Inkeri's World

Ryan's body had to take the brunt of the damage and wouldn't let him protect himself but instead he kept curling further into a ball. Owen saw this a became worried as he is worried the voice in his head would make him kill Ryan at this rate.

He didn't want to be the killer of his own grandson just because a voice is pushing him to do it. When he started to show hesitation, the disembodied just let out a sigh and took control of Owen's body.

"Owen, I have a reason for doing this and you hesitating is annoying. I will take control and test him to see if he is even a worthy candidate."

"What do you mean candidate? Why are you doing this to yourself?"

"Owen, all I can inform you is that if this doesn't happen then the collapse will."

When Owen heard that he decided to shut up as he overheard the voice convey a depressed tone when the collapsed was mentioned. He shifted his focus back on who was currently in a ball protecting inkeri with all he possesses with blood splattered around the area.

It wasn't visible, but all the bones in Ryan's legs were destroyed or shattered with all the scars from his childhood becoming exits for blood. The crowd who saw this became more scared as they have never seen someone so harshly punished before.

Some moved up to see if they could do anything helpful but the moment they move closer a wall that felt like a ocean making hard to breathe or move was there. Others just sat back and watch to see what would happen to this boy as it is obvious since if Owen wanted him dead he would be already.

They all had a hint of worry though as this was just a kid and deep down most wouldn't be able to bear to see a kid hurt normally, but seeing the old man floating there they thought again. Some felt guilty, while others felt horror, but one thing felt was the determination flowing from Ryan.

They thought they could feel his conviction flowing through them but Ryan, on the other hand, was the only who knew what was going on. "HAHAHAHA!!! It finally happened as the glory of the eighth is upon us," laughed the disembodied voice as his goal was complete.

The voice kept the pressure constant with less increasing to see where the pressure that Ryan was releasing would go. At the same time the voices used Owen's energy to get all the people out of the area, so they wouldn't see the upcoming effects.

Inkeri was trapped by Ryan's energy was able to see everything happening to him ever since Owen arrived. She felt a power that restricted everything that she wanted to do and basically made her feel like she was paralyzed.

All she could do is watch as Ryan gave up protecting himself just to make sure she was safe. What they didn't know is that the voice was only restricting her, and that was all he was doing to her.

Inkeri could see the pain expression and the blood flow from him as the power rose over time. It brought her a ton of pain to see this happen to him and reminded her of the fact that she hasn't done anything for Ryan instead it's always been him.

If she did help, she would end up causing more problems that followed causing her grief to well up even further. "Are you okay with your life being like this? Do you not want power to destroy everything in your path?"

Inkeri heard a voice that she couldn't figure out where it was coming from, but she figured this was her chance in life. "Do you want glory, riches, or even godhood?"

Everytime the voice spoke it would change voices not being consistent but she didn't care about that anymore. In her mind's space, she felt a tug that pulled her consciousness inward to see a woman and man sitting in there.

The space seemed like an area developed by stars and galaxies which it seemed like it was imposing. There was a scene of what was happening outside of her mind's space but the two people were more focused on her.

Inkeri gave a confused look as they had attributes of a fox beast but instead of one tail they have nine. "Are you the ones that called me in here?"

As the male was about to speak as rumbling of the space started to occur which produced the woman to give an unpleasant look. The couple looked up into the space to see a portal to perceive a murky shadow enter the realm of her mind.

All that could seen from this shadow represent his eyes which gave off a ferocious and imposing glint. The couple looked at each other and the male moved his hand to close off the area around Inkeri so she couldn't feel or hear anything.

When the shadow saw this, he started to converse with the couple which went on for minutes causing Inkeri to freak internal as Ryan grows weaker by each second. After 10 minutes had passed, the shadow caused a portal to appear and leave the area causing the look of the female fox to grow complicated.

The male released the box around Inkeri and started to speak to her, "Fox, I am unable to tell you much but what I can say is that I can give you power."

"I'm fine with anything but can you stop that old man from harming Ryan at all." said Inkeri with a desperate expression.

"That isn't possible because you are weak plus the one in control is to strong for us."

This caused Inkeri mind nearly crumb as she was about to lose everything that was left that could make her happy. The light had faded from her eyes, and her legs had gone limp with no strength to support her anymore.

At this moment the woman decides to speak up while the man gave an uncaring attitude about the scene. "Dear, while it's true that we can't help you instantly we can give you power plus you will see that you won't need our help. Look towards that boy and feel his drive because he is the key."

Those words struck a chord in Inkeri causing her to turn to the vision of Ryan to waves of forming in the air. A change in the vision occurred causing it to show Ryan's face and the fact that it was changing from pain to derange as if he is enjoying it.

His eyes lost the emerald color they had and instead became pitch black with seeming to release a hazy effect from them. His eyes would seem to pull people inward asking them questions on life and is worth going forward.

Inkeri saw this change and grew even more scared than previously before due to fact he didn't look like the same person anymore. This form of Ryan felt like the true beast that represents the harbinger of death and Inkeri questioned if this was any better.

"Are you sure he will be fine? He seems like he is losing himself and going insane. Is there no way to prevent this change in him?"

The male nine-tail fox laughed and berated Inkeri, "Stop it? You fool. This is the a chance for him and if he passes then his soul will be branded as an acolyte for the overlord of death. If he is stopped then, he will be crushed by the old man plus kill due to soul shock."

Inkeri made up her mind and looked at the couple and advised them, "If he has to undergo this pain then I will to accept my bloodline to grow stronger to assist him."The male looked at her and snickered as the woman flung her hand out towards Inkeri sending a drop blood her way.

It enters through her forehead and split into two parts one that fused with her soul and bonded with it while the other went to her heart. The drop in her heart isolated itself away for later use but she didn't care as a change outside of her mind started to happen.

"Looks like it time for it commence, so one last thing before I redirect you out don't get consumed by blind rage." Inkeri nodded to show she understood and the male dispatched her out of her mind back to her body which is until now in Ryan's embrace.

"Are you sure you will be fine not saying thing to her"

"Absolutely dear as I have never stated it before what's once additionally."
