting lassoed and spilling out my secrets. I created my trusty construct under me and zoomed up. Luckily the clouds provided me enough cover to slip away. I was dead tired mentally.

It was 1918, so I knew the living conditions would be even worse as compared to my previous world. I didn't want to stick around so I tried world jumping again but the power refused to obey. My face turned gloomy and I tried to world jump again, this time nudging it more forcefully. A flash of pain went through my brain and the construct behind me broke. The pain went away just as fast as it came and i created another construct.

I sighed in resignation, Turns out at 10%, my world jump needed to recharge for a bit. I directed my construct to fly even faster, wary of Wonderwoman pursuing me, wanting to know who I was. I flew for close to 5 hours before I landed in what I came to know as England. Luckily by that time in history, there were no radars to detect my flight. I landed on a farm, which contained a normal looking Victorian house.

I looked down at myself, shirtless, barefooted and wearing a ripped trouser that had seen better days. First thing to do is get some clothes. I decided on not knocking on the door and instead 'borrowed' some clothes hanging on the line. Being close to the wee hours of the morning, the clothes were a bit damp and tight.

The pants were high waist and luckily baggy but short. I also lucked upon a shirt, cravat and a black coat but no shoes. I gave a small thanks to the unknowing lenders and supersped out of there. To prevent the clothes from tearing and wearing I reinforced them with red but kept it's color dim enough to avoid notice.

I didn't break the sound barrier but my speed was fast enough that all anyone would see was a blur. Being just close to dawn, there was little chance of anyone spotting me at all. I entered London and stopped in an alleyway, I needed shoes and the only way I knew how to get them was stealing from criminals.

Every city in the world has to have a slum, the place where poor people are oppressed and segregated so as to not be seen near the rich. Bearing in my mind that that was where crime lords usually create their hq, I used my super hearing, which was now off the charts to listen in.

I heard a few shady deals going on in a nondescript building, so I snuck in again, knocked everyone out by using love taps, stole some guys clothes who was close to my size, got all their money and snuck out again. I wasn't feeling sorry for them because these guys bought Asian girls as slaves and forced them into their brothels.

I knew it wasn't my problem but being from the modern world where slavery was something of the past, or hidden away so much it was hard to find, I felt bad and wanted to go rescue them all. I knew it wouldn't solve anything however. So I went to a station and left the police information about it. How? by tying the crime boss up and delivering him at the door of the building, with a piece of paper showing the directions to their hideout as well as other info.

I used the money I had gotten to find a hotel, rent a room for a week and promptly fell asleep. I slept for 10 hours and woke up feeling very refreshed. The food at the hotel was not that good and adding my increased senses into the mix it was easy dislike it. Wonderwoman had little motivation to look for me, considering the fact that she was probably mourning the death of her love. So I allowed myself to let the guard down.

I decided to settle down in London for a while, enjoying the peace and quiet before traveling the world waiting for my world jump to recharge. I went over what I had seen and during Wonderwoman's and Ares final confrontation, with the former activating her divinity, I knew that her power dwarfed mine entirely now. I needed an edge.

Wonderwoman had the ability to lift over 100 plus tons and her speed was over 7000 mph. With her divinity, I'm guessing that her physical prowess was raised even further, the boosts I'd gained from her were only 40% of her former power level, she would thrash me like a baby now. What I needed was to learn how to control the abilities I had and horne them. With a strong enough barrier, I could block all her attacks.

Not to mention, I had only discovered 3 colors from my mutant ability. I guessed that there were more colors, I could unlock. There was also the thing about upgrading the Omnitrix. Something was telling me, I needed to upgrade it soon or something would happen. I didn't know how to describe the feeling as it wasn't something dangerous or beneficial, it just felt as if the watch was about to hit a block or something.

A month later, the war ended and I started planning my journey to see the world. This month I had not been idle, I had hit a lot of criminal empires in the city and most of them were behind bars. The brave ones tried to make a trap for me, but I still managed to defeat them all. I had also maimed a dozen of them, who were completely irredeemable.

On the side of my powers, I had kept on using my Bio-kinesis to keep my body in a constant state of tension then healing it using the green, all the while increasing the growth hormones. I condensed the mass of my muscles, making them even stronger. I had been working on the concept of Overdrive times two but even with the Demigod physiology, it was slow-going.

I tried to access more colors but failed so I concentrated on the 3 I had. I learned that I had been using the red in a very crude manner. Turns out that the red was the ability to enhance. I had previously only been enhancing my body's toughness. After learning of this, I developed a way to enhance my other functions like speed, strength and my five senses. It worked but I could only keep one enhancement active. Forcing the issue, I tried to use the full body enhancement in conjunction with Overdrive and passed out.

