Chapter 11 : Dungeon

/ Lightning infused scarf

Speed 20 + 15, strength 10 + 5 /

I followed that result up with the rest of my five equipment. The results were only + 10 speed and +5 strength. Time for the dark MANA. I started with my scarf again.

/ Lightning/Darkness infused scarf

Speed 35, strength 15 + 20, endurance + 20 /

Good stat boost next all the rest. This time my stats went up by strength +10 and endurance +10. I should check my stat screen.

Debating if I should tell them, I chose not to. Walking for five more minutes, we reached the dungeon.

"All right touch this crystal and you will be transported into the entrance of the third floor." The Captain said pointing towards a silver ball on the pedestal. Deciding not to put it off I walked and grabbed it. A flash happened and when I could see, all that was around me was bones. Waiting for my team to appear next to me, I got a notification.

/ You have now entered a single player dungeon. If your health is depleted to below 5% on any floor other than the boss floor, you will be teleported to beginning on floor one with all progress lost. Unique reward for first completion /

Well damn. Deciding not to waste any time I strolled forward. Not even twenty paces in, I encountered a monster. A Boar with the level of 30. Letting it rush forward I sidestepped the charge and poked at it. 500 damage done. Slashing it five times in quick succession because the 500 damage boost was gone, I killed the monster. It dropped two pieces of meat. Putting the drop into my backpack I found out that the meat could stack. I'll take this meat back to the village just because I can. I ran around killing dozens of more boars over the span of thirty minutes, eventually finding a big room. This must be a boss room, probably to advance to the next floor. My guess was correct and a giant boar spawned with the level of 45 and 2000 health. Shrugging, I walked towards the boar slowly picking up speed. Jumping in an attempt to reach its head, I soared over the boar landing on my face. I way over shot that. Glad no one was around. Standing up I tried to jump again, this time making it onto its head as it slowly turned to face me. Hooray for slowness! Thrusting my sword into its eye, I leaped off doing a back flip. Ya... I didn't make that one as landed on my back. Groaning, I stood up once again. For the next ten minutes, I toyed with it taking small chunks of health off every few seconds until I finished it off.

A stairway opened going down to floor four. The monsters on the fourth floor were Gorgons of level 40. This floor went like the one above. Floor five with level 50 cyclopes, passed. Floor six with level 60 black dogs, passed. Finally floor seven, the final floor. I was worn out because of all of the other monsters but decided to continue. Those level 60 monsters were getting hella difficult. Well no point going back right now, might as well finish it. Starting into the vast caves of this floor, I didn't run into any monsters other then two snake like monsters. As I got farther in, I had started to get worried. My worries grew and kept on growing until I spotted a big boss room. A notification popped up.

/ You have now entered the final room, final boss is a rare elite, good luck. /

Deciding to spend the ten levels I had gained while in this dungeon on speed and strength, my stats looked pretty good and I was confident that I could win.

Looking over the stat screen again I realized that I now had another Path. Must be because of all the stuff I've done with lightning like imbuing it into my armor and sword. Walking down the stairs, I looked for the boss. As I neared the center of the room, an explosion rocked the floor pushing me backwards. The boss was on the ceiling! Studying the boss, it looked like a mix between a dragon and a snake and had a level of 85.

Pretty reasonable based on the fact that the monsters that I had encountered on this floor were snakes and the fact that it was a rare elite. The only thing was I didn't know why it only had 1500 health. Rushing in I tried to slash at the body to deal some damage but my sword was deflected by the scales. Damn, those must be freaking diamonds on its body. Leaping out of the way, I circled the monster trying to find a weakness. The only weaknesses I could see were its mouth, eyes and a small spot on the bottom of its stomach. Not much to go on but that's probably why its health is only 1500.

I refocused my gaze just fast enough to avoid a ball of fire coming at me. It has a breath attack!? This was going to be a lot harder than I first thought. Using a bolt of lightning, I tried to blast its eye. The attack went and struck the eyelid of the beast, fully neutralizing the bolt. Cursing, I tried the same thing another ten times, all with the same result. Deciding that if I was going to finish this I would need to go all out for the eye while avoiding the breath attacks.

Rushing towards the snakion, I moved in a zigzag hoping to throw it off course. My idea worked and it made it a lot easier to approach the monster; the only downside was that it would take forever for me to be able to strike it down. This was a major dilemma, causing me to have a headache.

Getting frustrated I summoned a storm of lightning and dark MANA fusing them together - a notification popped up - and threw it at the snakion. This attack drained a lot of my MANA but was worth the effort as the spell did 10 damage to the beast. Looking at the notification, I saw that the spell I had just cast or created was called Dark Repulser, and took 900 MANA to cast. So I can only cast two of these if I have full MANA, I should charge up my MANA while still using to tactic of trying to get close to strike it with my sword. It was a long, long, long process but I was eventually was able to get the Snakion down to 100 health. This son of a gun better drop something insanely good or I will rage quit.

The battle went on for another hour with me slowly progressing. Finally, the last of its health melted away as Dark Repulser hit it. An abundance of notifications popped up allowing joy to replace the rage that was still burning. Looking at my stat screen I was flabbergasted.

Was writing another story. Will post both chapters as I finish them. May take a bit for my next story to actually come out as I still need to edit it. Thanks for all the support!
