The entire Western Courtyard was cloaked with impregnable silence as the sun slowly rose and bathed their figures with warm yellowish light.

The three other people in the western courtyard couldn't utter a single word in fear that if they did say something, it would only give them away or give hints that they were involved with the matter.

The young female in front of them didn't explicitly tell them anything that could point out that there was someone behind the vile intruder. She didn't even tell them if the vile intruder was tortured or questioned, and they couldn't bring themselves to ask either.

They were scared that if they did ask, they would only dig their own graves deeper.

However, at this point, both two madams realized that Lin Xiaomeng was willing to bare his claws out to them and the thin thread of patience he had for them was broken and they better not do anything that would make him point his blade to them.

Anxiety and fear crept up to their skins as what Lin Xiaofei had just said rang in their heads.

Swallowing down, Song Yan Yi smiled and said to the young female in front of her, "Fourth Miss, I know you wouldn't suggest something so cruel like this. You don't have to own this up. What would happen if someone from outside hears this and was spread across the Capital."

"We're the only ones in here, what is there to be spread around?" Lin Xiaofei interrupted her and turned to look at Steward Liu, "Aside from First and Second Aunt, steward Liu is the only outsider who didn't belong to my Lin family. Are you going to forget the master who feeds you and clothed you?"

Lin Xiaofei's smile broadened as she unabashedly stared at the old steward who shivered under that cold and manipulative eyes.

Steward Liu shook his head and was about to answer but he heard Lin Xiaofei's gentle voice.

"But then again, my reputation was never better. What's the difference if I added more absurd things on top of it?" Lin Xiaofei swept her eyes to them, it first landed on Wu Jing Yan to Song Yan Yi until it stopped at Steward Liu.

That's right. Lin Xiaofei's actions in the past were the joke that was discussed over tea parties and festival events. Her crude manner and arrogance surpassed that of the Royal family and was hated by everybody.

They loathed her for having that beautiful face that could topple men at the first sight of her and break the wooden stairs where tons of suitors would climb just to have her hand. If only she had the temperament of a young proper lady, anyone wouldn't stop at anything just to have her.

Suddenly, Lin Xiaofei walked past them and went to the front, near the hanged corpse. The smile on her face didn't disappear and instead, it raised a notch higher as her eyes curved like what she was seeing was extremely pleasing as if she was admiring a rare flower that only blooms once in a decade.

'They really don't show any mercy to their prey,' she thought as she observed the countless bite marks and bruises that deformed the once good-looking Ke Song.

Last night, after Ke Song fell unconscious, Lin Xiaofei went out of her courtyard and looked for a soldier employed under Lin Xiaomeng's personal guards. As a great general, Lin Xiaomeng has his own personal military soldiers posted spread across the Lin residence.

The soldiers in the Lin residence was only ordered to guard the whole place against intruders. However, they didn't get to check every single servant in the residence since it wasn't their job thus, Ke Song who was brought inside the residence in the pretense of being one of the new servants who will serve the masters in the residence got through the impenetrable cloister of the Lin family,

Ke Song was also able to familiarize the whole place and with the help of a guide, he was able to pass through the courtyard of Lin Xiaofei without any disturbance.

When Lin Xiaofei saw the soldier, the poor man was almost shocked to death when she arrived looking like an ethereal being who crawled out of the hole of the Underworld. Her dress was bloodied and crumpled into a mess but her peerless face was cold and splashes of freckle-like blood were plastered on her face.

After explaining to the soldier, Lin Xiaofei did not forget to threaten the poor soldier. Saying that it was his fault for having an intruder get in so easily and if Lin Xiaomeng found it out, his head would roll along with the intruder.

With those words, the poor soldier scampered and did what she told him to do.

First, she told him to send Ke Song to a brothel that sells male prostitute and where the customers were also males. And when the soldier heard that, he was beyond scared of Lin Xiaofei and profusely nodded his head.

Second, after the male guests were done playing with Ke Song, before dawn break, the poor soldier has to hang the body upside down on a beam of the Western Courtyard. He didn't know what was the purpose of this but still, he did as what he was told to do.

And lastly, after he was done hanging the corpse, he must make sure that several people witness the gruesome scene.

The poor soldier was too tired and didn't get a wink of sleep after he was done with his mission. He was so scared that someone would notice his movements last night but thankfully with his superb skill in martial arts, none of the other soldiers lurking around found him and stop him from doing an errand from the mistress of death he met last night.

Lin Xiaofei raised her hand and was about to touch the body when the three people behind her shouted to stop her.

"Young Miss!"

"Fourth Young Miss, wait!"

They were mortified when they saw her casually trying to touch the corpse-like it was nothing and at once, their doubts to what she claimed about suggesting such gruesome deeds vanished and proved how evil and ruthless she was.
