"You didn't know!" Gloria exclaimed, her eyes widening in shock and disbelief.

Abigail shook her head.

"Rachel never told you about your biological parents! How cruel she is."

Gloria's disbelief turned to rage as she considered the likelihood that Rachel had purposefully kept Abigail in the dark about her biological parents. Suspicion crept into her mind, and she wondered if Rachel had kidnapped baby Abigail for money.

"No, Mom… She wasn't cruel." Abigail immediately defended Rachel. "She was the most kind-hearted and loving mother I ever had. To me, she was my mother. Yes, I love my real mom, but I will never forget Rachel Mom."
