How Does it Feel?

The next morning June awoke feeling sharp pain throughout her back. Her new body was too fragile and couldn't take sleeping on the bare ground. Luckily she wouldn't have to get used to it. If her hustle went as planned she wouldn't be sleeping on the floor again. By nightfall, she planned to stay in a nearby hotel.

Just thinking about it lighten her mood. She'd been thinking about taking a hot shower for the longest time. Yet in the hospital, she never got the chance.

Before that, she needed to return to the café. She knew that the first match would be nearing its end and that was a perfect time to rattle up the crowd. Maybe get in a few more bets before it was too late.

June hurried over to the café and slipped past the staff once again. It was easier this time as everyone was focused on the flat screen televisions in the front to notice her.

When she got to the computers the first match had ended. The Heat, another winning streak team utterly destroyed the Strikers with a score of Five to zero. Of course, just like June had predicted many of the online accounts she spoke to the day before were going crazy over the win.

BANNER2: HAHAHA!!! That'll be Reds soon!!

SloanOlder: Ouch, that was painful to watch

NoahMess68: You must be confusing! Reds will definitely win!!!

NO669: Ur still going on about that??

SloanOlder: Just give up while you still can.

NoahMess68: H*ll no! Do you know how much money's riding on this?!?

BANNER2: Pfftt! Idiot!

Seeing everyone's reaction to the first game June checked on the betting pool. The bets on Red's win was significantly lower just as she hoped. If to many people voted on Red there would be less money to go around. Though she honestly wished everyone would vote on Queens immediately and save her the trouble. However, there was still stubborn people like NoahMess68 who refused to agree with the majority.

Which wasn't all bad they could be useful. Although these, in particular, were majority a pain. They yelled nonsense that ends up creating unbeneficial fights and even scaring away potential gamblers. Something June couldn't accept.

R.F.W12: BANNER2 you can't be serious?? Just wait for the game to start.

PeterI.M.H: There's no need we already know the result.

R.F.W12: Result? Where? Did you already forget the name of your oh so precious Queens?

NoahMess68: Right! Reds might have been having a rough time recently but this is their year!

June can't help rolling her perfectly dazzling eyes. 'What was this idiot thinking? I guess the saying is true, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink'

If she didn't already know the results she would be sweating bullets with comments like that. He wasn't helping his cause at all but he did help a few more people decide to switch teams.

NO669: Exactly how could the Reds ever expect to win against our Queens?

SloanOlder: It's pathetic really

BANNER2: OH OH!!!! The game's starting!

With the game starting, June switched back to the betting pool. There over 300,000 that had been gambled on the two teams. Most of it was on the Queen's win but there was a little over 1,000 on the Red's side. Putting her in a good position but the problem came with all the people still on the Red's side. They were still far from few so she decided to keep the pool open.

The first quarter was supposed to be largely in the Queen's favor so she was sure that many people on the Red's side would switch over. No matter how faithful they were money was no joke. No one was going to lose that much money simply because of baseless faith.

Juna left the computer room and headed to the front where most of the people were. They were all as expected huddled around the two big-screen televisions anticipating the game. Some setback behind the crowd just as cocky as the online accounts.

She as well setback and waited patiently for the show to begin. She unlike everyone else didn't need belief or trust in a team. June already knew for a fact what would happen or at least that's what she thought.

Soon the first and second quarter came to a close put the Reds had yet to make their comeback. Queens were still in the lead with four points over them and they didn't look like they were letting up anytime soon. They were playing like it was the end of the world and this was their last game.

'What the h*ll? How could this be I remember reading news about the game online? Nothing should have changed.'

NoahMess68: D*mn! My money!!!!

BANNER2: Told you! Change your bet before it's too late!

PeterI.M.H: Lol, the only one that's going to be on the Red's team by the end of this is that dumba** R.F.W12.

R.F.W12: Don't underestimate them

NO669: Underestimate them? Open your eyes!!!! You're so screwed!

June couldn't disagree, it did look like she was the one out of luck. The Reds hadn't scored a single point and she was flat broke. She couldn't help but sweat a little.

R.F.W12: tsk, just focus on your bet and I'll focus on mine!

BANNER2: HAHAH someone mad??

June wasn't giving up. If there was one thing she believed in that cold hard evidence and that's exactly what she had. She knew the Reds won for a fact and they were going to win. She just needed to patiently wait.

R.F.W12: Not at all, I'll be closing the betting now.

PeterI.M.H: Sealing your fate huh?

NoahMess68: God! I switched just in time.

NO669: Hope you're a millionaire R.F.W12 HAHAH

The third quarter finally started and with it came another score for the Queens. The first half of it was mostly the Queen's taunting red until suddenly their best player made a mistake. In his attempts to make a fool out of a red team member he slipped and fractured his wrist.

In the time that the match was stopped and team members were switched out Reds finally got their act together. In a matter of minutes, the game was turned on its head. The once underdogs of the match made two swift scores before the end of the quarter putting them at a score of three to five.

At this time the gamblers on the match also began to sweat. More than ninety percent had already switched over to the Queen's and betting was over. If the team couldn't hold on everyone would lose a large amount of money they would never be able to get back. While a certain small woman would gain a small fortune for herself.

BANNER2: Tf is this!!!

NoahMess68: Noooo! I just switched over

SloanOlder: Calm down guys! We still have one more quarter to go and the Queens are still in the lead. This is just a minor setback.

PeterI.M.H: Right nothing to worry about.

The last quarter started. Both teams were putting out a hundred percent. One to stop the other for making any points and the other pushing pass with all their might. Sadly the Queen's didn't have enough stamina to keep up with the Reds after joking around too much. They fell behind and the Reds were able to gain the two more points they needed to tie.

There were less than two minutes left in the game and everyone was on the edge of their seats. The tension in the cafe was so thick June could cut it with a knife. she wouldn't dare look away from the television.

In front of them, all the Reds were chasing down the field. They made sure to pass back and forth through three different players to keep the Queen's off them. They were successful as the ball got closer and closer to the goal. Then with all the power left in one teammate's leg, he rocketed the ball towards the goal.

In the end, it was all up to the goalie but even he wasn't enough. The ball slipped through his fingers and rolls into the goal. Match end six to five.

I had a lot I wanted to say here like how this chapter was supposed to be posted yesterday but I couldn't figure out how to write it or dumb jokes I came up with while writing but in the end I couldn't really formulate my thoughts so all I can say is expected another chapter in the coming hours.
