Two Years Later

Two Years Later

"So where do you want to buy a place?" Ady asked.

"I called Skylar. He knows someone from the Majesty. He'll be here in a few minutes." She said, making Ady roll her eyes.

Ady was very vocal on her thoughts about Skylar. She never trusted him.

"It's been two years Ady. You should at least give him a little of your trust."

"Nope. You do that. It's best if one of us is always on guard. As I said before, he's your half-brother so I won't ask you to keep your distance."

Ady was against her decision to trust Skylar, but she needed all the help she could get. She contacted Skylar a week after they met at the wedding. And the first thing she asked was money.

At first, she just wanted to move on and continue with her everyday life. But she couldn't forget what happened to her in just a short time because she felt like everything was planned.

Skylar said that he had some information that he was willing to share in exchange for cooperating with each other.

"Skylar, this is Ady. She's my friend."

The first time she introduced Ady to Skylar, they already hated each other.

"To be clear, I don't like you and I don't trust you either." Ady glared at Skylar.

"I think the feeling is mutual."

It's been like that for the past two years. And even though Skylar helped her a lot, Ady still didn't trust him.

"Sorry, I'm late! My boyfriend's car broke so I had to bring him to the university."

"Oh, your good for nothing boyfriend? That's not new!" Ady clicked her tongue.

"Shut up!"

Mia shook her head. "Will you two stop? We're here to discuss our plan so can we start?"

"Yeah, go on." Ady nodded, but still sounded so pissed.

She took a sigh as she crossed her legs before handing the two an envelope.

"That's the new restaurant of Sabrina. She invited a lot of popular people to its grand opening. It's two days after President Myers' party. I have to be in there, Sky."

Skylar nodded. "Sure. I'll see what I can do."

"Ady, I need you to check the chef she hired and get the contact number."

"Copy that."

"How about Ruby?" Skylar asked.

She frowned. "What about her?"

"You didn't read my email. She's been hanging out lately with Sabrina."

"I told you I don't have enough reason to make a move on her. She may be the cause of my expulsion, but that's it. I need more than that."

Skylar's decision to help her was because of his hatred toward his sister, Ruby. Being gay was one of the reasons he was abandoned by his parents and that was because of Ruby.

Mia didn't know exactly what happened, but he said Ruby forced their parents to pressure him on getting married. He was beaten up by Harry Grayson because Ruby would tell lies about him.

He left the Grayson Mansion when he was only sixteen, and had been supporting himself by working as a part-time hair stylist and a full-time vlogger.

He was at Nicholas' wedding because he was hired as an assistant hair stylist for Sabrina.

"Fine. I'll get more information about her. For now, let's focus on getting you a new place." Skylar answered.

"If you want to live at the Majesty, we have to go there now. They opened five units today."

The Majesty—one of the most expensive residential places in the country. Only those who could pay upfront could own a house in that place. But even if you got the money, a selection would be done after a thorough screening.

She took a deep breath as Skylar drove them to the Majesty. She wouldn't deny the fact that one of her dreams was to live in a mansion. And now that she's just a step away from being an owner of one of the biggest houses in the country, she couldn't hide her excitement.

"I hope we can get one for you. The house is perfect for you and Nicholas." Ady commented.

Skylar chuckled. "The way you said it is too funny. She's the mistress, not the wife."

Ady rolled her eyes. "Exactly. That's what mistresses have, right? They have their own house, car, and business. Everything the wife has, you should have it. Or more than what she has."

"I think for the first time, I agree with you." Skylar nodded.

The two laughed. But she still wondered if she needed more than a house. The card Nicholas gave her had no spending limit so she didn't have to work anymore. Still, there was a part of her that she wanted to be more than a gold digging mistress.

"Hey Mia, after the house, we should get you a car. I can't be your driver forever." Skylar complained.

"I'm still your older sister. You shouldn't complain. Besides, I want you two to live with me." She mumbled, making the two surprised.

Ady's eyes widened. "Really? Oh my!"

"Hey sis, I'm thankful that you're considering it. But I live with my boyfriend."

Mia sighed deeply. "I'll ask Nick if your boyfriend can live with us. Byron is a good guy so I think he'll agree."

She noticed Ady became quiet and had some wrinkles on her forehead.

"What is it, Ady?"

"You haven't told us your plan about the club. You know Mama would not allow us to leave that place. My debt hasn't been paid."

"We'll pay for it using Nicholas' money. I know it's not mine, but I really want us to get out of there. I don't want you to sleep with other men anymore."

"I'm not sure if they will agree with it." Ady sighed.

She wasn't really sure if the owner of the club would allow them to buy their freedom, but she had to try. And if they won't allow it, there's another way that she had in mind—buy the club.
