5 The Unexpected

"Happy birthday!" A messages from an unknown number.

"Thank you! Uhhmm, sorry but may I know your name? Your number is not registered in my phone."

"This is Alex. I lost my phone during the encounter. And I got your number from Marcus."

I couldn't explain the joy the moment his name appeared in the screen. Thank God he's okay! If only I could hugged him and make him felt how scared I am, and how I missed him so much.

"When I heard you had an encounter with the enemy, my knees went trembling and all I could do is pray that your team is safe. I'm scared..."

"Shhh... don't be scared. You know that I won't leave you. And no matter what will happen, my heart and thoughts will always be with you."

I wanted to believe him, but reality is, how could he say those words when we haven't met yet in person? Not even in Skype or Messenger we had a chance to talk. Not because he's busy, but according to him he's not that Techy and doesn't have a smart phone.
