The forest seemed so calming than before as they both walked forward with slow and easy steps.

She could not help but notice how faster Mortal was strolling away...as if afraid to be next to her when she had saved his life more than once by then.

If anything he should be grateful to her rather than showing her his attitude.

If he had thought that his behavior of suddenly turning all cold from barely keeping his mouth shut to talk, would itk her, then he was at a faulty misconception...

"Why are you walking so fast as if to run away from me?"

And there goes away the silence that had been walking alongside them. He thought she liked it better that way and now was the one questioning him?

You really underestimate my speed...do you?"

She was before his face, levitating up in the air with a smirk on her face as he had to apply brakes on the ground with his feet, or else he would have hit her right away.

"Now I would be a fool of all the existence to do that, my Princess!"

She did not miss the mocking tone in the way he put it and walked past her. She eyed him and then matched his swiftness, by moving just beside him.

He felt self-conscious when she kept in motion with him by staring at him, nonstop.

It was creepy and weird straight away and he could not help but think if she had changed her mind and wanted to end his life to satisfy her blood thirst...so all of a sudden being nice to him.

"You are right about that I have not had a drop of fresh blood, running hot in the nerves of a mortal for a long time now."

And that made him halt his steps right away, taking his time to peek at her if she really meant it...if he should it should not run for his life?

She had not fed on anything since the time she had escaped the palace and the Capitol.

By then being reminded of blood, she indeed felt that thirst and could not help but want some in her mouth.

Here, the animals had the kind of blood that disgusted her. All slimy green, not red like the way she liked.

"Now do not tire that peanut brain thinking I would kill for your blood...I m not a monster!"

Ambrosia snarled and then moved forward, leaving him behind. He ran to be in pace with her.

He had noticed that she was hell-bent on proving herself from being not a monster...did they all feel the same about her?

"Do not fret it now...ask it because I already know what you have been thinking."

She said, keeping a straight face, still moving through the air at a slow pace and him alongside with his bare feet.

"You already know so what is the point of asking?"

Ruqui pointed that out. And it made Ambrosia tilt her head to eye him. He did not shy away and peeked at her.

For as long as she could remember, no ordinary mortal had ever made contact with her, the way this young lad was following her, without an ouch of fear.

All that stood before her, without shaking in fear of their life were the mortal soldiers. Rest the inhabitants of the Kingdom and the Capitol, they all felt threatened by the very existence of her.

She did not remember doing anything against them. All she ever did was to kill and hunt for their safety itself but with time, the songs of heroism started being sung with a soul of fear in it.

They feared if they were to go against her, would she not raise her blade to put them all down?

Instead of being a people's princess, she had become the 'Monster Hunter' and the monster in itself.

Only a monster could hunt down a monster. Only a monster could show the amount of cruelty she showed to those who were a monster.

"I do not know what they say in the Capitol...but here in the village, all we ever heard was the stories of another day being saved by the Princess of the Capitol!

And all the little girls would want to be just like the Princess, strong, braveheart and not fearful."

Instantly it made Ambrosia look at him when he uttered those words out.

"You can be anything Princess, but not a monster."

"And why would you think so?"

She questioned him right away. They both by then halted on their track.

He was making her hear things that she had always wanted to and she was not going to let it sink in her. She was way too mature for that.

"Is it because I saved your life twice? I could backstab and take it anytime..."

"Not about that Princess...did you not get it?"

Ruqui shook his head. Of course, just because she had been all brute to him with her words, reminding him of his pathetic existence every now and then, and saved his life instead...it did not still qualify for her not to be a monster.

"You are at least not monster enough to ruin a young Prince's life to save the day. that makes you not a monster for being considerate enough to care for that one heart too..."

She was not expecting him to spit those things out at all. Her escaping, and the reasons behind it did not relate to what he just said at all.

She only escaped because she could not imagine being in any bond that she did not desire and to find an alternative to the impending problem.

"Your silence tells me you will reject my argument but never mind, I m a very opinionated man and there is no changing my mind to letting you know that if you were a monster, I would be not walking alongside you...or risk my life to save yours, even though you do not need any saving by climbing tress to tress to find you after you left me hanging in that tree...

If you were a monster, or even close to it, I would have been long breathing less and dead, six feet under the ground."

By concluding whatever he felt like saying to her before she could read it from his mind, he began walking forward again and only stopped when she opened her mouth from behind.

"I did not leave you behind...or at least did not mean to..."
