1 The Beginning

Mia POV

Fear. It was thick in the air and everyone was afraid of this new unknown. There is more fear in the world now then when shifters and other supernatural beings became known to the world. My name is Mia Rose and I am a shifter. I have two forms I can shift into. The first is a black jaguar and the second is a dragon. No one can know about my second form because it's the the first time that I know about that someone can shift into a dragon. Everyone found out about shifters and other supernatural beings 15 years ago.

Back to the present

Everyone is in fear because this wormhole appeared out of no where, and there is something that looks like a planet coming through it. Scientists have predicted that we have two hours before it collides with earth. Many countries have shot missiles at it, but all it does is get sucked into the wormhole. So they have given up on that approach.

Now there is less than ten minutes left before it arrives. I am with my parents and both of my younger siblings. My parents are holding each other while the two little ones are in my arms. My father is a black jaguar like me. My mother is a normal human and so far the two little ones take after her. We now have less than a minute and are all staring at the planet that is about to hit us.

Everything is in darkness. I finally come to and found my whole family had disappeared. I get up and start to tell their names but all that I'm greeted with is silence. I start checking myself out to see if I am injured anywhere. The only thing I noticed is something else inside me besides the two souls that I shift into. Before I can look further into it I hear screeming. I start running towards the direction of the screams. I emerge into a clearing and find a group of people being attacked by something that looks like a lizard if it had a extra set of legs and a extra tail.

In the group of people I notice another shifter who is badly injured trying to protect the group. I don't hesitate and run towards the mutated lizard. the group finally noticed me and starts yelling at me to run and save myself. I ignored them and picked up the pace. I called in my mind for Gem, my black jaguar, and then shifted. I let her take over attacking since she has a better chance of winning against it than I do. The mutated lizard finally noticed that I was there.

It decided to ignore the group of people and the injured shifter. It started to try and attack me seeing that I was a much bigger threat than the rest. It dove towards us and Gem jumped out of the way and then pounced forward biting and clawing the back right leg. She quickly jumped away as the mutated lizard whipped itself around and tried biting her. Gem kept at it making it more and more wounds on it.
