7 Second Madam, Song Yan Yi (II)

When the female servant finished speaking, she slowly raised her eyes and looked at the rumored Fourth Young Miss of the Lin family.

She was curious about this young miss that destroyed the reputation of the Lin family.

In front of her was a young girl just over sixteen or seventeen wearing a plain black dress that made her already white skin look even more white. However, it didn't make her look ghastly instead, it made her look like an ethereal being that descended from heaven. Lin Xiaofei's hair was tied into a simple bun with a single pin holding it in place while half of her hair was left to sway behind her back and along with her.

Her almond-shaped eyes were mystifying and the mole below her right eye made everyone who looks at it unable to avert their eyes.

It was said that the Fourth Young Miss of the Lin family was childish and stiff but upon seeing her up close, the female servant suddenly felt like she was looking up from a mountain full of sharp rocks she couldn't climb.

Where was the spoiled rotten young miss that everyone was speaking about?

The young lady in front of her was standing with her back straight and hands folded in front of her chest, the elegance she executed was hardly seen from any other young miss and even the other three Di daughters in the Lin family couldn't even get half of the elegance and grace she showed.

Lin Xiaofei saw the female servant observing her and didn't say anything.

She wanted to go out but she can't without Lin Xiaomeng's permission. She felt too stuffy and stiff for staying inside her room all week long and didn't have anything to do.

She saw the female servant's hesitation and the way she looked shocked when she saw her. Though she gets that kind of reaction often from the servants when she decided to leave her courtyard to walk in the main garden but the number of shock expressions she received should be decreasing.

After Lin Xiaofei's condition got slightly improved and much to all of the servants' shock, she started to go out to the main garden and relax there.

They all hadn't seen her coming out to the main garden and only isolated herself in her courtyard for three years and everyone got used to not seeing her. However, it seems that their Fourth Young Miss had a change of heart and was ready to go out of her shell.

"How long has grandfather gone to see the guests? Will it take him long?" Lin Xiaofei asked.

"This servant doesn't know how long it would take but the Old Master's expression looked dark when he left."

Lin Xiaofei sighed. Does she need to wait for him to return? Lin Xiaofei didn't think so. Although she's inside Lin Xiaofei's body, she didn't have any desire to be close to another person and act differently for the sake of not being found.

The real Lin Xiaofei was unfeeling, spoiled, and arrogant. This type of characteristic was perfect for Xiaofei and her plans.

Seeing that it would take Lin Xiaomeng a while to return, Lin Xiaofei decided to leave but as soon as she turned, she saw the Second Madam standing not far away from them.

"Is Fourth Miss already ready to leave?" Song Yan Yi gently smiled at her.

"Yes, Grandfather's not here." Lin Xiaofei simply replied and was about to walk away and not be bothered with her when she hard the other speak.

"Fourth Miss must not be too anxious to leave. Father just met the Chu family's First Madam and it probably has something to do with you." Song Yan Yi walked and sat in one of the chairs and had one of her maids serve her a hot tea.

In just a short time, the table in front of Song Yan Yi had a pot of tea and lotus snacks on it. Her maid's hands were meticulous as they did their job and from Lin Xiaofei's eyes, they made it look like Song Yan Yi was the master and she was just a mere young lady without power.

Song Yan Yi's words caught Lin Xiaofei's attention and thus, she also didn't immediately try to say some words against her. She wanted to know what purpose did the Chu family have in the Lin Residence that even Lin Xiaomeng's face became ugly.

As far as she remembered, the Chu family was with the Third Prince's Faction and had a steady position in the imperial court. They were also one of the prestigious families in the Zheng empire and had a quiet reputation in the common people for being helpful.

However, Yu Fangzhu once told her about the Chu family's secret.

The Chu family did help the commoners but they also did something that was bone-chilling worthy that when she first heard it from Yu Fangzhu's mouth, she couldn't stop from gasping in shock and felt that the Chu family was two-faced.

Seeing that a rare Lin Xiaofei who wanted to listen to her words just stood there and didn't make a fuss. Lin Xiaofei looked like she was very interested in whatever she's about to say.

Song Yan Yi raised an eyebrow, "Does Fourth Miss truly doesn't know why the Chu family is here?"

"I wouldn't be wasting my time being in the same room as you if I knew." The coldness and her tone were as clear as crystal.

The rudeness of her words made Song Yan Yi's maids angrily look at her. They never like Lin Xiaofei in the first place but this kind of tone as if she was treating their female master without any shed of respect was very insulting.

Song Yan Yi also felt this but she didn't show her discontentment to Lin Xiaofei like her maids.

"Then, I hope that the Fourth Miss would wash one's ears and listen." Song Yan Yi said, "The Chu family didn't come to merely greet Father but also, to break the engagement that will tie both families."
