CHAPTER 19: GOLDEN FINGER 3

She used to use adult pampers and urinary catheters. Mostly, by the time she would press the bell to call either Ava or Emma, the deed would be done.

It was simply embarrassing for her, but after drinking the spring water, her immune system seemed to be healed.

She no longer had issues with urinating or defecating. Whenever she felt like doing either of the two, she would press the bell and receive the help that she needed.

Those two issues had been the greatest problems for her. She couldn't go anywhere, as anything could happen at any time. The thought of pooping at an event as if she was a toddler, she didn't want to have anything to do with that.

Although she wasn't fully healed, she could tell that she was getting somewhere.

Even the time that she spent without the oxygen mask was increasing.

During the one month she was recuperating and waiting for the book to be in use again, she had her second sister to make the RVs for her. As long as she was healed, traveling would be easy, and she had a feeling that she might be doing so in the future, so she prepared herself.

Fortunately, her preparations were of use as when she finally asked the questions that had been weighing her for a long time, the answers she received proved that.

Q: Am I really sick or there is something spiritual happening to me?

Since they couldn't find anything regarding her illness, Zara was curious. If it was a disease, then she would accept her loss, but if it was a spiritualist, she wouldn't allow anyone to mess with her life for whatever reason there may be.

A: You are cursed with an ancient curse.

When Zara heard that answer, she was stunned that she hadn't talked for a long time. She just couldn't fathom why she would be cursed with an ancient curse of all curses.

After years of seeing doctors and spiritualists, Zara's knowledge when it comes to illnesses and the spiritual world was quite wide.

She understood how scary the majority of ancient curses were. In the modern day, those curses were extinct, with most of them having no way of solving them.

How the heck was she going to deal with it?

However, she didn't dare to be rash in asking. Every question was golden, and she needed to get vital information that could help her right now instead of dealing with something that might kill her more quickly than intended.

So, she asked the question.

Q: I know that there is a process I need to follow if I want to resolve the curse. What is the first step that I need to take?

Zara wasn't a fool. She also understood that there would be no way she would be given the whole answer on a silver platter. So instead of doing trial and error while wasting a chance, she might as well be clever about it and do it one step at a time.

A: Go to Lingren village and find one of the relics that was used in the curse.

Below the answer, an old photo of the ring was shown. Looking at the ring, Zara's heart started beating wildly, and goosebumps appeared all over her skin.

She could sense immense fear towards the ring by just looking at the photo. What would happen if she sees it with her eyes in the future?

As for the last question, it was more of an emergency one. At least she wouldn't dare leave home without having some assurance. So, although her question might have seemed to be a waste, Zara never regretted asking it.

Q: How long do I need to take before I retrieve the ring?

A: You can take as much time as you want, but remember that the spring water isn't a solution to your problems. It will only help you extend your life for a while. A time will come when it will be of no use, so use your time wisely.

She didn't understand why the golden book was that friendly and willing to give her detailed answers, but she was grateful for the book.

She had already used her three questions of the month, which means that she had to wait until May until she could get some answers she desperately needed.

Zara was grateful for the golden book and the spring water she had been diligently consuming daily. Without those two, she didn't know what she would have become by now.

Maybe due to the grief and worry of dying in June, she would be only skin and bones.

But now, she could even eat porridge, something she had not done in many years. She had spent too many years taking nutrient solutions, vitamins, and medicines.

She had forgotten the taste of real food to the extent that her hatred of the kitchen was so intense even Emma and Ava knew what not to say whenever they were in her presence.

But thanks to her golden finger, her small body looked better than before. Although it was small, it was healthier than before. She could do a lot of things she couldn't do before and for that, she was grateful.

Although she would have taken a short time to retrieve the ring from Lingren village, Zara decided not to.

She remembered that her wish had to be filial to her family and since they had money, she couldn't use the money to make everyone happy.

So, she wanted to give her parents and siblings something that she would personally make, another reason why she wanted to sew hankies for them.

Although it could be seen as nothing special to other people, Zara didn't care. Besides her broadcasting her trip and everything LIVE, she knew how much her family would appreciate her gifts.

That was something that she would be giving them for the first time, after all.

As a child who had decided to become filial in the future, she wasn't only going to stop making hankies but would learn all sorts of virtues a daughter and sister should have.

She was not going to live with the label of a spoiled child for the rest of her life only.

At least adding something as virtuous and filial to the label would also be good.

'Zara, the spoiled, filial and virtuous princess! It has a nice ring to it!'

She foolishly thought as her eyes closed, yawning as sleepiness finally caught up to her.

Thank you for your support always.