My body was still not strong enough to support that kind of power. The green was pretty straight forward in it's utilisation. It healed my body. Nothing else. It didn't work on anyone else and when I tried to force it out, wisps of green smoke escaped my body and left me feeling weak.

My Orange constructs grew in power and versatility as I kept on practicing day in and day out. I had to exhaust myself mentally so that I could have a good sleep at night. I enjoyed myself immensely the month I had been there testing out my powers and beating criminals but when it came time to leave, I boarded a ship that was going to Asia.

My first impression of Asia was that the air was fresher than Europe. The environment itself was completely different from what I had been used to. I had stayed on a ship for a month by then and missed the land. My travels took me all around the Japanese islands, learning their customs although even with my increased intelligence the language was tough to learn.

3 months later, I found myself in China, specifically a small Shaolin Temple in the mountains. Instead of the hostility I had dealt with while journeying through the land, they welcomed me and made me feel at home. The Grand Master was an old man, who had a kind and accomodating smile.

One night, when he had invited me to have tea with me, he looked at me and said something surprising.

"Your chi is out of balance my young friend."

I was confused for a bit and inquired on what he meant.

"Your anger and hatred burns deep inside you, growing ever big and powerful, only to explode one day and consume you in darkness."

Whoa was he saying I would go all Anakin on the world?

"What can I do to stop that from happening Grand Master."

He sipped his tea calmly and looked at me with wizened eyes.

"Anger is an emotion like any other. Hatred however is a negative dedication to something or someone, just like love is it's positive aspect. Do not confuse them as opposites however. Hatred is chaotic in it's nature hence causes an imbalance in your inner self."

He stopped and saw me paying very close attention to him and continued.

"I won't tell you to stop hating but I will tell you to stop letting that hate consume you. How? By separating your anger from your hate. Hate when you find the perfect opportunity to strike at that which you hate, don't bury it deep all the time together with your anger."

I was momentarily stunned. I didn't get all of that but what I did was, hate bad, separate anger from it and don't let it…ugh! What does that even mean? As if sensing my frustration, the Grand Master smiled.

"Join me tomorrow for practice, we'll explore the enigma of life through meditation."

I nodded absentmindedly as I was still thinking on his words and went to sleep.

From the next day onwards, the Grand Master led me through meditation and calming exercises that made me get in touch with myself even more. I managed to find the connection I had lost and even started writing music again. Of course I didn't show it to anyone as they probably wouldn't understand it but the point is, I had been so caught up in my hatred and anger that it had clouded some of my judgement.

I resolved not to use the red until I had gotten my chi back in balance again. Due to all these practices as well as the calming environment, I unlocked the blue. The blue enabled me to feel other's emotions. So basically it made me an empath. The blue also helped me in learning how to use my chi. It didn't make me more powerful or anything, but it made my mind and emotions clearer.

I had a feeling that my anger wouldn't distract me in a battle anymore and illusion attacks were less effective on me now. My world jump had already recharged by then but I wanted to do something before I left this universe. It was time to speak to Diana.

I left Asia behind and flew towards the coast of North America in the Atlantic ocean. Thanks to my powers, most specifically the blue, I was able to see past it's cloaking and found myself in a paradise. The air was the freshest I had ever breathed in, even fresher than Asia and I took a second suspended up in the air on my hover construct, just breathing it in. Due to my great eye-sight, I could see naked hotties swimming in a river under a waterfall. There was also a large arena located in a city that looked slightly Romanian.

I blocked an arrow that was coming for my head with a shield. A hundred more arrows were shot at me and I was impressed by their skill. You have to understand I was hovering 500 meters up in the air, the strength and ability needed to do so with such accuracy was phenomenal. A horn sounded and Amazon warriors started showing up armed to the teeth. Not wanting to keep my hosts waiting I flew down and harmlessly raised my hands.

The Amazons looked ready to attack but instead made way for a beautiful woman wearing a crown. I smiled and bowed a little.

"Your beauty is truly astounding Queen Hippolyta."

She frowned her regal features and said with barely concealed distaste,

"You're that man, my daughter was talking about. The stranger that went toe to toe with Ares and survived. What do you seek coming here?"

I straightened out and my smile grew wide, there was little chance if any of this going bad. After all, world jump was fully recharged now. I could escape if things got dire. I just really really wanted to spar with Wonderwoman and repay her for the beating she gave me. Some might say it was petty of me, but my choices were my own to make and I didn't care what anyone thought of me.

"Nothing much, I was just wondering where your daughter is...she and I have some unfinished business."
