2 Chapter 2 - System unlocked!
The notification came when I was sleeping, the light ding was reverberating in my head, yet the sound was only heard by me, my eyes were screwed shut, trying to block it out and find some sleep in the is rocking, smelly, cabin, the thin cloth of the hammock sunk under me almost reaching the floor, it was worse than sleeping on the floor, with my back all hunched up, eventually I gave into the weird noise and opened my eye, my light deprived eyes were met with a gleaming sheen, which then materialised into what seemed to be a system:

I said yes in my head, and was shocked to see what the system revealed. Miles of scrolling won't be enough to see the list of devil fruits, potions, artifacts, and power-up spins. I noticed a flashing inbox sign with a red dot on it. I navigated toward it and was met with a few messages, "Ancestral Bonus"

The shock was plastered on my face because when one of the infantry came in to say they were ready for morning brief, they were curious as to why I looked like a deer in headlights. Instantly I got up gave the brief and went to the training room at this time anyway. I sat on a bench and went to the Ancestry Bonus screen on the system, I spun for my Devil Fruit type and was surprised to see that I had spun a custom devil fruit, which means i can choose my powers and fruit class, I went for the Magnitude fruit, which can control the size of things including speed. I could see endless possibilities with this fruit.
I selected a marine jacket from the inventor and laid it on the bench to wear after my training, I unsheathed Nidai Kitetsu and focused on applying length to the sword, from what I could understand of the fruit I was right now capable of just a 5x increase of anything, I focused on the katana in my hand and it extended, what was a meter long became 5 meters long, this improved my range, but I wouldn't need 5 meters so I shortened it to 2 and got into a fighting stance, lowering my body into a striking position in front of the straw dummies that were used for training. I applied a 5x extension to my speed stats and dashed forwards Oki-sa Oki-sa no mi, forward slash, I sprinted forwards at 5 times my normal speed and all the dummies in the training room had their heads severed.
I bought many things from the shop and had them stored and the best thing was the books, the knowledge within them, I could learn within hours, thanks to me being available to extend my brain power and memory, i learnt about the six styles and the basics of haki, now i was able to just about coat my entire sword in armament, when it's not extended of course, and my arms too were now easier to cover in armament due to my rigorous training methods. I forced myself to deck runs while enhancing the weight on my boots from, about a kilogram each to 6 kilograms and the weight of all my usually light clothing rose to 5 kilograms, every morning i ran in this fashion around the ship 5500 times, equivalent to 100 miles. Worn out from this, I still don't allow myself to rest, decreasing the weight of my clothing but then increasing the amount of gravity on me by 5 times. The first few days I found it hard to walk a few steps, then i began adding 5x gravity to all my training regiments, 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 burpees, Bench press 100 kilograms. The bench press with gravity was the death of my arms yet i pushed through the pain every day.

During these two months, i kept up with training and the repeated use of my fruit simultaneously meant that it had grown in mastery and perks came along with that, i opened the stats window and marveled at my improvements:
