15 First Kiss

Mia looked at Sabrina Hale on the internet. She was the thirty-nine year old daughter of Benjamin Hale, the CEO of Hale Airline.

The company was recently acquired by Nicholas and the media speculated that a wedding was already being prepared for the couple.

"So that's the company he just bought. But isn't ten million a little low?" She wondered.

"Are you stalking the fiance?" Ady giggled.

She rolled her eyes. "I'm just curious. She's older than him."

"That's because she's the fiance of his elder brother."

She nodded. "Yeah, I know. But there's something in her that bothers me."

"What? Like insecurity?" Ady laughed.

"I'm not insecure! Why would I? She has money, but without it, I don't think men will like her." She pouted, making Ady laugh louder.

"But it's weird. Nicholas has been visiting the club for more than a year and this is the first time his fiance showed up." Jean commented.

The two glanced at each other and smiled at her.

"Hey, how about stealing Nicholas from that woman?" Ady grinned.

"What? No! Period!"

Her friends kept on teasing her, but at that time, she just wanted Nicholas to be his first. She wouldn't dare to steal him from another woman. She wouldn't want to be like her mother—a mistress.

"Lia, Mr.Hudson is here to see you." Mama called her.

She wondered why he came to visit again. The date of their first night was a few days away, so she was expecting to see him on that day.

"Can I ask why you're here?"

He came straight to his room again, just like the first time he visited her.

"I just want to see you. You're free, right?" He asked.

She nodded. "Yeah. Mama said to rest until our–. You know."

"I see. Then let's go."

"Go where?"

"I want to go somewhere and I need someone to accompany me. I already told Matilda so don't worry, I got your permission."

She still couldn't believe that she had the chance to get away from that place even for a moment. They had been traveling for almost an hour but the road they took was breathtaking.

The path ahead was on the edge of a mountain. Nicholas lowered the roof of his car so she could see the view. She captured a glimpse of the white sandy beaches and she smelled the scent of greenery as the pine trees on the other side of the road danced with the wind.

"Where are we going?"

"It's right ahead. You'll see." He smiled.

Her eyes were shining with excitement and her heart skipped a beat seeing him smile at her.

At the top of the hill, she was surprised to see a beautiful mansion overlooking the ocean. She looked at Nicholas who had a plastered smile on his face.

"Is this your house?" She asked.

"Just one of them. But my favorite so far." He said.

A gorgeous entrance welcomed them with its gleaming and huge door. The spacious living room was furnished with white and black. Two rocking chairs were sitting beside a crackling fireplace and she was thinking that it was a good place to read her favorite books.

She could watch the sunset from the glass walls while having coffee or tea on the huge balcony.

"Do you like it?" He asked.

"Yes. This place is amazing!" She exclaimed.

"I'm glad."

"But why did you bring me here?"

They were at the balcony, having meals prepared by Nicholas' kitchen maids.

"I don't know. Maybe, just to talk. Your smile, I like it."

"Thank you. I love this place. Before my mom died, we lived in a rural area. She never wanted to live in the city."

"Your mom was a model, right?"

She nodded. "Yes. I had no idea about her to be honest until I turned sixteen. All I knew was my father's name."

She flicked a nervous glance at him when he took her hand. She noticed a strange gleam in his eyes as he stared at her.

"Nick?" She whispered in a soft voice.

"What's your name?" He asked.

"M–My name?"

"Everyone in the club calls you Lia."

"Oh! You can call me Mia. My mom gave me that nickname."

She snatched her hand gently and then stood up to watch the sunset. Her heart was beating so fast and she was worried that Nicholas would hear its loud thumping.

But keeping a distance from him didn't work. She was startled when he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her from behind.

"I don't know why I feel at peace when I'm with you. We're totally strangers." He whispered, burying his face to her neck.

She felt a sudden jolt of electricity running through her body as his warm breath caressed her skin.

"Are you scared of me?"

She shook her head. "No. But it'll be my first time and everything else is a first for me. I–I don't know how I should react."

"Just be yourself. And don't worry, I'll be gentle."

She let out a soft moan when he nibbled her ear. He then turned her around so she could face him. The strange gleam on his eyes that she saw earlier was his strong desire to touch her.

She bit her lip and glanced at him playfully. He danced his gaze over her and without a word, slowly bent forward to taste her lips.

Mia didn't move and when Nicholas' face was just a few inches away, she closed her eyes.

His lips moved gently and slowly, savoring the taste of Mia's lips. He pulled her by the waist, pressing her body toward his. And she didn't realize that her hands moved on their own, clinging them around his neck.

How could a kiss feel so good? She thought inwardly. It was just a simple kiss but her knees were already shaking. So he held her tight to support her from falling.

But he wasn't satisfied with it. When she felt his tongue brushing through her lips, wanting to force itself inside her mouth, it was the moment she realized she had reached the point of no return.
