5 Chapter 5: Meeting New People

After Mia got done chewing out leader #4, she walked away while he had a stunned look on his face. The guards that came with him to fight the Bears were behind them. They all moved aside with smiles and thanked her for her help when she went past. After they left, all the leaders had smirks on their faces. They all headed back towards their headquarters to discuss about the new info about the mutant animals having powers.

Jasmine, "that was so cool what you just did." Mia, "I guess. Not sure if I want to stay here though." Jasmine, "yeah with everything that's happened I don't think I want to stay here either." Mia, "we will stay a few days to see how it is. If we still don't like it then we will leave here." Jasmine, "okay whatever you decide I'll follow you." Mia, "okay let's find somewhere to stay for the night first and then find some food."

Jasmine, "sounds like a plan." The girls decided to stick together instead of splitting up and were able to eventually find a room they could use for a few days. They then decided to go find some food and stumbled across this restaurant that was selling steaks, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, a bun, and a piece of strawberry pie for dessert. They both loved the food complimenting the waitress about the meal and agreeing to come back again.

They decided to walk around a bit before going back to the rooms for the night. As they were walking they came across a group of men who were listening to what looks like their leader talk. Leader, "we can't stay here for much longer. They don't allow us to help fight those mutant animals. All they want us to do is sit here and do nothing. We can't keep going like this. We have to get out and run and fight something."

Person #1, "when are we leaving?" leader, "three days from now." Person #4, "what do you want us to take with us." Leader, "grab the basic necessities, clothes, canned food, water, excetera." Person #3, "are we going to take any vehicles with us as well." Leader, "we probably should, that way we don't have to carry everything by hand." Person #6, "looks like we got two little birdies listening in on our conversation."

The whole group turns towards Mia and Jasmine sizing them up. Person #2, "can we help you ladies with anything." Mia, "actually you can. When you leave here in three days time mind letting us go with you." Person #5, "and why would we let two little girls go with us." Mia, "one we are not little, two we can fight alongside you, three we have two vehicles already, and four we have new info on the mutant animals out there." Leader "what type of new info?" Jasmine, "some of them have powers." Person 3 and 4 burst into laughter. Person #6, "don't try and trick us with something like that."

Mia, "so you think we are joking." The group all agreed Yes except the leader who had an open mind about it. Leader, "do you have proof." Mia, "a couple of bears we're just killed that could control the Earth that almost brought the wall down." Leader, "when was this." Mia, "about 3 hours ago." Person #2, "boss could they be telling the truth. The wall was shaking pretty bad around the same time that they said." Leader, "have you seen any other types of mutant animals with powers?"

Mia, "yes we saw a wolf that froze the ground as it walked, saw another wolf with fire for fur, a bird with lightning, another bird that had feathers that were as sharp as swords." Leader, "alright I believe you. Let me think and talk it over with my boys and get back to you with an answer. Where are you two girls staying." After being told where they were staying both groups went their separate ways.

The boys went to discuss whether they want the two girls to join them or not and the girls decided to head back to where they are staying. When they got back to the room they decided just to go to bed early. The next morning when they woke up they went and found some breakfast. They ate until they were full and started thinking about what they wanted to do today.

While they were discussing the group of people that they were talking to last night walked in. Both groups were surprised to see each other. The leader started walking towards a two girls and sat down and started talking. Leader, "we stopped by where you are staying earlier but you two weren't there. So we decided to go get some breakfast first. Didn't expect to run into you two here though." Mia, "we didn't expect you and your group to come to a decision this quickly." Leader, "yeah we stayed up pretty late talking it over."

Mia, "and your decision." Leader, "we decided to let you to join us but I am in charge and you both have to listen to me." Mia, "that's fine as long as you don't go overboard with your orders." Leader, "don't worry. I am usually a pretty laid-back guy." Mia, "all right what time in two days do you guys plan on leaving." Leader, "we want to be out of the sanctuary by 9 am."

Mia, "alright we will be ready by then." Leader, "alright see you then bye girls." After saying goodbye the girls finished their breakfast and decided to head back and start preparing for leaving the sanctuary. Two days went by and the girls were ready to go. They left and met up with the group and headed towards the two vehicles. Everything was loaded up and everyone got into the vehicles.

A little bit before noon they all stopped and decided to eat some food and discuss the route they wanted to take. When noon hit everyone started hearing a weird person talking into their head. "Congratulations on Surviving The Rebirth of your planet. Every one of you should have noticed the change done to your planet. Every one has been physically changed in some way, some more than others. A few you have had the blessing of being able to change into mythological animals. They will be the strongest among you and will become The Pillars of Strength. In less than four hours they will have their first shift and will become known to all. The two mythological beings that have been chosen are dragons and phoenixes. One of you will be able to turn into both and he or she will be your leader. There will also be some among you who will be able to control the elements. One year from now portals will appear and the strongest amongst you will be chosen to represent your planet against other inhabited planets. Have a fun time and see you in one year."
