The first thing Adaora did when she walked into her office on the 30th was to call Stacy, her assistant. The younger lady who assisted her came in with mixed feelings, her eyes unsteady, her fingers shaking, nervously waiting for the other shoe to drop. Adaora stared at her through hooded eyes, realising that she couldn't really blame her assistant for being skeptical of her sudden mood.
