Susanne called me later that day

"When and where are we meeting?" She asked

"Maybe another day"

"Why?"

"I have somewhere that I'm going to this evening"

"With Jake?" She asked

"Yeah"

"Can't you just summarize everything for me on the phone?"

"I wish I could but he's now home"

"Are you sure you're okay?"

"I am. I will talk to you later"

I hung up the phone and rushed to the bathroom to clean up my messed up face

"Candace" Jake called when he entered the house "where are you?"

"I'm in the bathroom, preparing for the party"

"Okay. Why weren't you picking up your phone when I was calling you?"

"Because I wasn't there"

"Have you taken anything this afternoon?"

"No"

I changed into a nice gown, applied a light makeup and headed out of the room

Wow, I thought as I sniffed in a delicious smell as I headed to the sitting room

Jake was sitting at the head of the dinning table, waiting for me, I guessed

"You're dressed?" He asked

"You can clearly see that"

"You look hot in that but I bought you a new dress on my way home, it on the bed. Go check it out when we're through here. I'm starving"

"I'm okay in this"

"It's more suitable for where we're going"

"Rich people and their problems" I murmured and sat down to eat

"Where did you get this?" I asked

"On my way home. I know you will be hungry"

"Three thousand dollars!" I screamed when I saw the price tag on the gown. Jake was in the closet changing his outfit.

"Babe, what is it?"

"Three thousand dollars!"

"Is it too small? Should we get a more expensive gown?"

"Never mind"

I put on the dress in the bedroom and went to the garage to wait for Jake, who was taking too much time on dressing up

"I'm sorry for delaying us" he said when he finally showed up

He was looking extremely hot tonight, I wouldn't deny it but I wouldn't be filling his ego by telling him that.

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes "Which car are we taking?"

"This"

Our car was welcomed to the party by paparazzi and I became scared. I hated cameras and Jake knew that.

I felt Jake's hand on my thigh and I looked at him

"I'm here with you" he said

"You know I hate cameras"

"I'm sorry"

"You aren't"

He took something out of his inner pocket and handed it to me

"Take. I know you won't like it if I kneel down and give it to you in public"

I checked what he gave to me and it turned out to be an engagement ring

"What!?" I asked shockingly "I have to put this on?"

"Treat me like a king in front of the camera babe" he pleaded sadly

"Just for the night" I said and put the ring on

"Thank you" he smiled and stepped out of the car to open the door for me

"Mr Black! Mr Black!" I heard the paparazzi screaming when I stepped out of the car. The light were blinding and I tried to smile to the camera.

Jake closed the car door and held my hand

"Mr Black what can you say about the new product you're working on?" A lady asked but Jake ignored her

"Mr Black, who is this lady by your side?" A man asked and Jake replied within microseconds

"She is my fiancee"

They all gasped and I almost turned red.

"When have you been dating?" A lady asked but Jake ignored her

"Isn't that your secretary Mr Black?" Another lady asked

"Yes, she is. She still is but she is also my fiancee, the love of my life"

He kissed me after saying this and I kissed him back.

He moaned into my mouth and pulled me closer to him. And we were like that for almost three minutes
