Chapter 5

I woke up because of the gentle tap of a cloth on my body. Seems like someone is cleaning me. What the heck happened?

Oh my God!

I rose up from the bed just to see a woman wearing a white and black uniform. I realized that I have scared her but I didn't mean to do that, I was just surprised when I remembered what happened.

"Hi! I'm sorry for touching your body, It's just that I was told to.."

She said while her head was looking down.

"No, no it's fine. Nothing to worry about." I said as I look around the room.

Woah!

This room was huge! The bed is trice as my bed on our house. There were also cabinets,a study table, a beautiful couch and a huge window!

The walls were designed as vintage, the light is also adjustable. Is this their medical room or was this just a normal room?

"Where are we ma'am?" I asked as I walk away from the window. I tried to see what's outside but the sight only reminds me why I went here.

"You're in your personal room madam, your uniforms are now prepared here. For Mondays and Wednesdays, you will be wearing this."She said as she touched the black polo and a dress. I checked the dress only to see that it was slitted on its both leg side. It also comes with a short.

"For Tuesdays and Thursdays,you will be wearing this pants and this shirt."

"O-okay, thanks..." I said looking amazed.

"While you can wear anything between these uniforms on fridays and Saturdays. Your choice on where you're more comfortable with."

The woman left without telling me her name or what she does or what I ever need to know. I mean, I'm still confused with what is happening...

I sat on the edge of the bed trying to internalized everything. I need to get River as soon as possible, He may be hurt or something.

"You're up!" I looked at the door just to see the headmaster looking at me with his hands crossed on his chest.

"Why am I here already? In this room? I even have uniforms on my own, I don't have the money to pay for that!"

"You don't have to pay, because you'll be studying here for free... If you doesn't want to save your brother..."He said.

My eyes grew bigger when I heard what he said..

"How did you know? Will you help me?"

"The only person who could help you is yourself. Now, I am giving you the opportunity to enhance your abilities by staying here and when you get better and reach your highest level, you can now save him on your own."

"That's impossible! You know their clan is big, How could I even defeat all of them?!"

"Don't worry, I know this will be a fight between the 8 kingdoms and their kingdom, you will not be alone on this battle but you have to get him alone."He said as he walk towards the window.

"Fight between kingdoms?What do you mean?"

"They are looking for this kind of pearl, The black pearl. It is known to be powerful that when someone posseses it, will be the most powerful of them all."

Black pearl? I remembered hearing it when the black shadown warrior attacked near the boarder. They were looking for it.

"Black pearl huh..."I said in disbelief.

"We thought it was just a legend believed by the ancestors but it wasn't. No one has found it but I know it's real plus, why would the black shadow warrior go this far if it wasn't."

"But why do they need from River? Does he know anything?" I said out of my frustrations.

"I'm not sure yet, but What I know is that River has something to do with them." He said as he went straight to the door. He was about to open it but he stopped.

"Prepare for a battle. I know that the council will put you in the test to know your range of power and level of your ability." He continued and then left me without saying anything else.

I sat down on the edge of my bed again as the door of my room closes. The headmaster was right. I need to train harder to enhance my power.

I didn't even know that our kingdom will be facing chaos sooner or later so I have to get him alone. I have to save him with my own hands.

He was talking about some battle to test my power, what kind of battle? Who am I going to battling with?

It was thursday so I wore the shirt and the pants together with the boots that was given to me a while ago.

I looked at the mirror and I see myself as someone else. Who are you?

While checking myself out on the mirror someone knock on my door. I slowly walk towards it and opened it.

I saw the same guy who was with us on the Academy's gate last time. What was his name again? Morgan? Norgan?

"The council wants to see you now."

My eyes grew bigger as I heard that they wanted to see me now. I am not yet ready for what was about yo happen to me.

I can't even control my ice power well and now I have to battle to test it?!

I nodded and went out of the door. I followed him and stayed on his back. I was still amazed by the interior of the academy and I can't still believe that I am now inside.

He stopped infront of the huge door and as far as I can remember it's the same room where I was tortured. Guards opened it for him as he signal them with two fingers.

It was loud inside but the commotion stop when they saw us entered the room. I received judgements with their glare.

The way their eyes raised, I know they didn't want me to be here besides this was a place for elites and I am nothing compared to them. I looked down as this guy guided me towards the middle.

I know he was looking at me while walking but ai didn't expect to talk to me.

"You don't need to look down, My father never had  misjudgements. So, if he thinks you deserve to be here, then you deserve to be here." He said and left. Although he was telling something nice, the cold atmosphere around him didn't even left.

"So let's start."
