22nd floor, the floor where I will work from now on.

I headed out from the elevator with both of my hands holding a box full of work utilities.

I kept walking until I found the room with the sign 'Vice President', I peeked through the window and saw no one in there. I put my things on the unoccupied desk which is outside and directly faces that huge room. Lots of used empty coffee cups, scattered papers, and lots of rubbish that you wish you didn't know the details were laying on my new desk. I can't help cleaning it as soon as I arrive. After almost an hour, The desk was much neater, the surface was seen now and I could finally sit comfortably.

Just seconds after I put my pretty butt in this lovely chair, a tall man with an extremely good looking face and messy hair walked in. His height was almost as tall as that not too tiny door. From my seat, I could smell his woody-sweet fragrance when he was walking past my desk, he took a short glance at me and kept walking to the Vice President room. My legs automatically stood up, because I realized that he is the vice president, or else why would he enter the room like nothing?

He didn't bothered to close the door, it made me can see the whole layout of his office, and how he laid on the sofa as soon as he arrived,

"Where's Val?" With eyes closed he asked, we haven't even introduced ourselves and yet he asked about other people, it made me not want to answer his question.

I felt that I need to introduce myself and so I was walking to enter his room, "Who said you can come here?" At this close distance, I could see his chest that didn't have any cover because he unbuttoned his shirt until the third one.

"My name is Cora Davis, and i'm the new Vice President's assistant" my introduction made him open his eyes, and glared at me.

"I don't need a new assistant. Moreover, you aren't suitable to be my assistant"

"How about you? Who are you?" again, without giving any response for his later comment, i was asking his name.

"I know you know who I am, to become someone's assistant, you surely must able to read right?" His jaw shortly pointed to the huge name sign of his in his desk.

"Really? Wow… what a surprise, you aren't suitable to be the vice president at all" I took my revenge by said what he said to me.

"How dare you say that to your boss in your first day"

"Actually you aren't quite right about that, i'm working here not only to be your new assistant."

"But I'm also your mentor" I gave my 'friendly' smile.

"A mentor that is kind enough to assist her peer" He surely didn't expect that at all, His eyebrows raised and his eyes enlarged but suddenly he changed his expression to be angry. Instead of making me scared, the look on his face was kinda weird, and it almost made me burst out laughing.

He looked overly shocked and got up the sofa, took his phone from his trousers pocket and dialed someone

"What is happening in my office? What did you do to Val?"

"And this girl, Why did this crazy girl claim to be my mentor?"

This big beautiful man was ranting off at the person on the other end of the phone, I was able to examine his face more properly this time, His thick straight eyebrows that becomes curved as he thinks, his thin lips that still busy talking, and his veins on his arm that holding that phone, the phone looks so little between his large grasp. I wonder how it feels to hold that hand– FOCUS CORA, that's your boss! Please behave.

No matter how hot he is, remember that this is your new workplace. You have to be professional, besides he is not even your type, Cora. You always prioritize the brain and the personality of a man above his looks, right?

You know best that this type of guy isn't suitable for you, the youngest son of one of the richest families in the country and not to mention that the rumor said he is famous for being a party boy and dates all women in his area.

"Why would I need someone to watch me? Especially people like her?"

"No, no, no, I don't care what you said, mom. I will take care of this by myself. Bye" He hung up the phone, and began to take a proper look at me from my height to toe. I did not feel comfortable because of his sharp gaze. I felt weirdly embarrassed, like I'm naked or something.

"I don't care how my mother hired you, but you should looking for another job cause I'll terminate the contract"

"It's not your mother who hired me, It's Mr. Kusuma, Adam Kusuma"

From the look on his face, I knew now he couldn't do anything when I said that name.

Surely He can not give any complaints, or even ranted like what he did just now with his mother.

"My task is to assist your work, and to teach you how to be the proper leader and Vice President"

He shook and put his hand above his head, "Also, I have to report all your improvement or even your decline, and it will determine if you will stay in this position or not."

"So it's not you who decides whether I'll have this job or not. But I, I am the one who will decide if you can keep yours or not"

His face looked like my red lipstick, especially his ears were the same color as his face, similar to a cooked crab.

Now that he was not able to say anything anymore, I decided to let him have some time alone and left his room to walk to my own desk.

This little hearted but BIG body boy looked so confused and annoyed at the same time, he just stared blankly sitting at his sofa.

I began to see my to-do lists on my first day, Axel's schedule, and read the documents and works one by one which his old assistant used to manage.

Axel got up from his sofa, and walked a couple steps towards me but stopped at his door.

"Don't think that everything will go like you want here" after saying that, he slammed the door with all he got. The sound was so loud, I bet that everyone on this floor could hear it.

"What a jerk," I sighed.

