After finishing our meal, we stayed for a few hours before deciding to continue the search.

I'm still ahead of the line of course.

"Can we talk?" I flinched when Yalex suddenly appeared beside me.

What is it he wanted to talk about?

Is he going to ask me why I erased his mind?

What if he asked me to bring his memories back?

What if he's mad at me?

"Listen, after what happened yesterday! We haven't properly talk..." he said.

How can I even talk to him after what I did?

I deserve to be punished for being so careless!

"First... Everyone's been saying that you kept blaming yourself! Jean! You don't have to! No! You should never do that! It's not your fault! Okay?" he said with his usual charming tone.

"Yes it is... If it wasn't because of me, you won't forgot everything that happened yesterday! I was very careless... I always am..." I said.

I feel like my tears are about to fall again so I immediately tried to hold it in.

"Fine! If that's how you see it! But it's over now! I'm fine! And I don't even mind it at all! So can we just forget about it now?" he said.

Why does he keep staring at me?

Is something wrong with my face?

Did he finally realize that I'm not beautiful?

"Prince Shade said you've been overthinking way more than I can imagine! I assure you Jean! I don't hold any grudge! I just want to fixed whatever's wrong between us! I don't wanna make you uncomfortable with me around you!" He said.

"I'm so sorry... I'm starting to become a burden... Why did I even join this game..." I whispered and he sighed deeply.

"If you hadn't join, we wouldn't have met that day..." he whispered and ran back to Acrox side.

What does he meant by that?

Of course we wouldn't have met if I hadn't join.

"Laurant! We've talked about this! You shouldn't get yourself attached to that elf! She's a Daoan!" Salazar said.

They've been convincing me to stop talking to Ayane for hours now.

Last night. I almost kissed her if only Coleen didn't saw us.

I know I'm not suppose to get attach to anyone. Not even to my comrades.

King Wellord's people are in control of us, black witches. And if we do anything against them, they will kill us.

"You dare lecture Laurant about this! Then maybe you should break up with Nina!" Coleen said with a sarcastic tone and that earned her a glare from Salazar.

"Just stop! None of you can lecture me! I know what I'm doing!" I said and tried to avoid them.

"Do not avoid us Laurant! We're on the same boat here! Only the three of us can be a help to each other!" Salazar said.

They're right.

We have no choice. Even if I wanted to help my friends as much as I can. I can't.

I shouldn't have just joined the game in the first place.

I fear, that once the day when we find the key came. They might control us to kill them.

Among me, Acrox and Yalex. They said Iam the strongest because Iam also a black witch. I don't want the day to come when I will end up killing my friends.

Salazar is right. I shouldn't get myself attached to Ayane. In other words, I will only be creating my own weakness.

Though I can not deny that Ayane did really caught my attention.

Me and my friends hardly noticed a special woman even among the most fairest maiden in the land. There should be always something in them that can get our attention.

That's why when Yalex introduced Jean, I knew right away. I knew that Yalex likes her.

"Quite deep in your thoughts!" Ayane suddenly appeared in front of me.

Why of all people her? A Daoan...

If I know better. Their family will do everything just to not disgrace their family's name.

"You shouldn't be talking to me..." I said almost whispering.

"Why not? I'm pretty sure your blade won't slit a maiden's throat!" she said and laughed.

"I've slayed many maiden before! Much better than you are! So you're no different" I said and she just laughed.

How is she not scared? Can't she see I'm trying to scare her?

"If that's the best you got to scare me off well you did your best!" she said flashing her bright smile on my face.

It's more like she's teasing me.

"What do you want from me?" I asked and she laughed.

"I don't want anything from you Laurant! So you can relax! It's not like it's a bad thing if I want to be your friend!" she said.

"Anyway! Jean said that a river is nearby! So we were planning to taka a bath there! Me and the rest of the girls are gonna go first so you better not sneak put and stay with the rest of the guys!" she said and drasticallh pulled me to where the others are.

Then she left to join the girls at the river.

"Laurant! Where have you been?" Acrox asked while playing with a small rock.

"I was just walking around! Don't worry!" I said.

We waited for a half an hour and the girls came back.

"Where's Jean?" Yalex asked.

I looked at the girls one by one and there's only five of them. The mermaid is missing.

"Oh Jean! Don't worry about her! She said she will be back!" Nina said while combing her hair with her hands.

"She said she's going to try to search for her sisters in the river!" Selenea added.

"But does she know her way back here?" Lexus asked.

"She said she does!" Coleen said.

"You should hurry and take a bath at the river before she returns!" Abie said and the girls started giggling.

We decided to go to the river. We had to take off our clothes since we don't have any more cothes to get change with.

"Don't be too serious. Acrox and Yalex might suspect you!" Salazar said with a fake smile plastered on his face.

"Don't worry! They're used to me being like this!" I said amd ignored him.

After only a few minutes...

"Something's coming!" Acrox said all of a sudden.

We scanned the area and sense who or what is coming.

"Yalex?" a familiar voice suddenly called his name.

When Yalex turned to her. Her face immediately flushed red almost the same color as blond.

"Jean! Did you find your sisters?" Yalex asked and smiled at her.

He's probably just teasing her.

She immediately turned back and we can definitely see the pearls decorated on her golden and silky hair

"What's wrong?" Prince Shade asked trying not to laugh.

Seriously, which woman wouldn't be embarassed if she found herself in front of naked men.

"I... I should came back later!" she said but before she could swim, Yalex spoke.

"If you leave you might not be able to return!" he said.

"Okay! You guys! We should probably turn around! Or better yet cover your eyes!" Lexus said and we did as he said but mostly tease Yalex.

Of course he did the same so once Jean goes to the land, he will cover her with clothes made of leaves.

We stayed for a couple of minutes more before we decided to go back.
