1 a promise

As luck would have it the apple fell far from, he trees, but it was habit that helped it role back to the trunk of the cursed tree. I thought I left my childhood memories behind a door that would be closed for good, but as life is nothing is truly lost. I left my home when I was 17 left for Seoul to peruse my life long dream and become a doctor, 10 years had past since then and I have become one of Korea's top leading heart doctors but through all the success I couldn't move from the past.

The memories and the promises I had given shackle me and urge me to work as best as I can in order to achieve their dream, to find out the truth my dark truth

"Kim so, are you up?" I hear my little sister calling from down the stairs unlike her I'm usually up at 6

I brush my long silky hair and twist it in a bung

"yes, young ju I'm up" I raise my voice.

I spray my perfume and touch up my slightly tinted lips, my look as always in pristine shape. As most young Korean women, looks were very important and to be taken seriously in my field looks amount to a lot. My dream was not only to be the best female doctor in the country but I wanted to run the best surgical hospital in Korea. Luck was in favored because I was called in today for a meeting, and interview for a job position in a private hospital that belong to the largest hospice company n the world "Kym heart hospital"

I was meting with the head of the surgical team Dr.joo Ung he was a prestigious doctor in our field and I was delighted to have the chance to work alongside him.

"good morning, young ju" I greet her my little sister was 17 and a beautiful young lady but her interests were all in the wrong place.

"morning oni "she says not bothering to raise her eyes to meet me "oh by the way can your lone money, me and the girls are going to see Jong "

"you have exams coming up, you need to stay home and prepare the college entry exam will decide your future"

I sit down and have a quick bite while she looks up at me rolls her pretty ayes at me and huffs

"I'm not you, I have no interest in academics what I want is to become a trainee "she flips her blond and pink streaked hair back

"I'm gong to be kore's best entertainer "

"you can do that I have no issue but studies first I will not support your dreams if you don't have a good academic background fist, remember beauty withers but grace and intellect only prosper"

"oh, here we go again with the lectures"

She pushes off the table and put on her loud and flashy sneakers and skips to the door

I'm once again left to clean up the mess I quickly load the washing machine, and out the house. I bought this duplex after year of hard work and lack of sleep; our parents were middle class workers my father was a secretary at a big firm and my mother was a teacher. they passed away in a car crash five years ago they were celebrating their 25 anniversaries but as faith would have it, they died both.