I shook my head and continued to focus on my work. "My new boss is a jerk."

At lunch, I went to the company's cafeteria alone. It's never easy for me to adapt quickly especially in friendships, I'm the type who took a long time to get to know someone, but when i found my people, it will last so long

"That must be the new assistant"

"She looks so different with the last one, she looks somewhat too tidy to be his assistant"

"You said that because the last one doesn't look like an office worker, she looks like an adult magazine model"

"I hear that the vice president yelled at her, she must be hired by the president"

"I'm envy her, she will be always together with Mr Hot"

I ate my meal while listening to the music of other employees' chatter. At this level of loudness, I think they do that intentionally so I will be able to hear them, and maybe they wish that I'll say something that will entertain them, but I have no energy to give them any attention. So here I am, sitting alone in the corner of the cafeteria chewing my meal without talking to anyone.

What they said though was kinda true, my new boss, Axel Kusuma was actually Hot, too hot to be a vice president. Especially for his height, It is no joke, I only saw him walking for a bit but I can tell from those long legs that Axel was about 190 cm. His hazel eyes still look mesmerizing under his morning messy hair, his jaw edge looked like a straight line. Rather than a vice president of a big company like Suma Group, his visuals are more suitable to be a famous actor.

Yes, He is extremely good looking, but proudly I can say that I don't feel a thing at all and not planning to be. He looks like he has nothing inside, a nerd humble man was still the most hot looking human for me, and it's totally not Axel. I still can't say much about his intelligence because I just met him once.

But one thing that I concluded from our first meeting this morning is that his personality is such a trash, and he only got the position because he is the youngest son of Tony Kusuma, we can say that he doesn't earn his position on his own.

Just like what I said to Axel earlier, my job is only to assist but I have to turn him into a fine Vice President for this company. It was extremely hard to make sure that boy will become a decent man that is able to lead this big corporation.

More than tens of thousands of employees were working under Suma Group. I know very well how heavy the responsibility that this job has, and that is why we have to do well so we don't ruin other people's lives.

When I got back to my desk to continue my work, I realized that Axel's room was empty. I couldn't see him anywhere, but I didn't give it another thought and just continued sorting the documents because I was sure that he would come back in a bit, but I was wrong. I didn't see him for four hours after that, and now it was time for me to go home.

I turned off the monitor, and kept the documents in the drawer. Suddenly the footsteps of people were heard and it sounded closer, coming towards this room.

Here he was, but there was a woman walking behind him, a fine woman that usually we see on the cover of magazines

"Where were you all day?"

Ignored my words, Axel held her hands and just walking passed me to enter his room

"Is this your office?" This woman with a flashy outfit and bold makeup was looking around excited about what she saw, but still somehow she acted like she didn't see me, like I was invisible.

"Yes, and you can do whatever you like here" Axel said with a super gentle tone.

"I love it, it's spacious! Should I do the dance that you liked yesterday?"

Ass! Where do they think they are?

I can't stand this anymore, without realizing it I have grabbed his door knob before he could close it.

Still trying to play it cool, I asked "Axel, where were you?"

He frowned and was still holding the door knob on his side. "What did you call me?"

Is it that hard to just answer me?

"Axel Dean Kusuma! You can't just go and come from your work as you please"

"I'm the Vice President, and yet you called me by my name?

"Where's your respect for your supervisor?" He snapped at me, Wow. He still thought that he deserved my respect after what he has done today?

"If you want to get respected as Leader in this company, then act like one" I pushed the door until it closed, grabbed my bag and gave an angry glance towards him who opened the door again. I can't describe the look of his face, and I don't care, but his women looked offended though

While I was walking to the elevator, I could hear that woman was saying something but for one more time I didn't care.

By taxi I went to an address that was sent to me last night. I have an appointment with another Kusuma and now I'm heading to His house.

During the ride, my mind was still on the office. What the hell was he thinking about bringing a woman and doing inappropriate things in his office when he didn't even work properly.

I already prepared so much for today, for his first day. I have planned so he can learn more about his responsibility in this company, but the way he acted ruined it all.

When the taxi arrived, I got down from the taxi. I looked around, this is the most prestigious housing area that I've ever gone to. I'm in awe, without i realized my mouth made shape 'O'

The house or more like a mansion, is colored beige and brown with the blue roof above it. The mansion has a huge garden all over the front yard. Exquisite cars from many expensive car brands were neatly parked.

Big fish ponds with a victorian water fountain built in the middle of the garden, and the stairs were made from white stone, I'm sure it was so expensive.

I just walked for about three steps when a middle aged man approached me, "Miss Davis?"

"Yea..yeah, I'm Cora Davis"

"Please follow me" He walked ahead of me to the stairs, I followed him slowly so I could see the garden view longer.

