7 Papi, you know you can tell me anything

It had been about a week since the incident with that Xavier. She had forgotten about him and his stupid deal. She wasn't going to accept it anyway, she had to because of other major things.

She was busy, especially with the fact that she had gotten a new Job at a big company as the P.A to the CEO  of Red Records. She had started working there already and seemed to love her job and her coworkers .

It was her first time working in a company especially that big. Yes, she did graduate with a first class in business administration and management but she never thought it would be useful for her, she needed to have a major in college and luckily for her this was what came to mind.

She was devoted to becoming a renowned singer and business, that is, working in a company like this was going to give her more opportunities then who was she to change the hands of her destiny.

She remembered the day she had told her family about her job, they were do happy for her.

   Lyric's POV

She was in her office settling some company issues and paperwork when she got a phone call. She was picky when it came to picking up calls in the office. And she only picks up calls if they're important.

The screen of her phone displayed "PAPI " . she was supposed to see the name, she had stored her dad's contact with. It must be important cos she remembered that she told her family and Mimi, even Serayah (this was because serayah had called her when she was in a meeting with her boss and other company officials, only to ask her for where the t.v remote was), not to call her during work hours.

She picked the call when the first thing she heard was a sob, she was terrified because the only time she ever heard her dad cry was when her mom had died.

"Hello... Papi?... Are you crying?!..." She said  in a low and calm voice.

"Oh, no I wasn't, I caught a cold, I didn't know you had picked the call" he replied trying to cover up.

"Dad, is something wrong?" She said again still using a calm voice to speak to him.

"No nothing, I just missed you" he retorted, still sniffling. That's when she knew something was really wrong cos her dad  was never the cry baby type.

"Papi, you know you can tell me anything right?, you promised  to always tell me if something was wrong, then why aren't you telling me" she said, also starting to cry.

"Dad, you said you'd always be happy, so we can also be happy, but you're making me really sad by not telling me what's wrong". She continued, this time crying fully, she was very emotional especially when her dad was sad, she had seen and watched her dad cry for months after her mom had died. She didn't want to experience it again. Before she could say anything she heard the worst news ever.

    "Sing has cancer..."
