That one monster had just given me 25 levels. Simply unheard of. I now had 125 stat points to spend. I decided on spending all of my stat points on speed, except for ten reserved for strength, just so that I could unlock the bonus that was given once any stat reached 500. Another reward was given once the player reached 1000 in one area. My total speed after that investment was 500, causing another notification to pop up.

/ Due to your speed stat reaching 500 we are giving you this skill.

Wind Walk: Allows the user of this skill to teleport to a distance of up to 500 meters away instantly, costs 100 MANA per use. Ability ranges for different people. Cannot been seen by anyone with a lower speed skill /

I am either really lucky or hacking the game for this luck. One more OP skill in my stash, but wait, I hadn't even gotten to the drops yet. Racing towards to drop area, I overshot by 100 meters. After getting to the spot where the drops were, all I found was a bag of scales and a ring. Storing the bag into my inventory, I inspected the ring. Another heaven defining object.

/ Cristilite Ring

Allows the user to put up a barrier for up to 3 hits. Barrier nullifies all attacks for those three hits. Costs 1000 MANA per use of spell /

Feeling like a god, I walked over to the teleport square which had appeared after beating the boss. Once on the surface, I looked around for my group but only a guard remained.

"Did all of my teammates go back to the village?" I asked.

"Yes, and I was instructed to bring you back once you returned," he replied with a calm voice. Turning to leave I thought of a better idea than walking to the town.

"Get on my back and I'll run to the King's house-castle." I stated as I knelt down. Shrugging, he got on and once he was securely holding on, I bolted towards the kingdom. Now, had I tried this before I gained all of my speed it would have taken only 30 minutes instead of an hour walk. Now it only took ten minutes to get to the town, and that was with somebody slowing me down. Controlling my speed so that I could actually enter and not run out the other wall, I met with King Nathan.

"Oh, so you're back. I expect that you made it to the bottom floor." He stated.

"Actually your grace, I managed to beat the dungeon. Although the last boss caused me a great pain but the gain was good." I replied. Nathan looked stunned.

"You are a terrifying force indeed. You should go rest while your comrades complete their challenges. Feel free to use the room two doors to the left." He ended our conversation as he went back to work. After finding the room I logged off.

Pulling the helmet off of my head I walked into the kitchen, because you know I was hungry, and on the TV was an announcement about how they had made a body box for the VR that would supply your body with the nutrients to survive until you logged off. The downside was that every five days, you had to refill the nutrient supply. Damn, they advanced so fast. Deciding to see if they had posted the highest level players online yet, I got onto a computer. Looking at the sites I was happy but also confused. The site said that my level was only a 65 with my team all in the 40's and 50's.

I was at the top of the list with 10 levels above the second place person according to this site. Vortex was at the 3rd place for levels while everyone else was a spot or two below, other than Astral who was 10th on the list. The second place person was someone named Upsurge with a level of 55. I didn't think that we would be at the top of the list even with the lucky encounters that we've had. A phone rang out causing me to resurface? from my thoughts.

"Hello? Who's calling?" I asked as I answered.

"I'm calling for a Axel Olsen, is he there?" The reply came.

"This is him, what are you calling about?" I spoke, unsure.

"My name is Peter, or you may call me Upsurge. I was wondering if you wanted to meet up in game and go clear a dungeon." Upsurge spoke.

"I'm guessing that your dad works for the game company and that's how you got my number, and why the hell not. Sure I'll clear a dungeon with you." I replied. He must be planning to kill me when we enter the dungeon.

"Um, yes that's how I got your number. Let's meet up in game at the village of escobar in 30 minutes from now." He sounded sheepish. I hung up.

"Ha, he won't know what hit him, plus he probably still thinks that I'm level 65." I muttered to myself. Spending fifteen minutes on a shower and food, I spent the other fifteen on jogging to the area of were we were supposed to meet. Standing with my back against the wall, I started to hum until I saw a decently equipped man walking towards me. My armor compared to his looked like I had picked out mine from the garbage.

"Are you Shadow Flash?" the man asked.

"Ya, and you are?" I spoke.

"I'm Upsurge. The dungeon is just through that forest." He replied. I jogged up to him but in his perspective it looked like a blur appeared in front of him.

"If this is a trap, I'll kill you before you know what happened." I whispered into his ear, then jogged back to where I originally stood. That little thing happened in less then five seconds. I looked over my shoulder and asked.

"Are you coming to clear this dungeon or what?" He nodded in reply and regained his composure. In-game my quiet and timid personality seemed to disappear. Smiling, we walked into the forest. We arrived in front of a grey temple within ten minutes.

"So, before we enter, could you tell me what your highest stat is?" I asked.

"My highest stat is strength and endurance at 150 and 135." he replied.

"Your strength is higher than mine but our endurance is the same. My highest is speed at-" I spoke as I pulled my screen up.

"-175." Better to lead him on that I'm still level 65. Walking up to the entrance I sensed something approaching my head. I could have easily caught it with my speed, but where's the fun in that, so I used my teleportation skill at the second right before it hit me, appearing at the top of the temple instantly. Turning around I spotted more than a dozen players walking out of the trees along with the branches lined with archers.