He pushed the two glass-wood doors, held the door for me, As I entered, I couldn't help but marvel at its beauty. The marble floors gleamed under the light of a large chandelier, with patterns that seemed to dance as the light hit them. You could tell just by looking that the marble was special, likely brought in from far away.

The living room had really high ceilings and it connected to the second floor. The walls and even the ceilings were decorated with detailed carvings, its Victorian style craving. A grand black piano stood in the middle of the living room.

I was captivated by the warmth and care that went into creating this home. Despite its grandeur, it still felt cozy—a place where the Kusuma family must have shared countless memories.

The man was walking through until we were reaching the back of the mansion, another garden was located here. I recognized an old man that I met when I was 17, He was with a beautiful middle aged woman. They were talking about something until they saw that I had arrived.

"Miss Davis, you grew so much"

I gave a little nod with a polite smile towards him and the woman who was with him. He is the grandfather of Axel and the founder of Suma Company, Adam Kusuma.

"It's nice to meet you again Mr. Kusuma" He was still the same just like what i remembered, his thick eyebrows made him look fierce but under those eyebrows he had warm brown eyes. He was still handsome and his build was sturdy like he used to be, he must take care of himself well.

"Here is my daughter in-law, Veronica Stanley."

"She is Axel's mother" She nodded her head a little and sipped her tea.

"And here is Cora Davis, the girl that i talked about earlier"

"Nice to meet you mam" I gave my faint smile to her. I can see Axel's features in her, the high bridge nose, the thin lips, and the kind eyes. Yes you heard my right, actually Axel has kind eyes, but it's only his eyes.

The awkwardness filled the garden because there was no one who opened their mouth.

"So, how is your first day Miss Davis?"

"It is actually great sir, Even though it needed many improvements but I'm sure we'll make it somehow"

"And you can call me Cora"

"Can you specify what improvements are needed?"

"Sure, from the system in place, there isn't any clear work system, also the scheduling is still messy. And the vice president really needs to learn more about his responsibility and his actual task,"

"But because he often missed his schedules too, I think we can start with that."

"Other than that, He needs to learn more about discipline, manners and how to lead people." I explained bluntly cause I think they should know how was Axel in work

"How rude you are, saying things like that about your boss"

"I just answer it with based what I saw mam, I hope you don't take it personal"

I looked into her eyes, "I prioritized the company needs, to be a vice president that will be useful to the company. He really need to change"

"So you said that my son is useless?'

"Vero stop, I agree with Cora. Axel still needs to learn more, if the changeness is needed just like what she said that means Axel really has to change." Mr. Kusuma mediated

Great, now his mother despises me. What actually she expected me to say? Saying only good things about his son? No benefit for me to say this stuff actually, but I did that because he really needs to be better. I'm the one who desperately wishes that your son would be a great leader, so then my work would be easier.

"What is your plan to make him better?"

I opened my bag, and took the papers that I had prepared in the office. "Here is my plan, and also materials that I will use"

Mr. Kusuma read the papers carefully for a couple minutes, his head nodding a little bit.

"Okay, I like how you quoted my books here." He put down the paper, "But because I know Axel well, to make this happens you need one more thing"

"Can you mention it to me?" I opened my note app on the phone, prepared to write things that he will say to me.

"Love, you need to add some love," Said Mr Kusuma.

My eyebrows furrowed as a sign that I needed further explanation. "Here's the deal so you can understand," He looked so serious, if anyone saw us they would think that we were at an important business meeting, for me it is, but for them it is a family issue.

"If you can make him fall in love to you, I will raise your pay to be 10 times more"

"I can guarantee you that to succeed Axel needs to fall in love with you" He added, the way he said it, He was surely confident about this task.

"Father!" The shout came from this beautiful woman in front of me.

Axel's mother looked so pissed up, "It actually solves our problem too, Vero, remember how you mentioned that you are worry because Axel always play around" Mr. Kusuma tried to explain calmly

"If he really fell in love with Cora, he won't be playing around again. He will be a fine man"

I still tried to grasp what I just heard, Me? An ordinary office employee needs to make her boss fall in love? More ever He is not just a boss, He is Axel Kusuma. A spoiled rich boy that knows nothing.

"Sir, I know I am capable of teaching him without having to date him" I said that with a sureness.

"No, I know you're more than able. But your peer is Axel. You met him today, and you know that he is not the same as the other supervisor you had, right? His personality is something else" Even his own grandfather said that,

"And also, we think that now is the time for Axel to be a leader. He is the second line after his older brother. So he needs to be prepare more into a respectable leader" Mr. Kusuma explanation kinda made a sense to me now

"Please help us Cora." Mr. Kusuma made a wish to me.
