Elias and Maddison bid farewell to Leo sometime later. As much as the elderly gentleman wanted his granddaughter to stay, she was determined to leave with Elias. 

Even one of the most powerful men in the underworld can't tell his own granddaughter what to do. 

As they drove away in the limousine, Maddison leaned against Elias's shoulder. They interlocked hands, sharing a tender moment together in silence.

"I hope I didn't cause you too much trouble," Maddison said to Elias. 

Having some time to think, she realized she must have caused quite a stir. She was almost kidnapped and left the party with Leo Salvarone. She was certain gossip had to be flying everywhere. 

Elias didn't reply immediately. Maddison was quick to notice. When she looked up at him, she noticed how odd his expression was. A sense of dread filled her stomach. 

"Did something else happen?" She asked.
