The Curse of The Twelve Witches

The surrounding went silent. There was not a single sound. The little girl was looking at Li Fei in a relaxed manner as if she knew her offer would surely be taken.

Li Fei's eyes widened when she heard the little girl's offer. As if a thunder had struck her, Li Fei just went extremely quiet. Her brain function just stopped. For a while, she just couldn't process the little girl's words. Then after a moment, she sobered up. There was a way out!

"So all along, I was right. This...isn't a natural cycle," she muttered then she looked at the little girl again, "Then, what is this?"

"A curse."

She looked up at the little girl in shock. "A curse? Who cursed me?"

The little girl nodded. "Yes. You are cursed and it's a very powerful and complicated one. It's called 'the curse of the twelve witches'. Like the name suggests, it is cast by twelve dark witches and each of them has to come from different coven that serves different lineage. In addition, their main attributes have to also be in different elements from one another. This is witches' ultimate incantation."

"And this is what caused me to be reincarnated over and over again?"

The little girl shook her head and began to explain, "That's not the main goal. The curse objective is to torture the victim. The cycle will happen twelve times and with each stage, the torment will be more vile than the previous. Its purpose is to attack the victim both mentally and physically which will lead to their soul deterioration, until the last stage where the victim's soul will eventually perish."

Li Fei's face went pale. She knew that her lives hadn't been easy. It was disastrous. However, she had never thought that it was in fact a curse and a vicious one.

Yes, she had been gone through many torments, punishments, and even being dismembered. She never mind it since she would be reincarnated anyway. But, she never thought there was a limit to it.

This was.... the truth. An unbearable truth that she had to face.

The little girl continued to ask, "In what stage are you now?"

Li Fei pursed her lips. She had actually never counted. But now that she thought about it. There were already a few times. She began recalling her old names. When she stopped, her face became paler and she clenched her fist tightly.

"This is the twelfth stage."

Upon hearing the answer, the little girl started giggling wickedly. In a mocking tone, she said, "How pitiful. It's actually the last stage, the dark element. No wonder..," the little girl's eyes scanned the dungeon.

While she scanned through the surroundings, the little girl fell into deep thoughts.

'This child had actually arrived at the last stage, but there was no sign of her soul being broken. How is it possible? Unless..'

The little girl's eyes returned her gaze at Li Fei again. Her ruby eyes shone and the dark veins around her eyes started to pump. If one looked closer, the dark substance seemed to move towards her sclerae as darkness began to shroud her whole eyes. They turned completely black. The dark fog around her legs rose up once again.

With her current eyes, she could penetrate through Li Fei outer layer body and directly scanned her inner organs, spiritual energy course, and her soul. When the little girl gaze fell upon Li Fei's soul, one corner of her lips was lifted upwards.

'I see. So, that's why.'

During the process, Li Fei stared at the little girl while she thought of what she said as well as her offer. She should take it, obviously, if she wanted to survive. Then again, there was something that confused her. 'Each stage the torment will be more vile than the previous?' But, she felt nothing and it was not that torturous to the point that she couldn't handle it.

Should she agree with this little girl? Wait a minute, that was not the issue now. First thing first, who...no! What was this girl? Looking at her, she was probably a demon, right? Then, could she trust her? But if not, she would end up dead.

Nope! Hell no! There was no way she would be dead because of a stupid curse. Li Fei clenched her fist and her blood began to boil. She couldn't accept this. She felt hatred and anger growing in her heart. Who the f*** put the curse on her? Moreover, why? She didn't even do anything wrong(?)

She would not die at their hands! Never! Not when she didn't even know the reason she was cursed and of course, not when she currently had a way out.

Li Fei laughed mockingly inside her heart. Fine, we should see who curse who in the next round! For now, she should deal with this demonic girl. No matter what, she had to get out of this damn cycle!

"Hey, Little Girl! Before we talk about your offer, what are you and how should I call you?" Li Fei boldly asked.

At this point, all her nervousness had disappeared. What was left was determination for revenge and her anger that could burst forth at any given moment.

Of course, the little girl could sense the emotional turbulence that Li Fei was currently experiencing. In fact, the hatred was the source of her nourishment. As she had already placed her interest in Li Fei, she decided to help her and slowly absorbed the hatred so that Li Fei could stay clear-headed.

With a smile on her face, the little girl answered, "I think you already know what I am and for my name...," she chuckled, "I have many names. How 'bout this, you create one for me."

Li Fei furrowed her eyebrows.

"Just tell me your name. Any one you have should not be a problem. Why bother creating a new one?"

The little girl chuckled, "You should create a distinct one to mark your ownership, since I'm going to serve you."

Huh?? What did she say?!

"W-What? Hahaha....I seem to have a problem with my hearing," Li Fei said while she laughed awkwardly.

"Well then, I shall repeat it for you, Master," she giggled before continuing, "You should create a distinct one to mark your ownership, since I'm going to serve you."

Li Fei's body instantly perked up. All the hair on her body stood up right away like a hedgehog. She felt goosebumps everywhere.

"What ownership are you talking about?! What master??"

The little girl tilted her head. "It's part of the offer, Master. This must be done in order for you to escape from the curse."
