10 Chapter 10

Fiona slowly opened her eyes and turned to switch off her alarm. Her eyes were wide when she saw the time.

"Holy crap! I am going to be late."

She quickly got up and rushed to the bathroom. She took a bath and was simultaneously brushing her teeth. As it was Friday, Fiona could wear casual to work. So, she put on my black jeans and a casual gray top.

When she ran towards the living area, she was stopped dead in her tracks. Justin was in the kitchen, cooking. When he felt her presence, he turned around to find a shocked Fiona looking at him curiously.

"You can cook?" She asked him curiously.

"Yes, pretty much. I enjoy cooking." Justin shrugged.

"That is so cool; I would prefer to eat rather than cook." She stated.

"Really, well, that's pretty unusual for a woman to say, but then it means I have more chances to cook. So it's a win-win situation for me." He cracked a

grin. "By the way, what's the rush? You all dressed up." He asked her curiously.

"Oh crap, I am late." She panicked.

"Relax! We have taken a leave today; remember we need to check our new home." He laughed.

She groaned in annoyance. "God, I forgot."

"Sit here. Breakfast is ready; then we need to check out the house that mom selected for us." He told her.

Justin placed a plate for her, and he himself sat down to eat.

"The food is delicious."

He laughed, "Shocked by the fact that the CEO of the company is a better chef than any professional chef out there."

"You are so full of yourself."

"Yes, I am." He winked, and she rolled her eyes.

"So, how are you feeling now?" He asked her suddenly.

"Fine, I guess. Why, you ask?" Fiona was confused.

He gave her a look that said, 'Are you seriously asking me that?' Then she remembered collapsing into him.

"Oh yeah, I am feeling much better, and thanks to you and Grace, to which I notice, where is she?"

"Oh, about that, I gave her leave." He answered.

"Okay. As it is, she works too hard for her own good." Fiona stated coolly.

"I know. There are multiple times when I have to force or blackmail her into taking leave."

After breakfast, they left his apartment and were on their way to their new home selected by Sara and Daniel. Thankfully, this time, the ride was

comfortable, and they both listened to music.

The house selected by Sara was perfect. It was the home that Fiona had always dreamed about. The interiors were done cleverly. The colors were coordinated well. It was neither too bright nor too dull. It has been just simple but still looked sophisticated. The garden was so mesmerizing. The best part was the purple orchids, which were captivating. Her favorite section would be the book zone. Every single corner of the house had a wow factor. Sara

designed it well.

Justin's mom has great taste; well, obviously, she would have as she is one of the top interior designers. He was observing every single expression of

Fiona. It was amusing to see her. She looked impressed and had an awed look on her face throughout the tour.

She looked cute. He could only tell by looking at her face that this was like her dream house, which would soon become their home. At least they could

finally have the proper beginning of their marriage that they or any other couple deserved.
