1 Wedding and Scandal

Daniella's POV

Today is the day! My happily ever after has just begun as she adored herself in front of the mirror. The white satin gown decorated her figure with reality and sophistication. Something that every "princess" should possess without any difficulty whatsoever. As I continued to indulge myself in my wedding gown in my hotel room, I heard a voice erupted behind me

"There's my little starlight" I've watched my mother create her grand entrance as she sashayed into the room like she is the light of the party. Adrianna Rothschild, my mother, is your typical diva queen that she earned her personality. She is the head fashion editor of the renowned "Enlightenment" fashion magazine. A wordy title yet it lives up to the name as one of the top-selling magazines in America and eventually, in Europe.

"Don't you look agast, Dani!" my mom began as she walked up behind me and grabbed both of my shoulders reassuringly. "I knew this day would come. The day that I have to let you go-" It didn't take long that my mother started to weep as I watched her helplessly at the reflection of the mirror.

"Mom! Save the tears for later, I am still not married yet" I reminded her as I tried to hold back my laughter

My mom fanned herself as she gathered her composure "I'm sorry but this is just so overwhelming. My little girl has finally become a bride. It was like a week ago that I first saw you fitting that dress"

"It was a week ago!" I reminded as I held her hand and looked at the clock. 8 am. 4 hours until the wedding starts and she has to make the last minutes preparations have to be perfect, even the attendance. "Is dad already there?" I asked, knowingly full well what the answer is. My father, Isaiah Rothschild, the Chief Executive Officer of Rothschild Hotel and Casino franchise all over the country and soon in China. Who would have known that gambling would put us as one of the social elites of the world? Everyone wants to be part of this family. After all, who would reject a Rothschild?

"Of course! He is just catching up with old friends and workers. You know how your father can be with business. Until now, I still can't figure a way to get his eyes off his computer".

"I'm sure giving him grandchildren will"

My mother turned to me with her jaw-dropped and her hazel eyes wide with shock when she finally asks the million-dollar question "Are you pregnant?"

I shook my head and laughed. "No, no! I'm not but me and Keith have been talking about it for a long time. We already have a name for our first child"

"It better be named after me" my mother demanded

"If my firstborn is a girl though Keith wants a boy. We are planning to name him James, a simple name" I answered as I twirled around to view myself from different perspectives. Everything will be perfect, just as according to plan. Their love story was planned by their parents. A union to create links between their businesses. However, unlike most arranged marriages, me and Keith have love each other since they are kids. The time we spent together has strengthened their bond of friendship into a relationship that he himself decided to propose to me.

"Daydreaming already, the wedding has not even started" my mother observed that snapped me back to reality

"I still think that it is all a dream!' I confessed then looked at the time "We have to go! It's already 9 am and I have to meet with my bridesmaids"

"Go! They are waiting for you in the lobby already!" she answered as her mother gathers the long trail of her white veil as they both made their way to the elevator. I had to control my breathing the entire time from fainting too early. Every princess deserves a happy ending and this is hers!

When the elevator doors opened, the people began singing the theme "Here comes the bride"

"Here comes the bride! Here comes the bride!". Being surrounded by her friends, families, and familiar faces all throughout her life made it perfect as the bridesmaids rushed as they crowded all around her. All dressed in elegant gowns and tuxedos as if they are part of a royal wedding

"I knew this day would come but I didn't know that it came too soon!" Amber exclaimed as the redhead basically launched herself to the lucky bride. I managed to catch her in time and laughed at her actions. "Watch the dress" I began then turned to the others "Is everything ready?"

"Of course" Monica, one of my best friends, in a shimmering sea-green gown answered confidently "From the aisle to the hotel, everything is ship-shaped, captain!"

A sly smile appeared on Samantha's face as she added "Speaking of the hotel, are you ready to show Mister K, some good time? I hope you took my advice on doing some practice-"

"Oh my god!" Amber exclaimed as she basically threw her hands up in exasperation "This is not your wedding so stop being horny!"

"I can't give my friend some advice, harsh!" Samantha replied but I couldn't help the blood rising to my cheeks by those sinful thoughts Sam decided to put into my head. As much as I want to enjoy the wedding night, the ceremony and reception must come first. All have gathered to say their congratulations and wishes as I walked to the white limousine that will bring me to the church where my husband awaits. There will be no stopping at my wedding. There will be no stopping at my happily ever after

Behind the giant wooden doors, the procession begins with the orchestra playing the iconic "Canon" symphony. The bridesmaids and groomsmen go first followed by Amber, my maid of honor. Finally, the flower girls decorating the red carpet with white rose petals along with the ring bearer. My heart beats loudly inside my chest when my father laced his arm around mine and smiled with great pride. "Are you ready to shine, my little angel?" he asked and I nodded my head while trying to stop the tears from pouring.

The guests stood up and turned in my direction as I walked down the aisle carefully and our eyes met. Keith, the love of my life. He wore the classic dark tuxedo with dark brown hair combed neatly and the intense gaze of his dark eyes turned to my direction, but I could have sworn I saw uncertainty in them for a moment.

Once my father handed my hand to his and returned to his seat, Keith spoke up "Daniella, there is something that I-"

"Dearly beloved" the priest interrupted, "We are gathered here today to celebrate these two individuals in matrimony-". I couldn't focus on the words the priest was saying as the future played in front of my eyes. Spending our afternoons in our little summer house. The cries of our little girl, or boy, if ever. Finally, sleeping with him, his body wrapped around mine.

The priest turned to my groom and asked the universal question "Do you, Keith Larson, take Daniella-". Once again, I turned to my future husband but somehow there is something wrong. There is uncertainty in his brown eyes, his mouth quivering as if he is trying to hold back something and the priest continued "Till death do you part?"

"Daniella" he uttered my name but this time it felt different other than before until he spoke up in a loud voice and turned to the audience "Father, everyone! I'm sorry but I don't want to marry the daughter of a criminal!"
