Chapter 28: Morning Rush

"Now, where's that folder..." Dell scanned her room. "Ah, there it is," she said, picking it up from the floor near the sofa.

The occupant of the sofa stirred from his sleep. "Hm?"

"Oh, sorry," Dell whispered. "Didn't mean to wake you."

"Are you leaving already?" He sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"Yeah, I have an eight AM. But you can sleep some more."

"Nah, I'll get up now," he said, pushing up from the sofa and proceeding to stretch his arms and torso.

Sean had come over to hang out the night before. But she had so much work to do that he just ended up watching television on one end of the sofa while she worked on the other. And while she was working, he had proceeded to massage her feet. And that had felt really good after such a hectic day, that she hadn't even bothered to stop him. And in the middle of it, she had fallen asleep. When she woke up, she had found herself sleeping on most of the couch, with her legs on Sean's lap. And Sean had been sleeping in a sitting position.

This had momentarily surprised her. She hadn't expected to fall asleep, nor to find Sean asleep with her. But after the initial shock, she had found herself starting at his peaceful sleeping face.

Sean really was cute. And there were things about him that she actually appreciated. One was the fact that, while he didn't approve of her working habits, he respected her need to work. And so, when she was working last night, he ended up massaging her feet instead of demanding her attention. She had to chuckle. He also didn't back down when he wanted something, either. He had stayed to hangout, just as he had said he would, despite her showing him how much work she needed to do. He was such a child in that sense.

She had gotten up and had nudged him to lie down. Then she had proceeded to get ready for work.

"Oh, breakfast is ready when you feel like it." Dell zipped her bag shut, then pointed at the two boiled eggs on the table. "Those are soft-boiled eggs. Since you like that."

"Oh, wow, you made breakfast." Sean looked at the full table of boiled eggs, bacon, sausages and toast. " Thanks! Aren't you eating."

"Sorry, no time." She put on her shoes and was about to leave, when she remembered something. She approached him and handed him a key. "Here, these are my spare keys. When you're done, please lock my apartment and give the keys back to me. You know the drill."

"Yeah, yeah..."

"Well, I'm off!"

"Just a second." Sean suddenly held her arm. "You're forgetting something."

"I am? "

Sean tapped his cheek .
