The Offer

Principal Ben and agent John had been observing the whole thing .Agent John here is a part of secret agency called Shades .The whole aim of Shades is to lookout for any possible chaos makers within normal public like Gang members , drug lords and threats to peace .

As a part of his job he has to keep a close eye on common people and be on trail for criminals. He has a few connection everywhere and is overall a quite charismatic person.

Back to Steels , both of them had a normal day after a quick visit to principal's office .

"So I think with some proper training you can be a great addition to my team."said John.

"Why would we leave our normal education to become some secret agents that we know nothing about ."says Rex.

Ryan clarifys, "He wants to say that for all we know you could be a part of a shady cult needing a sacrifice to shadow demon Lord "

"What🤔?No nothing like that ",says John."Look first of all there is nothing like shadow demon Lord and second it's a government job with high paycheck and it is offered to you not like you have to give exams or anything."

Ryan and Rex ,"I am sorry but it's still hard to believe"speaking at same time the exact words ."Ok stop copying me"once again. In the background principal just rolled his eyes thinking 'Do you really want to do it John'

"We need as many talented youth as we can . Something is not right you see dark energy is oozing into our world ."

"Ok sorry for declining you but we must leave now ,bye" as they move out of the room. A small Robo chimp is seen walking slowly behind them with a visiting card in his hand .

Later

"Why did you allow those two to decline your offer ? You have the authorization to force any civilian to comply to your orders including recruitment procedures."asked principal Ben.

"Those two are special .Steels and Coopers go way along in the past. We need them in our team and they will see it."says John.

"Oh right. Swordsmen and Robo warriors and stealth ninjas .😑Totally normal stuff. Sure you do your recruitment job ask me anything if you need",says principal Ben.

Afternoon at 2 pm

Ryan and Rex always stay for a few extra hours to study after lectures in the library.

"What do you think about agent John ?"asks Rex. "What about him?"says Ryan.

"I mean about what he said about Dark energy and the danger is coming "Says Rex.

"I have a few concerns about agent John .First of all we know nothing about who he is or what he does and it clearly seemed like he has been spying on us ."

"Leave it we will see it later ."said Ryan and they started walking towards the entrance hoping to see uncle sam with his car.But suddenly....

"grrrrhrhhh uuuuhhhh uhhh wohuhhh"a very sad weeping sound is heard.

Ryan and Rex heard and felt suddenly sad and horrified . The sound was very low and animal-like upon following the sound they reach near a bush .They see a white puppy with a huge cut on his shoulder that has been oozing with green liquid .The puppy looked in pain and was twitching every few seconds .

Ryan and Rex both froze in place Looking at the scene ."Helllo boys , what is going on ?" ,a deep voiced man came from behind. "Oh Good afternoon ,Mister Richards "says Ryan.Mister Richards is one of the members of the board of the school .He mostly never spoke to students but students had to wish him everytime they meet with members of board as a sign of courtasy .

Rex signals Ryan something and Ryan understood and asks something Mister Richards about a made up doubt about some up-coming . Giving Rex the few seconds he needed to collect sample of the green liquid .

Finally Mister Richards picks up the puppy and says,"Ohh poor soul , looks like it got hurt . No worries I will save him personally there is a pet doctor few minutes by car . "

"You students should also leave .Be safe and study well . You are future of our world after all."giving them a quite charming smile . "Sure "said Ryan, and started moving towards the gate .

As they were walking their eyes fell on a small bush in middle there were a few black roses with a little green liquid on its leaves didn't saw that but Ryan understood clearly what it meant.

' black roses with the same green liquid as that on the puppy surely something is not right '

[ I agree on that thought , nothing says death is coming like black roses ], says Impact .

'Guess we will just have to see it '
