37 Chapter 37: Splintered Heart

Ryan watched Lia sleeping next to him. She was smiling slightly in her sleep. He found himself smiling. This was a picture he could wake up to every day.

The sunlight slowly poured into the bedroom and onto the bed. This caused Lia to shift and flutter her eyelids.

“Good morning, Mrs. Nash!” Ryan said.

“Umm, good morning, Mr. Nash,” Lia responded groggily before grabbing a pillow and covering her face.

“Why are you hiding your face?” Ryan asked.

“I am sure I look a mess and have morning breath,” Lia spoke into the pillow.

Ryan laughed and pulled the pillow from her. He bent down and kissed her slowly and sweetly.

“Umm, you’re right, massive morning breath!” Ryan laughed.

Lia grabbed the pillow from him and playfully hit him with it before getting up. She wrapped herself in a sheet and made her way to the bathroom.
