Chapter 6- Thin air (Edited)

"Game over!!!...." the assassin shouted as he kicked down the last door to the last stall to find nothing but spider webs and lively roaches crawling all over the place. "Tch! That bitch!! Where did she go???" The strength of his kick left his combat boots foot print on it.

He growled in frustration and looked around once again. There were no signs of her anywhere. There were no room to fit a grown woman under the cabinets of the sink. There was nowhere else to hide! No windows that is big enough to let an adult escape through.

"Fucktard! Ugh… How did I lose her???" He was about to exit the bathroom, but noticed a newly bought metallic bat on the floor. He squinted at it and scoffed, "Probably some meddling stupid kids left it here because it was dirtied. Hah, were they playing the old ways of hide and seek or some-….Wait.."

When he thought of kids running around and playing hide and seek, he realized something. When kids play this game, they only look at places where they could reach and is observable. He smirked and slowly lifted his head after bending down to retrieve the metallic bat in his hands.

"There you are..Little Kitten. Did you think you could outsmart me? Huh?"

When she first entered the bathroom, she knew the stalls would be the most obvious and unsafe place to hide in. Therefore, she never considered those stalls as a place for a safe hideout. She thought of hiding behind the door so that when he slams it open, she could attempt to escape.

At the same time, that plan wouldn't have worked because of how powerful his strength may be when he barges into the restroom. After looking around, she decided to risk it and climb up to the pipes, hoping he wouldn't notice her up there.

Shi Xue climbed up the ceiling where there were pipes and steady metal bars that she could hold onto. If he hadn't looked up, then she could've gotten away with it.

His eyes were bloodshot red as his prey was back on track and within his radius to catch. He dragged the metal bat across the bumpy floor where screech sounds similar to nails against chalkboards painfully damaged their ears.

Swinging the bat sideways, it hit multiple pipes and created a tensed atmosphere that could suffocate one alive. His chilling smile and laughter rung her ears as his nasty teeth and disgusting breath added on to the odor. The way his scar moved along with his crooked looking nose could make one's heart shudder in fear.

His eyes elevated and met hers, "I told you that I would find you. Let's end this game of tag, shall we?" He slammed the bat against the stall doors and threatened her to climb down. Without a bit of sympathy, he asked, "Shall I give you some free plastic surgery tips with my blade before skinning you alive from your face and down? Or should I cut off your toes and fingers first and have you wear it as a necklace before stabbing your eyes out and sewing your lips shut? Your choice."
